Got S Rank first try! :v:

Glad to see someone else with the idea of using cellular level life with this theme. It was a fun twist to be on the "evil" side of the equation this time though!

The artwork is simple but well done - it looks really good and is clear to read!

I'm unsure how the mutations worked - lining them up awarded a mutation but do the colors mean anything? Was I supposed to lineup specific colors somehow? I only made sure to line them up. Good variation in the powerups, I think I got 4 different ones - nice variation in such a short time span.

Great work overall, had a good time with it until I died! Keep up the good work!

I like the additions you made to the classic twin stick. The shooting is fairly simple, but the cells and mutations add some structure to it. The difficulty ramps up quite quicker than I would have expected, I think the other aspects would have had more time to shine if it ramped up slower. That said, ramping up too quick is definitely better than too slow. Overall good work!

I didn't understand the mutation mechanic, though there were a lot of powerups you could get. The invisible one was pretty disorienting but the rest were pretty good!

Overall, pretty fun. I got B rank on my run but then realized I probably was supposed to go into the red area I thought was a wall.

I don't think you could get any smaller than being a virus! I think I understood the mutation to be some sort of pattern matching? However, one time it just ended abruptly and I'm not sure if it timed out or I just did something wrong. You did a good job with the sound effects and the visuals. I bet this looks super nice on an OLED monitor. Nice job!

Although I couldn't figure out how that dna pattern works, I found the graphics and controls nice. It was a fun game, although after a while those blue cells murdered me easily! Still a cool game!

Add some nice music, and it would be even better.

Bloom, particles, feedbacks. The perfect combo to make an easy good looking game. It works well, especially with the theme you picked. The controller is cool, and the shoot feeling too. The DNA mini game to get a bonus is actually well found. It's true that the fact that we don't care about the colors can be weird at first, but then I got it. I would have loved to have definitive bonuses that get upgraded (instead of temporary) because, as it's quite difficult to get to green spots, if you can't find any, and you have no more time with your bonus, you can't escape the enemies and it can be frustrating. An other solution would have been to allow mutation while having a bonus.

Other than that I have nothing to say, I had fun with your game ;) Good job !

Great job! 🎮 The game is fun with interesting mutation mechanics. The graphics are simple but stylish and convey the atmosphere well. I liked the choice of bonuses, which give more variety, although it would be great if they were permanent. The DNA mechanics with flowers are a bit difficult to understand, but you get used to it over time. Adding music would make the game even better! Great idea, great execution! 👏

Great game! Reminds me of agario. The theming was nice and I liked the DNA sequence alignment thing to mutate. Love the overall visuals. Maybe needs a little balancing as when starting it was very simple and then a huge crowd of enemies started chasing me and I felt overwhelmed. A good job overall!

Fun concept! Enjoyed the challenge of mutating and infecting new areas. The vibrant colors worked well with the simple graphics. Minor feedback: the game appeared a bit cropped on retina displays. Gj!

Vary interesting mutation mechanic!

I had fun! Once I (kindof) figured out the mutation mechanic it was cool to try out the different abilities.

A couple bits of feedback:

- It wasn't clear to me if there was more to the mutation mechanic besides just generally lining up the bars, do the colors mean anything? Some additional player feedback there would be helpful. - It also wasn't clear to me at first that if I had a mutation, I wouldn't be able to get another until it was gone and I wasted a few because of that  - Lastly I would test changing the shooting enemy bullets to be one hit and done - it seemed like if a bullet stayed on top of me it would damage continually which wasn't intuitive and also hard to track in more hectic moments

Nice work overall!

It's a really cool game! I really like the art and sound effects. Additionally, it's also fun to shoot a series of bullets and face off against immune cells while dodging their attacks. However, I don't know why, but when I fail to mutate and try again, a mini-game appears, but pressing 'M' doesn't seem to have any effect. But Anyway, it is a Great job!

Definitely fun game. Wish for the next iteration ... Space or E instead of M for Mutate. Sounds (amplitude) I didn't quite get what 'align' means exactly, maybe that could be explained in more detail. Definitely want to come back to it.

miku 2024-10-11 05:26

I didn't understand the Mutate well, but it was awesome when I was able to get it off and go stealthy. I got super swarmed though after my buff wore off? I definitely could have used a bit more tutoralization in it to get it, because I immediately felt a challenge spike (so many mobs started appearing at once!). Overall though, this was a great interpretation to the theme and I could see the parts that could be really addicting for a player.

This game is defenitely fun! For me, mutation means to perfectly align by colours the DNA strands, but after some tries, I figured out that you have just to positionally align them. Also, pressing the "M" key instead of Spacebar or just a UI button. The graphics are simple, but I think that it fits better than other designs. Overall, nice mechanism and good usage of the theme. Congratulation!
