LD45 — Start with nothing

Dumpy's Endless Quest for Crap by Budaniel 2019-10-21T08:29:52Z

It's cool that you made it procedurally generated! I think the controls could use a bit of work, you accelerate really fast and also you don't fall while you're not moving for some reason. Beating people up and getting their money is satisfying though ^^

Private Universe by Zathnic 2019-10-28T08:49:59Z

Cool level design and gameplay idea, very unique! I played through to the end and I think my only complaint would be that it could use a bit more checkpoints. Really great overall!

Kobold Simulator by someone 2019-10-22T04:28:28Z

Really cool engine! Making the people chase after me was really fun, I couldn't figure out to place things in the cave without people taking it back though. It looks like a lot of work was put into this though!

Something from Nothing by Alphish 2019-10-28T05:43:55Z

Very chill music and nice graphics! I like that you took a simple concept and really polished it up.

Build Or Die by pkenney 2019-10-28T07:54:00Z

I got into the game pretty quick, it was fun! If you have a bad start it's kind of hard to come back, but the gameplay loop was very satisfying. I think it could be cool to develop as a co-op game, or even as a 1v1 local multiplayer thing? It has a lot of potential to be developed!

Formless by Shugor 2019-10-08T04:39:19Z

Really cute art and dialogue! I thought it controlled very smoothly also.

Sword Of Nothing by Birdlay 2019-10-11T07:15:55Z

I love the sound effects! It lagged my computer a bit trying to play but very funny take on the theme ^^

Spam Space To Exist by Wheffle 2019-10-12T04:21:12Z

Really fun game, it's satisfying to see your ship grow, and I like the funny quotes when you die! I found it kind of hard to get started again after dying though, I tried a few times but found it easier to just restart from the beginning usually. I think with some balancing it could be really great!

Build Yourself by lilkrit 2019-10-28T05:38:15Z

Interesting game, I had some performance issues on my laptop. I think that the menu could maybe be implemented without using a separate menu also. I liked the graphics though!

When Nothing Came by velvetlobster 2019-10-08T06:17:32Z

This was a really cool narrative! The music and art was very nice and emotional, definitely the top game I've seen so far <3

UnderShell by KaueSilva 2019-10-28T08:55:59Z

Cool music and graphics! Gameplay was a bit unforgiving, I think with some extra health/health pickups or more defense against the obstacles it would be great.

Slime Slayer by ZachZ 2019-10-28T07:06:04Z

Cool simple game! It started slowing down when there were too many slimes, but well done overall!

CAT-A-COMB by Neon Glass 2019-10-28T08:26:30Z

Really cool and addicting game! I like that when you died you retain some of the money you had so you don't start from scratch. I got to the point where my score was so big that it underflowed though! This is probably the game I spent the most time playing in the jam, really great work ^^ under.JPG

Finished Raccoon Bikini Game by D5R 2019-10-09T06:49:57Z

This was a fun and addicting game! You got lots of cool mechanics and level ideas out in such a short time, super cool!

Evolve! by Allan Urique 2019-10-11T07:31:39Z

I was confused at first and kept holding up, and was confused why I wasn't running into anything! The perspective was a bit confusing but after I figured out what was going on the game was relaxing and satisfying. I'm excited to see if you do more with this!

Insert Title Text Here by Bip 2019-10-09T07:08:03Z

I like the feel of the game a lot and the mechanics! I accidentally reached a point towards the end where I flipped and I floated off into space forever though :(

A world of Black and White by Frozen Spirit 2019-10-11T07:47:30Z

Great concept, I think that like others were saying with some good UI and a clearer goal/progress tracking then it would be really good!

Who cares if it's buggy, just ship it! by ItsNotAGoodTime 2019-10-08T05:10:47Z

Super cute dialogue! I didn't realize I couldn't swap people out though so I just grabbed the first 3 hehe

Words against Numbers by Mastoast 2019-10-21T08:45:09Z

Really creative game idea! Taking damage when you shoot too much was a smart idea to prevent from just spamming the word over and over.

