Fun music, especially the intro. I restarted the game so I could hear it again. Fun little game of Clue.

tangomango 2020-10-05 12:28

Haha this game is great. Gameplay is good

hydrasil 2020-10-05 12:41

Basically like being a real officer, on a space-platform, yeah? Pretty simple mechanics, but it kinda works.

Even after being pelted to oblivion multiple times, you just want to find out what describes the next baddie :)

firegamer3 2020-10-05 23:09

really fun and funny

coding4rtist 2020-10-05 23:11

Funny game, it's really satisfying breaking aliens in pieces! Creating different alients procedurally with body parts it's a clever idea. I would add support for WASD keys in addition to arrow keys and a score system. Music is also great, make a full track version of the intro, it's definitely my favorite.

pincushion 2020-10-05 23:26

I love all the dialogue. It's hilarious. It turns out that space people think I'm not a good police officer.

Well done on the space people too. They look great.

@testuser @tangomango @hydrasil @firegamer3 @coding4rtist @pincushion Many thanks for playing and commenting to all of you! :)

@coding4rtist The WASD keys were the last thing I tried to add, but I couldn't get them to work in the last five minutes and had to take them out again. Arrow keys + mouse is not the best combination obviously and I really wanted to have WASD controls in the game, but there were always more important things until the time was gone... well, some of the things probably weren't that important, but drawing every single star manually on the background image somehow felt like a good idea in the first half hour of the event...

There actually is a kind of score system in the game: The eye drone floating above you announces the most successful officer from time to time, so you can at least keep track of how many cases you solved without dying in one playthrough. But that's a very basic score system and an online score board with custom names like you did for your game would be much cooler of course.

The intro is actually a shorter version of a longer track I did first, but there were problems with sudden volume changes on the recording. I tried to do it again but for some reason stopped after a short time. This had the perfect length for an intro track, so I just made it the intro (no time to do another one anyway). The whole soundtrack thing was a very last-minute action and I'm no musicer composer in any way, so I didn't see any praise for the music coming at all, that's a pleasant surprise! :D

abrds 2020-10-06 11:52

Great game, turns out there can be no villains if there are no aliens left!

100th-coin 2020-10-06 17:47

Oh man this is hilarious. I love the random monster generation! Great work on the graphics and music! I found it a bit hard at times to figure out who it was, but I really enjoyed it! Great work.

jegus9 2020-10-06 21:20

pretty ironic i made a mystery game and still had such a hard time finding out who was the criminal until i got shot in the face. nice game but i think i'm not fit to be the space police

indiedevdan 2020-10-07 01:09

Funny little game. The music is great too! I ended up just shooting anything that moved...

neragoth 2020-10-08 19:01

Seriously this was a funny experience! What's in your mind to do such thing :D I don't know but it's pure genius. The drawing style, the music, the general humor that emerge from the so innocent faces of the aliens. You feel so bad when you kill an innocent haha. This was highly unexpected, I liked your game so much :)

no-nate-november 2020-10-08 20:33

I love it. It's whimsical in all the right ways. The art, animation, and the music creates a product that perfectly encapsulates that specific aesthetic of charming funky innocent imaginative sci-fi. Thank you for making this.

@no-nate-november @neragoth @indiedevdan @jegus9 @blobo @abrds Thank you so much for your nice comments, I really appreciate it! :)

At first I thought this didn't really fit the theme - until I saw the nice transition between platforms. But later, it occured to me - it's really about the cycle of violence and policing. There'll always be criminals, there'll always be paranoia, and there will always a policeman. I found myself laughing out loud many times at the sheer absurdity of the situation. My confusion combined with the bloodthirsty impatience of the alien populace combined with the manic soundtrack are a great mix for comedy.

bereg 2020-10-12 11:42

That's a fun game, I enjoyed playing it. It's a little bit too hard to find the right person to kill, but that's what policemen do. The music is just outstanding. If you add a simple animation to all these magnificent creatures, it could become a huge hit. Congratulations!

wakobu 2020-10-14 15:21

Very nice game ! Congratulations !

davidb 2020-10-14 19:06

Funny, I didn't understand the whole gameplay (I never found saboteur & C°) I like the intro.

kuro 2020-10-16 16:54

I really had fun with this, and had a few laughs. I'd say the narrative and the humor is the strongest point of this game. You should make something longer with this style of humor. I'd play it .) Kudos

acdia 2020-10-18 19:24

The concept of finding someone by using hints was well implemented. Especially the funny elements, like hitting an innocent running in front of your gun or the levitating AI thing. It was a challange to interpret all the hints from different sides whilst most of them just wanted me to work faster. Feels like real life - just as promised in the description. :D

ditam 2020-10-18 19:28

Hm, I'm doubting the lifelike claim in "Lifelike police & space platform simulation", but I've never been a police officer in space, so I'll give you the benefit of doubt.

wxzuir 2020-10-21 19:17

It may be not your intention, but the game does reminds me some political event in our society. Great game!

justcamh 2020-10-24 14:34

Hey, I played your game on stream! It was a ton of fun, here's the vod if you'd like to rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/780254814

Thanks for submitting your game!

[We played your game on stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=02h22m00s)

Super sorry we had some technical difficulties during this. :slight_frown: I like the premise of this one, but unfortunately there were a couple of things I had difficulty with when trying to find the criminals...

I love the personalities and unique looks of all these characters, though! This is a surprising amount of content to be put out by just one person, awesome job here!

future-labs-unlimited 2020-10-27 11:27

Many thanks to everyone for playing and commenting! :)

@coleslaughter The game is meant to be a bit chaotic and hectic, but I guess the problem is that it immediately starts this way and people are already trying to kill you while you're still trying to figure out what you're supposed to do. I didn't have much time for balancing, so this is definitely a problem. I'm a bit shocked about the CPU usage problem, didn't mean to crash any live streams! :D I can't reproduce it yet on my computer, but I'll keep looking into it.
