I love how the game blends cuteness 🐰 with creepiness πŸ‘», the dialogue is terrifying!! 😱 (it really gave me Undertale vibes). The difficulty curve is well-balanced, and it's really satisfying to kill a bunny πŸ‡, the death animations are GREAT! While the gameplay isn’t the most fun, it's still fun enough. I wish I could take out two bunnies with one shot if they’re close together πŸ”«πŸ‡πŸ‡ (though I admit I’m not 100% sure if I can't lol). I’d also like a bit more variety in the bunnies and more details in the background 🌲. But overall, it's a great Compo entry! Well done! πŸŽ‰

Lmao, I loved the intro and the vibes of the game. The ending was great as well. I can't really go into too much detail because I want people to experience it for themselves, but man, great stuff. Visuals, sound, and feedback was top-notch as well. I liked how it got more frantic as time went on, with the music increasing in speed and everything. Wonderful game, extremely memorable. Really enjoyed this one, great job!

Oh well, this game made me smile and wake up a bit after feeling a bit tired and energize :) I love the cute setting in which you need to brutally kill criters. The gunshot felt so brutal by moving those rabbits far with the huge amount of blood. Also it was a nice game balance thing so you need to collect in bags when there are times you can concentrate on those. Anyway super little game, I really enjoyed it!

The game is really polished and was pretty fun! I was so sad I had to kill the cute rabbits though! :(

You're my first play this LD, and I hope the rest will be this good too! :) The theme change caught me off guard, it was really funny! :) Though the aiming felt a bit off. I don't know what made me feel like that, but it was hard for me to aim. Or maybe I'm just used to bigger hitboxes, dunno. :D

After 30 seconds I felt a bit lost because I didn't know whether I should let a bunny escape or bag one on the ground because they both objectives were present all the time. But I prioritized not letting them escape, because I think the text said so. (I guessed that there will be a highscore in the end). :D Sadly, there wasn't, so after 2 plays I didn't have much incentive to play it again.

But other than these minor flaws, the game was really enjoyable and very well polished! :) The introductionary text and animation was also really nice! Keep it up, cheers!

Really like the surprise. Loved the graphics. Great entry

Really smooth, funny/unexpected. Really challenging too - I think you're always meant to lose at least a few at the end - hard to tell whether it's better to catch more or keep more from escaping!

sdcorpse 2024-10-10 11:31

Very cite funny game. but where to check how many points i got?

itsaina 2024-10-10 12:40

@sdcorpse You can't, I'm sorry :c I actually had a whole weighted scoring system that would take the amount killed, caught, and escaped into consideration, but I ended more focused on trying to make the game "f'd up" and had no time at the end. In fact, the post-game stuff (the end dialogue and credits) were made in what... the last 15 minutes before submissions were over? lol

frogravity 2024-10-11 14:55

Despite the huge trigger warning at the start of the page, I did not see that coming! The intro was incredibly well-made though - the sounds, timings, graphics, everything! The interpretation of "catching" them in body bags was hilarious. And of course, the contrast of between the cute graphics and the bloody content is excellent.

The game itself was also nice - all the effects and sounds here (especially the music slowly speeding up) were great. I also liked having to balancing between shooting escaping critters and catching the dead ones. However, it did feel like 3 minutes was a bit long - by the end it grew a bit repetitive.

I also tried going for a pacifist ending afterwards, and was pleasantly surprised you made one. I still got accepted to the company somehow though :) I later checked out the source code and saw that you created 5 different ones, which is pretty awesome! Overall, really enjoyed this, great entry!

itsaina 2024-10-11 19:51

@frogman Thank you! I was actually going to make a different ending for the "pacifist" (where you wouldn't get in the company and other stuff), but I really underestimated how quickly I can get things done. Hopefully I'll eventually get to actually expanding this game into a slightly longer experience with more than this 3 minute gameplay and make all the endings I wanted.

googoobachoo 2024-10-12 14:49

Hahaha, that moment when the bunny exploded. Well done.

joniv 2024-10-13 08:49

That intro was something else :D I didn't see that coming at all. The game had quite a disturbing vibe with the cheerful music playing in the background while I'm brutally killing the critters to go for a high score. Although I felt bad for the bunnies, I have to admit blowing them up was a lot of fun. Great job!

silkworm-sweatshop 2024-10-16 17:55

Simple idea, great execution! Very polished all around. Music speeding up was a nice touch. Pretty humerous dialogue so not sure why you opted out .

itsaina 2024-10-17 18:49

@silkworm-sweatshop Thank you! Honestly, I didn't think people would find humor in the dialogue, that's why i opted out lol.

henk 2024-10-19 18:16

I liked it a lot. The dialogue and reveal reminded me a lot of Daniel Mullins' stuff. The content warning in the game description ruined the surprise for me, sadly, but the execution (so to speak) was still pretty fantastic.

I played the Linux version on Ubuntu 20.04, and managed to crash the game somehow near the end of my second attempt (I was spam-clicking pretty rapidly, so I don't know if that was related): ``` Godot Engine v4.3.stable.official.77dcf97d8 - https://godotengine.org MESA-INTEL: warning: Performance support disabled, consider sysctl dev.i915.perf_stream_paranoid=0

My nephew is making this even funnier "You're not supposed to be kill the rabbits. They're supposed to stay alive."

I personally found the gap between the cuteness of the art and the violence funny.

deadroach 2024-10-21 00:50

Loved it! Really cool stuff. Mine crashed at the end I'm not sure if that was intentional but I liked it!

itsaina 2024-10-21 02:55

@deadroach Thank you! Was the crash on windows or linux? I wonder if it's the same issue @henk had.
