Wow, the music, ambience, sounds and smoothness of animations is epic. I'm not sure I understood what I was doing but I felt in the game with this bold ambience. It would be cool to make a start screen where you explain the puzzle mechanic. (I'm maybe foolish, I tried to take a door aligned with symbols, I try to activate symbols aligned with others and I had no other idea)
The platforming gameplay is really good! Jumping leaves a really good sensation. I liked how you stick on a platform and that permits you to climb it by jumping but I don't know if its voluntary^^ (it's still a bit too sticky imo). Love the music aswell, always enjoyed those type of sounds, it reminds me a lot of FTL's soundtracks.
Really beautiful game, you get carried away by the atmosphere, congratulations.
The gameplay and the idea is really interesting! Bold Sounds, cool graphics. I was about to say I don't understand why I lose as my bumpers are hitting the matching color... Then I launched again and understood the colored edge were the barriers you have to project the aliens into (I read the tutorial I promise :D) and this placed your game in an other dimension. Really working well and hard as hell, type of game you need to try hard and get some skills because the gameplay is kind of unique. Gratz
Really fun game! The controls are a bit rigid, more smoothness and speed would make it even funnier Imho.
Beautiful and eye-catching design. One is immediately hypnotized by the train in the loop. Very good work, congratulations!
Cool concept, works well with the theme, perfectly done and visuals and sounds are nice. My suggestion would be an additional mode in which your goal would be to escape from the ring with as less destroyed blocks as possible ;) (This is the first thing I did as I didnt read the objectives description, and I found that quite funny and hard^^)
The atmosphere and the drawings are excellent! But I admit I felt a bit frustrated by the huge size of the area. It is a detail but if you densify the interactions in the given space to explore, it will kill the repetitiveness :).
Dude the design (graphics, fx, music) feels so good. Honestly I really liked it but it was a bit repetitive and imo the moments when the ship goes with you on the circle is breaking the rythm. Some improvements Ive got in mind : increase the speed of the shots faster so it keeps very dynamic, add some more move possibilities and other patterns, add some objectives aswell, it would be cool to fire directly at the ship like you can separate the ship in destroyable elements and we have to go around to fire at a precise component, in a particular order (battery shielding, then motors, etc). You did really great overall! :o
It's so nice! So simple idea but really well done, the movement feels natural even tho its really hard sometimes. I struggled a lot with eccentric planets and I felt not punished or whatever, I just wanted to reach it even after 50 launches, and when it passes very very close, turn around and finally stick to the last planet *YAY* :D
Had lot of fun, it would be a perfect mobile game! Too bad there are no sounds, that would be cool
Godness, my aaaarm, my hannnd! I feel paaain :D haha! I love it. Even if its painful in the end, the idea is clever, well executed, and the sounds, the kill anims are so rad it feels good. Great one here!
Well there is not many things to tell about gameplay as it is really simple click, but still the placement management is kind of amusing. But I have to congrats you for this, I read your introduction and it seems it was difficult to finish your projects in the past. This one is perfectly functional, and is really pretty. I really like the style. Next step do this again without the jam as a motivation :)
+I want to add it made me laugh, when you are submerged with windows it's quite funny as its so true :D
I didn't expect to die when I finally get my hands on this ring!! this is bad!!! Nah, kidding, I liked the humor and you should do a longer adventure with more choices because its really fun to play. Reminds me of roleplay books with choices (nostalgia..) Killer design ;)
The labyrinth feeling is really here and the atmosphere is oppressive and mystical in a good way. A little thought on this is that difficulty seems more a consequence of missing or not enough tested mechanics : - weird collisions - camera not following the hero fast enough when you are goin down and up (certainly due to the screen aspect ratio) - missing launch and impact sounds for the javelin
All of these are greatly reduced once you know how to avoid them, and can only be detected with tests for sure, and I'm certain you can fix them very easily! :) Overall, it was very pleasant to play :)
It's very smooth, I like how the screens switch and how it permits really fast choice... The ambience is very cool aswell and I never thought a simple work day could be so dangerous to die that much! hahaha The drawings are not awesome but they are all appropriate with their given situation. I want to add, even if its not in the rating choices, that the sound design is very good ;)
Wonderful arts, from titles, typos to the level assets. Only one reproach would be the alien trappy balls with spikes should be more visible. I loved the general ambience of the game and the concept, without being revolutionnary, is really well made and I had fun going through the levels.
Amazing! It's really fun with well thought level design, and the juiciness of gameplay and animations is here. Clean and pretty graphics too. Congrats on this...
The idea is really in the theme and Ive got to say this is well done. +A plane landing on a heliport is kinda fun :p
I don't know if the story is true... that you couldn't make a game in time so you did this.
Maybe its a good point you couldn't, right? Because this is sick.
It entertained me.
And now I want to make you piss off again.
Now. I said. now. Gimme my game. Gimme. Gimme now. What? You thought you could won at your own game?
