This game is incredible! Best I've played so far. Art is gorgeous, and the mood is great and well complemented by the music. Loved the screen shake effects for when you kill an enemy. Only problems I have is that the attacking sound effects felt quite weak. If they were better, the game would feel and play even more amazing then it already does. Excellent work!

Looks really nice. I would love to see a few more attacks or enemies in a post jam version.

Visual look pretty. I had a problem with the management, I did not understand how to hit the enemy. The hero often missed , because of what I was losing lives. But later I figured out and acted in Dark Souls mechanics. I would like to increase the area of impact.
Really nice looking game and fun to play!
Really fun game! One question though: how do you see how many lives/HP you have?
@mateusboga Thanks :) ! The hp you have are represented by red globes which rotates arround your player :)

Mac/Web?
Cool graphics, gameplay feels a bit stiff when you attack since it blocks your character and since the camera doesn't lerp to it it stops right away. I also feel like the bonuses from the crystal should be time depending as I could buy 5 or 10 blocks when starting and the terrain had only lost 2 or 3 blocks. Other than that it's a pretty cool game with nice aesthetics !
@tuism Unfortunatly no, I'll try to do a Mac version today. I'll keep you update :)
@constantin Thanks for your feedback, the player do a little dash when attacking :) For the bonuses, it's a really good note, thanks, we will try to do this in the future :)

Awesome entry! It was very fun to play and the mood was great. Visually it looks stunning. The visual effects are great. Sound effects could use a little work, though. Just a little. The controls were a bit stiff for me. Also, the crystal upgrades disappeared sometimes before I could select them (I don't know if this was intentional or not).
But anyways it was a great experience. Very well executed concept and well made game. Excellent work!

I realy liked the environment and visual effect. The lightning was a very nice touch. The gameplay is simple, but yet the game get hard, which is great. I missed more information on the stuff you could buy and some feedback when you tired to buy something you don't have enough for.
If you are going to keep working on this game I would add more level layouts, attack types and monsters.
@zenris Thanks for the feedback. For crystal, we didn't had time to develop feedback for not having enough gold we encountered the problem too late ^^
@fingamer Thanks for your feedback ! for crystal, it's intentional, they have a time to live to force player playing fast, and maybe fall ^^

Really liked the game! great answer to the theme, i wouls have liked a jump to avoid pits and trick the ai into it! great job overall!
@tuism Glad to announce you the mac version is available :stuck_out_tongue:
Truky remarkable graphics! Especially in one weekend. Combat feels responsive ennfluid. Great effort. Also try my game https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/evolucity-build-as-high-as-you-can
UI and Art style looks so cool. Gameplay is a bit repeative, but overall it's great jam game!
@mazzletov Thanks :stuck_out_tongue: I'll try your game (or one of my team ahah) promise ;)
Amazing!

Well finished an well polished (thanks for the AZERTY layout !)
But the music was really low compared to other SFX. And i think i would like other enemy pattern.
Solid entry !
Feel free to check our game ;)
Congrats! Really nice game!
(Thanks for the azerty mode and the macOS version)
Animations and graphics are very cool and art-style is coherent and smooth!
I especially liked the epic music who match the game mood perfectly, so yeah, congrats!
Maybe the sounds are not that great, especially when the character attack, but hey, it's just a detail and for a Jam, it's pretty good!
Just Wow the game is awesome I'm eally impressed the graphics sound animation are really fine (The sound on attack is a bit weird) I really had fun with it maybe with a controller it would have been better. Congrats

A few things:
Great art and effects, but the enemy looks a bit under polished?
Such a cool soundtrack! The SFX could use some improvements though..

Solid! Gorgeous effects, great sounds (a little bit underwhelming but it's not a big issue), great set of mechanics to explore and provide choice with. Generally great!
Thanks for the mac version :)
Minor thing: I think the hitbox on your attacks are not very clear, or not big enough, or not wide enough. Often it really looks like you'd hit but you just don't. It gets quite frustrating. I don't actually like the mouse aiming like this - I would prefer either a second stick type of control where it's not about where you aim the cursor but about the direction of the movement, or just remove the aiming altogether and let the attack happen where you're facing. That would mean the directional movement need to be more responsive, but that's actually a good thing.
Good stuff, congrats :)

2018-08-14 21:12
The hit detection is a bit off. The player would often miss even standing inside of an enemy, as sometimes they would be above him somehow.
I like the polish on the UI and the upgrades you get as the round progresses. There is choice so you have a measure of control on your survival.

