Blobbies by tuism 2024-10-07T12:02:18Z

Fun and satisfying, don't let the vibe trick you, the pressure is on!

Pollinator's Path by voidraizer 2024-10-12T10:59:37Z

Really fantastic little mechanic and game!

Feels like there is a lot more you could do with the idea, and I would love to see a version with some additional mechanics.

I think having enemy behavior be more predictable would go a long way solidifying sortof the basic strategy and playability of the game.

Great job!!

Ducks on the Road by designernap 2024-10-10T09:24:22Z

Very sad moment for me when little duck #3 went down the sewer drain

Really nice entry, love the graphics and audio, and it controls really well.

One bit of feedback though is that once I got the hang of the win condition it felt almost trivial to execute each level, and the abundance of food was like a cheatcode - get duck #3 out of danger, collect batches of ducks together with food drops, wheel in mom, see ya later!

Burning Bells - Lilleborg 1259 by xand 2024-10-12T12:09:14Z

Really nice aesthetic and complete package! Really great use of sound with the cutscenes as well. The controls worked well mostly and the combat was functional but left me wanting a little:

Attacks were missing some impact to me, and some of the enemy hitboxes seemed off or unintuitive.

For the hopping enemies some clearer indication where they may land I think would feel more fair.

For the final encounter, it was both overwhelming and had no stakes - tons of stuff flying around the screen and at me, but I could more or less stand still and attack until it was over.

Nice entry all around!

Yeet them all ! by zoglu 2024-10-12T11:34:36Z

Really great entry and complete package!

Super satisfying use of sound particularly with the shot bounces and end of level ranking.

Love to see an actual fleshed out scoring system as well.

Sometimes it was a little unclear what was happening, e.g. when enemies were hitting your non-fired critters, just a lot of sounds and stuff firing off at once.

Awesome job!

RiboJam by Wispeh 2024-10-10T08:50:31Z

Nice effort! Making a rhythm game in 48 hours is a tall order.

Some bits of feedback: - Make feedback to the player more clear - i.e. it should be obvious when I've successfully made an input vs missed one - 1234 doesn't *mentally* map that well to the RBGY blobs, I could see it being helpful to maybe have overlaid the numbers on each one or maybe at the end of each track

Kokins by ladybenko 2024-10-10T08:43:01Z

Really cool little game and fun idea.

Echoing some other feedback that it would be great to have varied mini games per action.

Art and aesthetic overall is perfect.

Great work!

INFESTED by wisstopher 2024-10-10T08:36:27Z

I really enjoyed this, and the almost puzzle-like approach to survival horror. Really nice use of theme and great vibe overall.

I think it could actually have been made a little harder though, as I didn't feel like I was ever actually in any danger.

After making the antidote I went back and started healing people before realizing they turn right back and my efforts were in vain

Those Darn Nanobot AI Will Be The End of Us All by mrspeaker 2024-10-09T08:05:53Z

Character art is off the charts!!!

I had fun with the game too, definitely ramps up in difficulty quickly though!

It would be cool to have some additional limited kind of 'oh shit' button that maybe clears all enemies. Could also see additional enemies that have different mechanics - maybe needing to be hit multiple times but have an additional benefit when you destroy them like blowing up other enemies.

Easier said than done (especially in jam context) but if the rest of the artwork was in the style of the character's it would look super cool.

Nice job!

Tinyzilla by Bernhard 2024-10-12T10:47:14Z

Fun little game! Would love to see a version with some more fleshed out mechanics like finer grained control or maybe enemies with different behaviors that require alternative strategies

Shrew by LightningST 2024-10-10T09:42:20Z

Really great entry and impressive for a compo game!

Really nice and complete aesthetically, and I loved the audio for each creature and all the creature facts!!!!

My main bit of feedback would be around the visibility mechanic - I think it adds really nicely to the cave vibe but something about it - maybe non-visible areas being the same color as the background - made me feel sortof disoriented. I think it would maybe be nicer if it were such that you could still visually track the structure of the cave, while hiding the contents of non-visible areas from view.

Petri Wars by ConradoClark 2024-10-07T12:43:26Z

Really fun and cool idea, loved working out the different strategies with optimal placements of the different structures and so on, vibe is pretty dead on too.