No way. I'm still here. Here. Heeeeeere.
:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Nice concept! looping area as you fall again and again till you reach the objectives. Imo the recreated top is too visible and you should maybe create it while you are still falling so we can't see the platform appearing from nothing. The mechanic can be developped and the gameplay improved but there is really something interesting ;)
Damn the concept is so good and working so great! You made a killer level design with some only winable in the last second of the last loop. The fact you can quickly use all your loops to restart the entire level is well thought aswell. I've tested close to 30 games and this is the one with the best core mechanic I've seen so far. I don't especially like puzzle games but it was so easily understandable what you can and have to do, Perfectly executed :v:
Relaxing game :) I didn't understand what was happening at the beginning when I died again and again (restarted 10 times :X :D) but in the end I understood that there was just 1 level and I finished it^^ Overall, cool ambience and lovely drawings
I see the top of the basketball hoop when I start the game and I get a gray screen a few seconds later. I think it comes from the resolution of my screen. I like the play on words in the title.
I didn't understand everything, but the game remains beautiful and the music pleases me a lot.
Mmh, I like the humor! I think the concept is very cool but the controls are a bit hard to use. 3 times off 4 the commands didn't make the platform move on the second scene. This is a bit frustrating because I had it placed well but couldn't jump on it (window was too small). I coudn't manage to get it at the good position after that. The concept is really really good so you should really fix the commands! (many times you type and it begins with an uppercase and the command doesn't work, and sometimes this is all uppercase and it works.)
Funny! haha. I like how its not punitive but all the opposite, you can only improve and then just try good move combos. Relaxing game in a simple way! One thought would be to make the blobs bounce against wall because they are often stuck and then you can't really get them.
Hahaha, a game where you have to avoid the finish level "door" because it is a looping level. What a nice idea and a really funny one. I was hooked by the messages when you hit the flags at the beginning :D -> "Dat big flag HAS to be the ooone!" *I thought* :D Looking at the Gameplay, the platforming physics are awesome, really good sensation. Just one little thing : sometimes it feels a bit hard to jump from the edge of a platform (which is often required to reach the next one) so it would be a nice thing to virtually increase the collider width of the platform you are onto to make the game less punitive on these jumps (just a thought ;))
I had fun and controls are really good, except when you stop going forward imo the ship stops too quickly. But overall, the drive sensation is quite good and you improve your lap times really fast. Wall collisions were a bit weird with this bouncing movement. If you can manage to make the ship "slide" on walls while reducing a lot the speed (as a normal friction) that will improve a lot the gameplay imho. Also, sound is quite simple but was pleasant especially when you accelerate :)
You made a very simple clicking mechanic fun to play and that is mostly because of the humor and the total absurdity of the thing :D Fact is that it is really well done and the char design is so funny.
I loved the concept of your game, it's a great idea. The gameplay reminds me of micro machines, but without the key to move in a straight line. Nice sound design.
Seriously this was a funny experience! What's in your mind to do such thing :D I don't know but it's pure genius. The drawing style, the music, the general humor that emerge from the so innocent faces of the aliens. You feel so bad when you kill an innocent haha. This was highly unexpected, I liked your game so much :)
I like hard games so the challenge was here, but at a moment I had to stop because of the sounds (music loop is a bit short). A button to turn it off would be really cool! Other than that, it is working well, the mechanic makes me think about the game Get Over It which I enjoyed :D
I'ts very hard but not in a too punitive way. Only thing I'd change is permit to the player to move by self around the orbit rather than just switch direction. It would let us kill them all and would be maybe more dynamic :P I like the retro design and sounds :)
@pixelmoose-studio @allov @tort60091 @namidasai @gibss @clemonades @doomerismo @cyborg-studio @nidrig @fabula-rasa @swiftvector @sidonie-go
Many thanks to all of you for your feedback
I am very happy that you like the game!
@cyborg-studio I modified the web version to remove the bug in level 7
@swiftvector As indicated on the timeline, you can press the R key to restart the loop
@swiftvector oh I understand now what you meant. I'll keep your idea in mind, its a very good one indeed. Lots of features I could not add because of rush but Im gonna do a more complete version 😊
@anomay @zashers @fabdynamic @vem @nethead @hugo1306 @celuloide thanks for your feedbacks! @hugo1306 thank you for the clue, I'll add the falling auto restart in an other version :) @celuloide Indeed, it seems that the timeline is confusing for some testers... My thought on this was to add a ghost appearing at the player position during a very short time every 1 or 2 seconds to break the confusion. (and add a grid to the timeline with seconds to make sure you can understand it is not related to scene width)
I really liked the concept, the difficulty that increases with each loop is a great idea. I would have liked the shooting loop to be a shorter one. Nothing wrong with the graphics, they are perfect. Great game ;)
Funny game, but you don't know when you die. Difficult to predict the damage.