This is a great game that is very well polished and looks and plays absolutely amazingly. The visuals drew me in, and the addictiveness kept me going. The only improvements I would say would be to improve the music, make the health remaining more obvious, and that I sometimes glitched when falling through the floor where I got stuck inside of the floor. Otherwise, this is one of the best games I've played yet and I would love to see it be developed more!
By far the best game I have played! clearly a lot of effort was put into it :D
Loved it! Well polished!
Very good game, well polished and smooth to play :) The thunder was a little aggressive which made it so I couldn't hear the music and SFX but oh well. Also liked the randomess of the pickups and how that had a big effect on the playthrough. Overall very good!
Very good VFX, and very smooth gameplay! Loved the shop system, felt very polished!

Wow! Very well done! Graphics, audio and everything is awesome.
I've played several times and once I've being pushed of the cliff without dying (on the north-western edge), so that enemies was spawning but can't get me. It seems like it could be a bug. I've played Linux version

Well done. The graphics and animation looks really nice. The game is fun but as mentioned above, it need some feedback. It is hard to notice if I was hit of not and if I was able to buy something or not. Also a tutorial (even if in the LD page) would be helpful since It took me sometime to notice that the red dots represent health and that the ice crystals are the shops. Also some ambient music would improve the mood a lot. I played it 4 times but I was never able to get past wave 1. It was still really fun and I feel challenged to keep trying again.

Really great game! Loved it.
Visually it's a gorgeous game and pretty polished to a 72 hours game. So congrats on that! I think it attend the proposal of the Ludum Dare and have a potentially addictive mechanic. My main problems were: 1) the overall guidance of how to play the game, there's no place in-game that explain the mechanics; 2) the UI feedback on how much life remaining you got, I couldn't understand if I super good or in the brink of death. But is a awesome idea of an addictive arcade game and a great (and well polished) entry game to this Ludum Dare. Great work!
@edugpinheiro hey thanks for the feedbacks! As you say there is a lack of explanations for life points, in fact they are represented by the red spheres than turns around you :)
Really dig the art style and arcady gameplay :) , maybe an ingame tutorial to explain some stuff that i only understood through trial and error but totally understandable due to the time constraints. good job, very fun

Graphics are amazingly good, its a simple idea well executed. I found the controls to not be as responsive as I wanted to, I think the physics was the thing that made the controls feel weird but that might be just me
amazing visuals for the time that it is made ! as well feels nicely polished, especialy the character controller, that felt amazing !
Nice game, came here from the stream, a very poslished game! 10/5

Good game, FOund the game a bit difficult though. Couldn't get past wave one even though the bar was full. Had fun playing this submission and well done!
A very excellent entry! The graphics and visual design are super tight and appealing - very consistent feel. The gameplay was challenging and fun, rewarding good play. Loved the crystal/shop mechanic, it lends a lot to the pacing of the game and the challenge.
I did run into a little bug (or at least I assume so), where one of the players movement vectors gets stuck and it kept me moving to the right despite not having 'A' held down. Other than - ran pretty smooth in WebGL and was super fun to play. Great job, you all!
Hey the game scores really high for me, the music adds up a lot of mood to it, love everything about it, super super polished - good job!

When i went to the web version on itchio i thought the banner was the game x), got confused for a minute. Thank god you didn't do a movement based on the grid, there is another game that did this, it wasn't as much fun as this one. My only regret after playing it, it's not nervous enough and there is too much upgrades (in quantity). Great graphism (very dramatic intro) for a great entry !
Really lovely graphics and a nice idea. I would say that I had some difficulty with this game mainly due to what seemed to me to be a noticeable delay between pressing the attack button and the animation completing enough to then inflict damage, in which time I appeared to be taking damage myself? Well I'm not sure, because there wasn't really anything letting me know for sure if I was hitting the enemy or being hit myself until either one of us died. I feel like just a bit more tweaking the feel of the controls and bit more feedback for the player on their actions would really turn this into something great. As it stands, it's not a bad game and I can see this being fun.
Really, really nice work on the graphics, from the effects to the UI very nice work. The music as well, very impressive. Character movement felt to me like it could be faster or include some sort of dash option. It took me a couple of plays to nail the aiming of my attacks. Rotating my character was a little slow with a regular mouse, even worse with my mousepad. Maybe an option to auto-target enemies would be cool. Great work, happy LD42!

