This was fun! Fun to try and learn where all of the diamonds were. I was a little confused at first when I went left and fell off, it might be better if there was a wall on the left?

Thanks for the feedback! i'm kinda intended it like that for giving a direct example how the loop is as my loop was kinda weird because no background or visual cue if the loop was happened.
It was a little unclear how you were supposed to win with the goal being "Reach the bottom" but having to actually collect the 4 diamonds first before reaching it. You already mentioned that the loop was already weird visually, but I would also agree to that.
I collected the diamonds and reached the bottom of the hole and the game didn't give me any more objectives so... I win? The whole thing took less than a minute, so in terms of substance, this is a little lacking, even for a Ludum Dare game. But I found the rudimentary visuals charming, and the process of going through loops figuring out a bit more of what to do each time was engaging. Congratulations on your entry, I had fun with it, even if it didn't last long.
Good work. I think the simple art and minimalistic background music work well for this game.
If I were to offer a suggestion, it would be that it would have been nice to have had some kind of message appear upon reaching the bottom, to make it clear that it's the end of the game.
I feel like criticisms about the length of the game are misguided. It's much better to have a short, finished game than to plan a longer game but not finish it.
Thanks for your feedback. @sirred, @squimmy and @quinn-patrick yeah the ending was kinda confusing because i rushed it for deadline. I think i need to learn managed my time more properly for Compo. Anyways, Thanks for your input. :v:
The game idea is very interesting. I think it could lead to a very interesting game design with more time to dev a game around that. Like others already said, took me a while to realize I have finished the game since you do not have any feedback. I got some fun trying to reach the 4 diamonds.
Nice concept! looping area as you fall again and again till you reach the objectives. Imo the recreated top is too visible and you should maybe create it while you are still falling so we can't see the platform appearing from nothing. The mechanic can be developped and the gameplay improved but there is really something interesting ;)
Tricky game, but the difficulty was a bit too high for me, from the start but I enjoyed the game enough to keep on persisting until I got it right :-) Well done!

Yeah. It was fun to find where all diamonds were. Nice work. Please visit my game too and rate it:) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/the-dumb-robot
Pretty straightforward concept, I liked the sound design. The loops felt pretty smooth too when you fell to the bottom and went back the start. Not bad for a compo game!
My immediate thought is that those minimalist graphics call for a full contemplative soundtrack, which could turn the vertical looping into a relaxing experience :)