Would love to see the ability to select and 'paint' a single structure over and over rather than clicking back and forth.

ROLL! by Srynetix 2024-10-07T13:21:13Z

Fun idea, but I really struggled with the controls and felt like the camera would be focused in weird spots sometimes. Huge props for Customize screen

Last Rollbug by Tad I Guess 2024-10-12T11:43:19Z

Good job on the sound and graphics!

I'm not sure I ever got the hang of the wall-sticking controls but I was able to get through everything maybe 'abusing' the ability to bounce yourself off of different surfaces, or sometimes I was able to just tap W repeatedly and float through the air more or less.

In general I think the controls could stand to be made a bit cleaner and more responsive.

Was not ready for the escort mission!

Bogbog Box: The Livestream ▶️ by rascar_capac 2024-10-07T12:19:21Z

Interesting idea, love to manage little critters broadly speaking. I think there is some good potential with the idea if the feedback around what the parameters were changing, their effects, and stakes if any was a bit clearer

Field Trip by InitialPosition 2024-10-07T12:13:47Z

I had fun after the 5 minutes I took to figure out my character was the sparkling swarm of flies and not the bird :face_palm:

Feels like there's good potential here to add additional mechanics as well.

I would like to see a version where the bird moves occur sortof as yours occur instead of waiting, I want to go fast!

Immune Invasion by goldenXD 2024-10-10T10:17:51Z

I had fun! Once I (kindof) figured out the mutation mechanic it was cool to try out the different abilities.

A couple bits of feedback:

- It wasn't clear to me if there was more to the mutation mechanic besides just generally lining up the bars, do the colors mean anything? Some additional player feedback there would be helpful. - It also wasn't clear to me at first that if I had a mutation, I wouldn't be able to get another until it was gone and I wasted a few because of that  - Lastly I would test changing the shooting enemy bullets to be one hit and done - it seemed like if a bullet stayed on top of me it would damage continually which wasn't intuitive and also hard to track in more hectic moments

Nice work overall!

PogoCombo by Mavvy 2024-10-12T11:18:57Z

I love any game where you CHAIN!!!!

In seriousness this is one of my favorite entries so far!

The core mechanic is simple yet has a lot of play to it, and it's really fun to maximize your CHAIN.

For constructive feedback: - I wish the jump input was a little snappier or more forgiving on the timing maybe? Just wouldn't come out when I expected it to sometimes - Push the pace and difficulty!! Sometimes could get a little boring waiting for my next obstacle.

A fleshed out version with some additional obstacles and structured levels would be :fire: :fire: :fire:

Really great job!

BOILERMEN by diabolical-sloth 2024-10-07T13:12:30Z

Brilliant stuff, made me actually laugh out loud. Well done!

Astral Plunge by Adam Gallina 2024-10-12T11:07:10Z

The little squid sticking to my windshield was a delightful surprise, I love that as a way to represent your ship damage!

Subpixeana by gdman 2024-10-09T07:58:36Z

Can't say I totally understood what was going on, but there is definitely a vibe here

Eater Scrutiny by knexator 2024-10-12T13:55:18Z

I love scrutinizing ants!!

Really liked how much breadth you got out of an otherwise simple mechanic with the different behaviors in each level.

A real gem for anteater fans everywhere!

Bugsies by sbackman 2024-10-07T14:21:50Z

Fun concept and nice vibe. I struggled with the commanding controls a bit but the ending 'puzzle' was fun nonetheless.

GELATINOUS INVADER SIMULATOR by Fint 2024-10-07T13:42:28Z

@tuism Thanks so much for the feedback!

Re: high score - there is a win condition currently, you just kindof need to be cracked + have some good variance to get there

Re: Bomber - try right click!!

GELATINOUS INVADER SIMULATOR by Fint 2024-10-07T14:24:10Z

@tuism Just 3 blobs, sounds like a bug!

GELATINOUS INVADER SIMULATOR by Fint 2024-10-08T18:13:04Z

@dashvirus thanks for the detailed writeup and feedback, I’m glad some of the strategies translated / were discovered naturally :grinning:

Blob stomp by Noobman64 2024-10-12T10:50:08Z

My blob game :handshake: Your blob game

I felt sad for the little blobs until their intentions were revealed....