Awesome game, with a great level of polish !
Pros : - Beautiful graphics and effects - Awesome background music - AZERTY support, and controls in general are crystal-clear - Nice implementation of the theme - Addictive thanks to the card system
Cons : - Lack of audio feedback when hitting an enemy - Waves are a little long - After a while, ennemies spend most of their time falling in the holes
All in all, great game, definitely a favourite.
Very impressive game, the art and audio are fantastic, the gameplay is great and fits the theme. Nice entry !

Neat game, very polished. Cool animations, good graphics and smooth gameplay. To me the biggest con was the sfx (except for the thunder one) being way too quiet. Pretty good overall!
Great fun to play and beautiful graphics, well done. Sadly the HTML version crashed my computer, but downloadable one worked fine.
@jamesolivermusic Oh sorry for that didn't supposed to do that I'll investigate :) Thanks for feedbacks
Thank you all for feedbacks :D
Feedback:
- Itβs easy to play - Good animation - Good idea - Great concept
Very good work
Hey! Feedback from Arjendesign's stream just now: https://www.twitch.tv/arjendesign/ - Presentation/dramatic atmosphere is great! - Got jumpscared by lightning (lol) - Enemies remind him of Monsters Inc. multiple-eye guy - Presentation-wise game is great, but he misses audio feedback (bit more punch) - Timing when you'll attack is interesting! because you move forward when you do, the stage becomes important :D - Adding cubes again is a clever addition!
A really awesome spectacle of a game! Very well done. The combat feels a little hard to control (with the moving forward). Its neat that you could get enemies to drop down as well.

Very professional game. I think y'all should expand on it and make a full game. Waves last a bit too long but otherwise managed to engage me for quite a while. Great Entry :)
Really fantastic entry, you guys nailed the timing elements of gameplay, all of the attacks had the perfect amount of windup, and almost every time I died I felt like it was my fault. I had a weird death to a cube that turned red under me and then immediately fell, but otherwise it felt fair. Great atmosphere!
Wow! That's probably one of the best entries I had seen this Ludum Dare
The visuals are just stunning. Very beautiful particle effects. I also enjoyed the background music.
However, the AI for the enemies definitely could be better. It was very frequent to see an enemy falling through the hole.
When I first played the game I got a bit confused by the controls. I thought that the arrow designates the direction in which the **W key** (or Z) will move the character. Only after some time I realised that they are not related to each other

Amazing game! This is one of the top I've played in this jam. Every elements of the game are nicely polished, the overall game play, the mechanics, the graphics, the sounds effects and musics. It's amazing what was done in just the few days of the jam. The art style is awesome, but the best single element of the game is how the UI is well done.
Great job.
@jonasz999 hi, first thanks for the feedback :)
Concerning the AI, it is intentional. One enemy is dumb and has a chance to fall and the other is intelligent and follow you without falling! We could surely improve this in the future version of the game :)
@amba thanks a lot :) we put a lot of effort in that first game together and it's really nice to receive comments like that π
Fantastic game!
I really love the main character as well as the enemies and how fluid the animations are. The gameplay is addicting and well balanced. Looks like the final product! Good job!
@chloroplaste thanks, we plan to continue developing this game after the jam to add more enemies :)

Very cool game. I like the models made and the fact that it runs really well in the web. Audio is nice especially the thunder effects. Great mood building also.
At times It took me a while to register which way the player was facing. I think it may be due to the fact that the player is all one color. My cursor also faded into the background also. I think I relied on the cursor to point to the enemy so that I can land a hit.
@mza thanks for your feedback π We plan to improve the player by putting white eyes on his face π

Waouuuu, one of the best games I played so far :) You took time to polish it, it's very beautiful !!
This game is beautiful, the graphics are really really polished! The audio is also great and so is everything else. Honestly, there is nothing negative I can say. By far one of the best entries in this jam

