To be honest, I'd appreciate a tutorial or an explanation how to play this game. But the artstyle and audio are fantastic!

Great looking and sounding game! The punches land in a very satisfying way! :right_facing_fist:

I really like the art style but it is verry missing some explanations on how the game works and what are the percentages shown on the parts.

Great game! I love the visuals. Everything looks top notch. I especially liked the UI to select the body parts to attack.

nevercontent 2024-10-08 19:19

I don't see the point of choosing the different attacks, but who cares when it looks and sounds this good. :D

I wasn't sure what the stats meant and what disabling each enemy part does exactly (which part corresponds to which attack) but when these issues get improved, I think this could be a great fighting system. :) Also, I loved the animations and art! The theater vibe was also nice. It would be nice to be able to see the enemy's parts and their status while you are still selecting your attack. It's pretty cool how the parts can fall off when damaged too much. Good job! :)

There is SO much to love about this game. Even though you call it a tech demo, I feel like it contains the perfect scope and scale for a jam entry.

First off, the artwork is so charming and well implemented. The patchwork stitching of the characters, and the little toy theater, make this feel like some child's cruel stage for a game. And the music is very whimsical and adds a nice touch.

The stats of the attacks were a lot to take in, but it just required some study and experimentation. I loved the mechanic of immediate reward for attacking a limb: it gets disabled one turn. Likewise, losing the associated attacks (or permanently when a limb was detached) made for great strategy.

The only thing I didn't understand well was missing attacks. It seemed like the chance was pretty high (maybe 20% of my attacks hit?), but it wasn't clear how much I effect my decisions had. I noticed some attacks had accuracy modifiers, but what is my baseline? It seemed a little low, to be honest. If you made hits more likely to hit, the fight might be over more quickly, but I would find that more satisfying.

Anyway, I am blown away. Instant favorite, and I would love to see more!

Cute art, music and sfx. however, everything is super confusing that i wasn't really getting why and how to play the game. why are there only slap and touch buttons? what are they for? which one is the player's character? why do we need to pick a body part? what do the percentages stand for? i can see so much potential from it though, only if you can refine on the UXUI part. Keep it up!

The animations and music are awesome!

The combat itself i think it's a bit too complicated for my taste. I played a few matches and i didn't feel like I was developing a strategy aside from hitting with whatever has most hit %.

That said, I think there's a lot of potential, the animations and parts of the enemies falling look awesome!

Keep up the good work! <3

The artstyle is really cute and I really like the concept for the combat. The fact that you can't use limbs that've been hit or torn off is a nice twist. I played around with a couple of different randomly generated characters and I like the variation. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that most attacks seem to miss, mostly because the chance to hit is very low a lot of the time. Making it so that they can't dodge as well after hitting their legs or making them miss more often after hitting their head would also be a nice addition. Also I found one bug; the text that describes the attack gets cut off.

The idea is very great! I love the idea behind destroying threads of the enemy and getting advantage because of that, it has potential for strategic play. However, strategy is not really applicable here, as the hit probabilities are too low imo. If there were higher probabilities, the fights would be quicker and more rewarding. Now, it is much easier to just hit the body and win. But I noticed that getting rid of the enemy's limbs is so much more fun, so making the probabilities higher sure would help. And the presentation here is phenomenal! Punches (when they land) are satisfying, the modular character sprites are cute and the whole "sock puppet theater" aesthetic is so fun. It is a great and creative submission, good job! It is certainly underrated and needs more ratings!

It's like some kind of childhood unrealized dream of mine: a battle of dolls.

A very nice action movie, finish it a little and you can take more into projects. A wonderful prototype of mechanics.

Attracted by the visual style))

03gramat 2024-10-10 10:16

Really great idea, I enjoyed the ability to choose different parts to attack

lizz 2024-10-10 19:05

The concept is simple, I sadly lost attention quick with the game when I missed ten times an attack in a row. Maybe because I am tired. Either way, the art was very nice, the sounds were fitting and this take on the theme with the options was fun to see!

prismapunch 2024-10-11 03:15

The visuals are very cohesive, love the stage and puppet look. It took a minute to understand what was what but was cool to figure out. Great work!

zastegnushka 2024-10-11 08:47

a good actions, a very cute style and an ass, it was interesting for me to play, as not a fan of fighting games

turturi 2024-10-11 16:27

The art is fantastic and I loved the getting hurt sfx. It was nice that different types of arms result in different attack options. The only downside is that you needed to hit with the attack and choose the body part with the highest percentage to really hit the opponent. It just seems like the best tactic, and because of it the gameplay feels repetitive. And the general idea of the game mechanic is really interesting. I think it is just game balance issue.

samuli 2024-10-12 13:06

Really nice presentation and UI. Gameplay itself didn't feel very satisfying as I just kept missing most of my attacks.

sasha20 2024-10-13 21:21

This game is both intellectually engaging and visually striking. God Job!

aboogoost 2024-10-14 19:57

Very nice game! I think it could be a fun concept but it was really difficult to understand the battle mechanics. It also seemed like the battle progressed slowly but I suspect that's just because I didn't understand the mechanics.

pimping 2024-10-23 21:48

Great game, nice matching with theme, keep going