Olives with legs by tete 2024-10-12T11:27:43Z

Satisfying little game! Really liked the breadth of mechanics, graphics, and sound.

Would love to see a version with a little more stakes and really putting some of the different mechanics together

Tiny Legion by Pedryx 2024-10-07T13:39:47Z

Love the concept and think there could be a lot to dig into, but I think it would be helped a lot by better feedback to the player on what's working and what isn't. Not only is there a lot of text to read, but it's not entirely clear what the various stats and properties do.

I _did_ like exploring trying to build the combinations that I thought _might_ be more effective

Bombing for Apples - Play Online! by Tuna Diver 2024-10-10T09:53:02Z

Really well done, 5/5 AUDACITY rating for online multiplayer!

Love the little mouse men and bombing that nasty snake!! I liked figuring out how the classic Snake mechanics can be exploited strategically as well.

One bit of constructive feedback would be that the zoom tiles maybe zoom TOO fast.

Great job y'all!

Bermuda by stmate03 2024-10-12T11:54:49Z

TOP tier jam game tutorial

Cool idea and bold for a 48 hour jam, a more fleshed out version (e.g. more depth in caring for the creature, etc) could be really cool.

I got into a state where the machine wouldn't allow me to change the color of the light and I had to restart. Not sure if it was a bug or what.

+1 on subtitles requests.

Nice job!

NebuLeet Troopers by quasilyte 2024-10-09T07:55:39Z

I had a lot of fun and think there are definitely some interesting ideas going on here - and the loop of building your team, choosing tactics, deploying, and fighting potentially has a lot to dig into.

I will echo some of the other comments that better feedback about the impact of choices the player is making would be helpful. I think the unpredictable nature of the card selection is cool but also can be a feelbad moment if you get into an awkward spot with your selections. Additionally it was not totally clear to me _how_ the tactics cards were actually applied - order, timing, etc.

Great job overall!

Electronic Egg, You by CYT 2024-10-07T13:22:38Z

Loving the look of this, any chance for a Windows build?

Flea or Flee Arcade by Martingonn 2024-10-12T10:41:34Z

Echoing some of the feedback on awkward hitboxes - seems like I will be in a totally safe area as a flea passes me, I'll suddenly have Lives go to -1 from 3, and the game exits

Butterjar by Zz1p 2024-10-07T13:03:32Z

Everything works really well here, from the visuals to the sfx and music, and a fun puzzler to boot! The second or third fire butterfly level was really clever. Great job!

The Scrimbly Bimblies by SMoore 2024-10-10T09:11:07Z

Fun little game! Nice moment figuring out you can just sortof punt them from the top platform, but if it gets totally covered it can be difficult to interact with at all. I would also look into trying something like one-way platforms to make the movement a little more permissive, like you can jump or get knocked through the bottom of a platform and land on the top.

Daredevil Ant by unloosed 2024-10-12T11:46:53Z

I really like the core idea of playing "Chicken" to increase your score!

My main bit of feedback would be around the hitboxes - it feels like I will die even if a raindrop isn't quite hitting me some of the time.

Changeling by library-rat 2024-10-10T09:32:15Z

I really like the main mechanic and theme application!

I think the pacing could be smoothed out a bit more as I felt like I was drowning in debt almost immediately! Also a little bit of feedback around _which_ coin your character will grab when nearby would go a long way.

Beanel by Mithka 2024-10-07T13:31:16Z

My game about getting huge :handshake: Your game about getting huge

Had a lot of fun, one bit of feedback would be to maybe try killing the momentum on player movement

Particle Wars by NickHellquist 2024-10-10T09:03:24Z

Nice job - pretty complete entry and a lot of mechanics / systems for a comp game!

My main feedback would be to smooth out the pacing a bit and re-balance some of the drops - e.g. it takes way too much to kill enemies early on to the point of being almost boring, and the movement speed upgrade gives you a ton (too much) of safety for the rest of the game. Additionally it seems like the enemies are physics-simulated, which causes them to bounce off each-other in unpredictable ways sometimes, and I think for this type of game it's better if enemies have more predictable / adaptable behavior