Game looks great! However the game-play itself felt a bit disconnected. The animation feedback should be a bit quicker and more "snappy" the slow animation of the hit attack made everything feel sluggish. Game has also serious frame freeze issues in the webGL build when enemies spawn (not present in the offline builds).
Hey, great game guys!
Visuals are very clean, and it's great that you added visual cues for everything that goes on (enemy spawning, crystal spawning, block falling, etc). Gameplay feels nice, and I like the mechanics you've got going on. Audio is also good, it fits! :)
Special commendation for the UI, it really feels professional (are you guys actually professional? :P), and the fact that you can choose between those two keyboard layouts.
I didn't know what to do with the cyrstals at first, I thought I had to hit them and then I could buy upgrades.
On the other hand, the attack animation took a while to get used to. For some reason it seems the visual of it does not completely align with the actual hitbox.
Regarding balancing, I often found myself with not enough money to upgrade the weapon or repair blocks, even though I was killing all the enemies I could (they fall down quite often as well, so you don't get their coins).
There is actually no way for the player to sustain themselves, at some point you just die but you didn't have a chance to play it correctly. Increasing the coin reward / spawning more enemies could alleviate the issue.
You get a high rate from me! Great job! :)

@agar3s @gaming-night @anubhav-kashyap @markd Thanks for your feedback, they will increase our future works
@adultlink Thanls too, we are not professional in game development, 2 of us are student in game design (Alexande) and the other is student in graphics (Thibaud). This game was really cool! I loved having choices with the crystals for spending your money. Very solid gameplay loop. Really stood out graphically too! Well done. Thanks for sharing the game with my stream. Your game starts at around 3:28 into the vod https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297479036
That was an amazing game and a solid entry, well done.
Game is AWESOME!!!!, 5/5 for all. One of the best jam games on this LD!
This is super, really well done. I only wish I could use twin sticks, rather than the mouse to aim - it's hard to keep track of where exactly my mouse is!
great game! the graphics are really good as well as the special fx. the game is simple but pretty challenging. the attack feels a little off in the beginning though but you'll get used to it.
@missalpha @sublustris Thanks a lot :)
@radical-dog support for gamepads will be added in the future as we plan to continue this game, thanks for the suggestion ;)
@martintristan Thanks for the feedback, We will see how to deal with the attack in the future :)
Great game!
Pluses
+ Nice music + Nice graphics. The thunder effect is awesome one + Good concept
Minuses
- Needs a higher difficulty monsters or new ones - Difficult to understand how many HP enemies have - Unbalanced cost of cubes
Found bugs
- The shop dissapears when I try to buy an item with higher cost than your current gold amount - You can buy lifes over the limit - The monsters has no reaction at your attacks. So if I try to attack the monster with 3 HP with 1 damage sword, I take 1 damage guaranteed - The diagonal movement is even faster than vertical and horizontal movement
@hexkritor thanks for your really good feedback :) In response: - For monster difficulty, I agree with you, we will imagine more of those in a near future (+ mini-boss :) ) - enemies HP, we didn't notice, thanks for the feedback, we will see how to make it more obvious - Ok for the cost of cubes, we will see how we can balance that :)
bugs: - for the shop, it's intentional, the only thing missing is a visual/sound feedback to let you know that you can't afford this (lack of time ahah) - For lifes, the limit is 5 ;) - Good point for enemies reaction to attack. We will fix it thanks :) - Thanks for the feedback on diagonal movement, I'll see how to fix it
Thanks a lot for the feedback :)
A solid entry. I can see myself playing it more, in potentia, but there are a few aspects of the experience that didn't click with me:
I find the aiming exceedingly difficult to control. I think there are several reasons for this:
1. There is no in game indication of where the cursor is (I did notice the arrow at the character's feet, but that's not what I mean). The standard pointer cursor blends in with the black and white graphics of the game and I often found myself swinging in the wrong direction.
2. The character's attack animation locks you in a direction. You need to wait until the end of the animation to rotate. I see why the devs did this, logically, but it may be a good idea to experiment with allowing the player to move and rotate the root bone irrespective of animation status.
3. Sometimes enemies spawn on the protagonist's head and they seem to want to stay there. The camera angle makes this difficult to notice, so the player finds himself swinging the sword pointlessly several times before he realises the situation.
4. The most deaths I experience were not from falling to my death, but rather being hit by enemies, because I wasn't swinging my sword their way, but rather the opposite way.
Conclusion about controls issues:
It seems to me that this game would benefit from a completely different approach to controls. At the moment it's setup as a twin stick shooter, however, in the game one never shoots anything. Perhaps a more Diablo-esque approach to the combat may have been more empowering for the player. Another option could have been an auto-targeting system based on proximity? Take these suggestions with a pinch of salt, of course, as they would entail redesign of the spawning system and who knows what else. The bottom line is I didn't enjoy the controls as a user, and that puts me off of the game forever, and you don't want that as a dev, and I don't want that as I player. :)
I also have a bit of feedback about the audio. The music seemed quite dramatic, enticing, and overall fitting of the setting, however, during gameplay it was really quiet for me. Perhaps its overall volume is set too low in the mix? I'm no expert, but the music felt faint while playing, and the lack of other in game SFX was much more evident because of this for me.
I really liked the purchasing system for repairs. There are a few problems, like less than clear UX for when you don't have enough money and seemingly pointless upgrades, like ATK+, but the repairing of blocks made me feel in control of the space running out situation.
Good work guys.

