I would have liked to see power ups and more animations. The game played well enough with the control options, and the difficulty definitely got more hard with the other options.

Very basic gameplay. It was a nice stroll, but I don't believe I was scoring points or achieving a goal. Will there be a goal in a future version?
Great detail in characters and parallax background! Also unlocking basic controls as the game continues is a great nod to metroidvania games.
Very fun to manage my space and grow an empire over time. Great idea adding a "speed up" button. When night time would roll around, it would be difficult to tell between the different icons. Maybe unique colors and lights in the windows at night could distinguish them better. I found myself "Running out of Space", but after getting the most-efficient arrangement I felt I'd already won the game and didn't feel a need to continue. If you were to continue the game after the Compo, you should consider adding other planets to continue building on.
Lots of elements to memorize. The core concept is interesting, but might take a while to grasp unless each element was introduced separately. Would like to see what the game could become if graphics were added!
I'm not very good at these kinds of games, but I really appreciate the art and animation and the magic system. Great sense of humor in the storyline. Really felt like a parody of Final Fantasy. Great hair, too~
The music helped with the atmosphere of making you think about the puzzles. The sound effects were a bit too loud. I wasn't prepared for the puzzle challenge to ramp up at a certain stage, so there was a part I couldn't get past. Overall great game!
Very impressed with this entry! I had a terrific time playing this game, and even more as I learned how the "tetris" mechanic worked. Very wide variety of guns for such a short time. The graphics were basic and the sound was not included, but the innovation and "game feel" more than made up for those shortcomings. Looking forward to you continuing to work on this game!
Definitely preferred Pain mode. I think that should be the default. The power ups were fun to experience and necessary sometimes when the space would be too full. More power ups would have been exciting to play with, and perhaps an ultimate click or auto-click that could be used after x-amount of blocks were destroyed.
Very laggy, and controls were a bit loose. Fighting with the placements: when I think I should be able to place a house or park it is obscured by an invisible force. Also parks are clipping through the ground. Would like to try again and update my score if there was a less-laggy version.
Fun particle effects and background! The "quick fall" mechanic and "dash" mechanic add a lot to the Dinosaur Runner game from broken Google Chrome pages. Power ups were spawning inside obstacles pretty frequently for me, you could try a detection system so that they don't overlap. Great game!
Bullets have a nice speed to them: not too slow. I'd like to see an ammo count to manage how many bullets I can spam before needing an ammo drop. Also maybe adjust the pitch of the sound effects so they change by a random amount each time they're played, that will help with repetitiveness when pressing the jump and shoot buttons repeatedly.
The first half could use a bit more work, as well as the second and third halves. I found it to be a bit lackluster compared to your other works. I would recommend to put more time into your future submissions, unless there's an updated version with a bit more content. Best of luck!
Very good VFX, and very smooth gameplay! Loved the shop system, felt very polished!
Very good aesthetics! Very glowy~ Fits the theme surprisingly well. Would like to see different kinds of power ups if the game continues to be worked on.
Full points for originality! The sound effects pitch change is very welcomed, and the bombs add a unique twist to an already original concept. The graphics were pretty simple, but you realized this.
@chaitae Glad you found some enjoyment in it!
@paden-shorey gotta get points to get the high score, and the speed ramps up over time so it'll get harder to maintain your combo if you focus on tootin'
@kippllo @chipolux I originally had even more buttons (B to "toot"). Good suggestions, I'll look into "ease of access" for future projects. Even to me I felt like I was playing "finger Twister" sometimes while testing. Good feedback!
Enjoyed the puzzles of the game: needing to wait until walls and blocks are removed before continuing on. The music got a bit repetitive. The controls were a bit clunky, but got the job done. Loved the humor and sarcasm of the text boxes. Would like to see compound goals and power ups if this game were to be continued!
Enjoyed the novelty of the game and being able to time the hits to attack my enemies. Music was a bit repetitive and could use another measure or two to keep it interesting. Graphics were a bit lacking, but there was enough movement on screen to keep me engaged.
Good attention to detail with the backgrounds and art style. Simple game, but very fair mechanics and warning systems. Every death felt deserved, good balance!
@jofersgames Thanks Jofers! I'm glad you liked the graphics <3 The background designs were inspired by Chao Garden and Mario Galaxy~
A good, classic tower defense game! It has a neat twist that goes well with the theme of this Jam. The buttons were a bit difficult to use, I wouldn't mind if the game didn't pause while buying. After around Wave 3, there's an intense difficulty spike which requires perfect timing and placement, which is hindered by the UI navigation. Overall, great first attempt at a Jam! Looking forward to seeing more from you next Jam as well~
The controls are very good! It really felt like air hockey. And I liked feeding the coins to the jukebox~ Graphics were a bit simple, but the gameplay made up for it! Physics-based games are always so fun!
Great take on Madoka! The chicken friend was a cute touch, and his celebrating even when the magical girls were dying was terrifying and hilarious~ xD The pact system was a tiny bit confusing, and by using multiple pacts in the same turn I was able to reduce the difficulty significantly. Was that intended? Overall had a great theme and humor!
Great puzzles and great mechanic! A bit more fluid animation and background elements would have helped a lot~
Great backgrounds and character models! The dungeons were fun to explore. The lighting in several areas was too dark, but the ice and fire effects were stunning! The default particles showing the end took me out of the experience a bit, and the lack of A/S/D movement nearly killed me when I ran into the enemies. The graphics might have been too good for HTML5, since I would begin to lag and freeze in larger rooms. Overall great graphics! Would love to try this game again if the controls were cleaned up!
