LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Growing Wings by Fadobo 2015-12-15T13:20:00

I think anyone who plays it for a little bit will love the end of the first day. Didn't know to press up/down to start on the starting screen - something to consider, although I know you have it written here in the description. Nice ambience, enjoyed the casual vibe. Good use of Growing and Two Button Controls.

Super Space Invader by BlackBulletIV 2015-12-28T09:00:00

Absolutely fantastic. Various parts come together to create a really enjoyable experience with emerging gameplay.

The only thing to do is add -more- stuff. Without being limited to the time limit, you could easily add in eye candy and make a true high-end game that would sell for a few bucks on Steam.

So that's my gushing praise, here's the negatives:
-Could use more fluff and "innovative" weapons/enemies
-Because of that, I opted not to keep on playing (despite it being enjoyable enough as is)
-Audio gets a tad repetitive

so... add more stuff and sell the thing! It's a very nice, fun little game!

Reaching Skyward by SelfTitled 2015-12-15T13:40:00

Very enjoyable growing look. Nice to look at for sure. It is a shame there's little substance to it - apart from lacking carbon to expand, I never noticed any strain on my plant...? Maybe I should just try to build only stems and observe my failings, but it definitely looks like an idea to explore further!

retrovirus by razieliyo 2015-12-28T11:15:00

Neat puzzle game. Definitely feels like there is an optimal way to do things, and the themes are well used.

Hyperdemocracy by Dreyan 2015-12-15T13:11:00

Enjoyable little game. Reminds me of Papers, Please! Quite short, but more than passable for a game jam and, if longer, I probably would have been bored (without more exploration pieces). A nice experience as is. Growing theme seems a bit off, as it changes more than it grows. Still good.

Yggshroom by Ghen 2015-12-15T13:31:00

Fast paced, fun game. Double theme used effectively, and a 'tutorial' that explains everything. 2m4s, by the way.

Santa vs Mrs. Clause by hctgames 2015-12-15T13:33:00

Movement is awkward, but matches the idea. Very fun two player game.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Infinitely Worse - A Necromantic Adventure by mikelovesrobots 2020-10-05T05:05:08Z

Pretty rad, pretty simple. Only critique is I would have liked to have seen some graphical works? Purple and green is good colour scheme though, very nice little adventure. Pretty creative use of theme. Enjoyed the clicker.

Stuck in Time by Wesley Vong 2020-10-05T12:05:42Z

Pretty decent variant on the "clones of yourself" idea, sort of coupled with Snake, nice work!

At What Cost? by Sarenei 2020-10-05T11:21:15Z

That was great! Nice little game. Puzzles are fun, decent use of the theme. Must've been fun figuring how to save those inputs... Good job!

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Badabees by tanis 2024-10-10T11:09:06Z

I got to 6:05 - I'm 'bb'! Very fun once you get into it.

Those Darn Nanobot AI Will Be The End of Us All by mrspeaker 2024-10-10T12:01:45Z

Very cool control structure, got very hectic! Such cool art too! Felt like... Claymation.

Buzzy Hill by Klaus Peter 2024-10-10T10:26:03Z

Pretty fun, my babies didn't seem to be eating though? And then mushroom guy got stuck on my "selected item" so when I tried to do anything, the mushroom guy would interact with me.

Many Tiny Creatures by zell 2024-10-07T10:43:04Z

Pretty good little game, confusing with how the groups worked, but simple enough to experiment with. It didn't have any sound? You can opt out of being rated for audio btw. Cool little puzzles. Neat idea.

Honey Hoard by WubbaDuck 2024-10-07T03:03:25Z

Worked for me, I was able to play and make one Bee! I ended up with two honey. I reckon the main problem is "conveyance" of what you're doing and how to do it "in game".

Adding the "Cost" somewhere in game would be nice. For a game jam, I'd fully accept putting your resources text in game so people don't "have to read the game jam description" to be able to play.

Cool that you had worker bees that had "optional moves" to do - I can definitely *feel* the *system* you were making for essentially a little RTS! I do think that, if you have nectar, right clicking on an empty space should automatically use the "make honey in this area" function.

Good job :)

Critter Catchers by ItsAina 2024-10-10T10:49:41Z

Really smooth, funny/unexpected. Really challenging too - I think you're always meant to lose at least a few at the end - hard to tell whether it's better to catch more or keep more from escaping!

Planet Worm by Knipsch 2024-10-07T05:33:48Z

I won with like 21/25 ants attached, hard game! Very intuitive controls. Audio was not my cup of tea but all in all well done :)

Secret Shroom by skbadger 2024-10-09T13:10:31Z

Really fun little game - I think you had one level where you needed the absolute maximum jump distance though. Couldn't get past it. Something to consider - I remember learning that lesson in Uni D:

Look by sudocoffee 2024-10-10T11:15:45Z

Very cool idea that I haven't seen done quite like that. Closest I can imagine is that guy who ran a full world of warcraft raid from one keyboard and mouse.

MICROSLAYER by jellyfishhunter 2024-10-07T10:51:41Z

Okay so I had to dock a little of the "overall/fun" scores when I realised it was "sound by others" - that soundtrack and the audio really pull it all together and it was a jam. Really well made little game, I felt like a bacteriophage.