Pretty well done, good job guys! But control is a bit "difficult" :/
@dcrdro Thanks for the feedback ! Yes, we have to do a work around player controls :)
Nicely done arena survival game. It gets a little bit boring after a while, but more enemy variety and some special abilities would fix this problem for sure. Sounds were nicely made, but sound levels should be adjusted because every lightning strike was deafening.
Really nice and very polished game! Art is amazing, as well as the audio! Game also fits the theme nice! I like all the particles, but sometimes they make game a little bit too chaotic. Other than that, everything else is great! Keep up the good work!
well polished game. it shows good features. just need more variety in the ennemies but you its already a great release for the jam.
One thing i noticed, first time you play, its not clear you have to chose the bonus pressing a key since the panel has the same sprite as the controls button you have to CLICK before the game start. But it is no big deal at all
Hey @annie-owl @stefan-jovanovic @tontonpizza Thank you all for feedbacks :)
@tontonpizza @annie-owl More enemies are planned but not yet implemented in the game (maybe in a post-post-jam version ahah), we plan to integrate mini boss too. Cool game. Lots of fun to play. The collision detection is a bit messed up (I think?). I could move over the missing squares and also jump into the background area.
Otherwise I like the animation and the special effects. Super fun survival game.
@meatpudding Thanks for feedback :) ! I'll have a look at collisions so ^^
Really cool game, the art is great! Everything about this game is great.

Really nice! Great graphics and music, well done!
And excellent little arena game. It took me a while to understand the upgrades and their cost. I picked +1 life, but nothing happened. Now I understand I probably didn't have enough money, but there is no feedback that indicates a failed purchase. On occasion I thought I was swinging my blade towards an enemy but nothing happened. I am not sure if there was a bug, or some visual perspective thing leading my to swing in the wrong direction.
In general, the game is *very* polished. The 3D art and animations are outstanding, I love the visual effects. I just wish it wasn't so grey... so very, very grey.
Excellent music, but very serious-sounding compared to the more cute-looking graphics. Where you could have made a big improvement (also to fix my issues with the UI) is in the sound effects; they feel like they're missing, except for the sword swipe and two damage/impact sounds? Off the top of my head, it's missing: * Footsteps * Successful purchase * Failed purchase * Blocks dropping * Blocks getting replaced * Damage feedback * Kill feedback * Monster spawning * Crystal spawning * Coin pickup * New wave announcement * Game over
When the game is this polished, the lack of sound effects stands out more I suppose. Nonetheless, it's an excellent entry.

The presentation is perfect. The main issue with this game is control, the attack action sometimes queue up and is not very reliable, making the combat a bit frustrating, it also happens with movement. Also the aiming doesn't feel accurate. Music is great, on the other hand sounds lack some intensity, they are not paired to the rest of the game's greatness. Giving physicality to a game with sounds is key to deliver a powerful product. The pace of the game works perfectly, I liked buying cubes a feeling saver for a while while avoiding enemy attacks. You can "jump" over holes without much problem, which make the space part a little less important. Congratulations, with some polish this game could turn into a truly fun game.
@alastairwyn @zirrus Thank you both :) some parts are to improve though
@flaterectomy Thank you for your very detailed feedback. for upgrades, yes I think you didn't have enough (sorry we didn't had the time to integrate feedback about this :/)
Concerning the grey theme, it's an intentional art choice as we are in a strom and so the weither is grey :)
Thank you very much for the list of missing sound effects, it will help us a lot for the post-jam version !!
@le-slo Thank you for your feedback ! In a post jam version we will take into account all the feedbacks about player controls to provide a better experience :) For cubes, we will probably enlarge them but we have to deal with the fact that we want the terrain to be seen entirely in the camera view, so if cubes are larger it may have less cubes (We have to think about it to improve that part too)

It's not a bad game but something felt off to me. The graphics and music are great. The idea fits the theme nicely. I experienced some bugs like falling halfway through the floor. As for the player's attack I was a bit confused about where my avatar is facing and whether I was dealing damage to the enemies. I really liked the idea of the crystal that lets you upgrade and repair the floor but what I disliked is that there are a bit too much particles flying around and the isometric perspective. I think the game would look a lot cooler in a third person view perspective, although it may not be the intended perspective for this kind of game. But the game's really well put together. Good job!
@thibaultar > Concerning the grey theme, itβs an intentional art choice as we are in a strom and so the weither is grey :)
There are better options than drab grey though. Desaturated colour tones, cold blue tinting, etc can work just as well without greywashing, and still give the game life. If this is the final choice for the palette, so be it. Real storms don't make the world *actually* grey, so all I am asking is a reconsideration.
First thing last night when I was tired I tried to play your itch.io page header... It has the dimensions of a game and even says PRESS ANY KEY TO START. It's a good looking title, but you might want to crop it.
The mouse cursor is easy to lose track of. I'm on linux and with my desktop setup it's blue and blends in with your game. I feel like it would actually improve the game quite a bit if you added your own targeting cursor on the arena floor much like the indicator under the player. Cause of death was usually just losing my bearings.
The graphics are good, and you have established a mood with your particle effects, lighting, and music selection. Overall solid entry, great work guys! :)
This is funny and cute arena game with a great music. For now, the game feels unbalanced, but it has all the opportunities to develop. Special thanks for the AZERTY keyboard layout (I don't need it, but care of players is visible. And it is cool).

I think my favourite part is the attack animation and how the lives are displayed. The whole game is really nice to look at and fun to play (:

Really solid, you've paid attention to a lot of details for a jam game.
Some of them could be improved (aiming, for instance, is a bit tricky because of the character model making difficult to tell the angle despite the white arrow), but overall you've pulled a great entry. Sound and graphics fit well with each other, and I like the mechanics overall, even if I haven't been able to progress a lot yet.
Good work!

Verry nice graphics, love the flash-n-glow stuff. Slick UI too, you don't see that too often in LD games  The gameplay was straightforward, but worked nicely. Would have loved a ranged weapon / secondary weapon too.
@flaterectomy Oh yes, really nice idea, I'm not the artist in the project but we will consider this idea for a future version :)
@trevor-hayes Oops sorry about that, I'll fix it for other persons. For the cursor, we will consider your feedback to improve the experience, thanks :)
@alexey-akulovich Thanks for the feedback. We are french so the AZERTY/QWERTY switch seems essential for us ^^' And you're right, we have to do some balance on cards cost especially :)
@sarah Thanks a lot :)
@ithildin Thanks for your feedback! We plan to put eyes on the character and on enemies to improve the visibility of character current angle. if you have other ideas feel free to propose :)
@joror Thank you for the feedback :) Yes we would have loved a secondary ranged weapon but ... you know ... Time ^^
@axkarth Thanks for thee feedback, we will then try a version in third person mode to see how it looks like (but I didn't promise as we love 3D iso games ahah)
I really liked the idea of choosing a reward from the crystals and both the graphics and animations are fantastic! I got easily addicted which is a good thing! Falling through the floor was a liiittle bit cranky and I noticed I could walk in the hole to prevent falling down fast. I also experienced some bug where the game would take a held walk-direction-key as an input when I wasn't pressing any of them which was strange, but I think that the gae was one of the best I've played yet even so! A great job done really! :)

Damn if this is a jam game what is ours :D Awesome really. Welldone
I really enjoyed this game! The music fit really well and perfectly matched the stressful feeling of the floor falling out from underneath you! Great job!

I see a lot of visual effects in this entry. They are great. Honestly. Especially storm light that is synchronized with enemy spawn. Gameplay is very dynamic and keeps the player in a tone all the time. Game design is well balanced (in my opinion) in terms of rising of the hardness.
Great job!
Amazing! Really awesome art style and the storm creates a tense but climactic atmosphere. The controls are responsive and effective though I did struggle to tell which direction I was attacking in on occassion. Overall a reall solid jam!
Very appealing, congratulations on such a polished entry! Here's a little video of me playing and getting startled by each thunder ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLytdAQ0Ig4
Your game looks really nice and polished, I loved the thunder effects. I think they work like expected β I got a bit disoriented each time :) Controls weren't very intuitive for me, but I think it's mostly because I use a trackpad. Thanks for the web build!
Excellent visual polish on this game! I had a bit of trouble getting used to the interactions between the hero and the enemies, both hitting and being hit, but overall a really cool entry! Nice job!

Awesome game! I really enjoyed playing! The graphics are amazing and the music and sound effects add to a very epic eerie atmosphere. The gameplay and shop system were intuitive and fun. Great work!
Hello ! this is pretty impressive graphically, I like the atmosphere and characters design :) I found the gameplay slightly confusing, especially upgrading... But it's really juicy and fun !! Simple to understand, I jumped into the action directly and had a blast.
This is a really cool submission, congrats :)
@kptemre @julia-lundman @rubixnoob13 @bbaf @lagman9000 @roman-petrov @jordantanner @syrapt0r @thefunattic Thanks all for playing and for such good fedbacks :)
@philstrahl Thanks for playing it on your channel and for this awesome feedback :)
Did not find our when I lose a life. And do the enemies have HP and if yes shouldn't there be a healthbar or alike?

@firesplash-entertainment Hi, we wanted to implement a knockback on the player but time was our enemy at the end (some of us worked only 2 days because of our job). Enemy have HP but for us, it was not necessary to give them a lifebar, it's more stressful and there max health is increase with the current wave number.
@nerzal Thx for your feedback, to buy powerup, you have to put the a or e key (in azerty) or q or e key (for qwerty). The bonus is consumed when you buy it
Nice game, loved the concept (It was like one of my first ideias for the Jam, but my team decided to go other way). Don't know if there's something that explains how to buy the power-ups in-game, but I couldn't find it so I didn't buyed power-ups at all, so maybe you could put somehting that explains it there if there isn't yet.
This game is hot! It took me several tries and re-reading the directions to understand what the crystals were, but then I kept playing and playing because it was fun. The graphics are great. The music keeps the tension high. (I found it a little easier to concentrate when the loop ran out!) I might suggest simplifying the crystals. Instead of a choice, the crystal could just be what it is. I never ran out of coins, so the choice between 5 cubes or 7 cubes just meant I lost a second or two thinking about it. I'm going to keep playing, even after I give you bunches of stars.
@icarus-nb hi, thanks for playing and for your feedback! Upgrade purchase is explained in the description here: Q or E for Qwerty and A or E for azerty. For the next version we will work on choosing upgrades with mouse click π
@wrenpirate hello, thanks for the feedback! If I understand maybe we should integrate a kind a tutorial! Concerning crystal we doesn't plan to simplify the crystal as it's the main mechanic of the game to choose beetween player upgrades or repair the floor! But as you say maybe we should have a look at the gold cost of card! Maybe have a look to crystal by freezing a little the game when choosing to simplify the choice?
@thibaultar I think the cost of the cards is okay. I played several more times, paying more attention to the result of the cards. I actually did run out of coins several times. A little pause to choose the card might be a good idea. Ooh, I just went back to play some more. Sometimes, in the melee, I lose the cursor among the sparks and lighting. I used the accessibility preferences on my Mac to make the cursor bigger, which was helpful.
@wrenpirate thanks a lot for giving another try π I keep the solution of making the cursor bigger ;)
@thibaultar I finally made it to Wave 4 this evening! I have returned to play Xorn more than any other game. (Camp Snuggle by @scott-steffes was really good, too.)
I really like your graphics. THe game is fun and interesting. Very neat idea. Good Work dude

I liked the Graphics, and the Gameplay was fun, Nice Game.
Very solid gameplay and very comfortable graphics. It's very challenging when there are very few floors remain. Great Entry!
cool!
Like the graphics and gameplay! Would've liked a short tutorial to explain some of the mechanics at the beginning, but I understood most of it soon enough. Still not sure what Last Resort is. Would've loved a jump button too, to jump over monsters and pits. Otherwise, great entry!