Boss Battle Royale by Gold5Games 2019-10-11T07:39:10Z

The graphics were very nice, and the dragon animations were cool! Well designed AI/attacks too, I had a hard time cheesing the fight. I think with some more variety in weapons/items it could be a really cool game, and for the time constraints it's great!

Soul Corrupter by supercannon 2019-10-09T07:28:49Z

It was super satisfying to make a big circle and get moving really fast! Really satisfying mechanics, I'd love if there was some kind of point system to see how well you did at the end.

Bootstraps by Bubble Boy 2019-10-08T04:46:24Z

Cool concept and UI! It could maybe benefit from having some feedback on how you're doing or a clearer end goal?

Who's Your Weapon by Kevin Ray 2019-10-22T05:18:21Z

Really nice idea! I was confused at first, I wonder if maybe there could be a way to steal a weapon without dying? I also got stuck in a configuration with no exit so I ended up having to quit. With some tweaking and bug fixes I think this could be a really great experience!

Kebab Stand by DrGrognak 2019-10-08T05:28:53Z

Really cool and simple game idea! I got into it fast and it was cool to see the upgrades and stuff!

Rhythmic Nothing by Vyndilis 2019-10-08T05:16:11Z

Really cool graphics and music! It seemed like the music fell out of sync with the rhythm you have to press the button a bit? I liked how the music changed over time!

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Möbius by tigerfinch 2020-10-16T06:48:52Z

I liked the idea you had, like others said I think a brief tutorial on how to move would be nice, plus some faster movement. I think with some small tweaks it has lots of potential, good work!

Loop Bouncer by pkenney 2020-10-06T05:32:11Z

Fun and addictive gameplay! The movement took a while to get used to but I learned to know when to go fast and slow, and using the hover to kind of stall in place and dodge enemies, it's really a clever system once you get used to it.

I think it would be amazing with some more variety, like different enemy types or level shapes. I will say that I've never been more upset at orange rectangles in my life xD

Loopy Loops by ded 2020-10-17T02:19:12Z

Very simple haha, I liked the graphics though, it was an interesting 3d feeling sprite game. Good work!

waveloop by radmars 2020-10-16T07:03:36Z

The graphics and music were both really pretty. The way the instruments built on each other was really cool and creative, very artistic. I'd love to see what more you could do with this concept!

Abide the Loop by Ethan Alexander Shulman 2020-10-09T08:26:11Z

Pretty simple idea but well executed, I liked the visuals and sound design. I think some more variety in beats/rhythm could make the game more fun, but good for 48 hours!

Speedy Spider VS Fishy Fish by gaspard 2020-10-16T05:48:58Z

I liked the graphics, the intro cutscene was cute too! I definitely didn't expect the spider to be vulgar too haha. The controls are a little unforgiving, some better way of dodging or a way to choose which direction you're shooting could be nice, I couldn't ever get the fish down to less than half health. Solid entry overall though!

Hamster Racer by SvartTand 2020-10-27T06:02:39Z

Cute game! It took me a while to get the controls down but I like the way momentum works once you figure it out. For me the hardest jump was the first one, the rest seemed much easier! The voices were really funny too.

SnakeLoops by datadazer 2020-10-06T02:21:15Z

I never played Snake Pass but this makes me think of it. The mouse sensitivity was a bit high, but it was an interesting idea and I had fun trying to figure out the controls!

Trapped On Track by Mads 2020-10-06T19:57:06Z

I didn't understand how to place tracks at first but once I did, the game made much more sense. I liked the models and the lighting a lot, the game feels very fleshed out also for a game jam! Good job!

load_save(); by rubr 2020-10-27T05:43:13Z

The game feels polished! I think it would be good if you slowly introduced the weapons rather than having them all be given to you at once, that way you could slowly introduce the mechanics of the game. Great entry all around though.

Cursorial by RedHermit 2020-10-16T05:38:05Z

That was much more thought provoking than I anticipated for a hamster wheel game. I liked the music and Phil was really cute too. Phil has something we should all strive for honestly!

Escape. Where? by MrWhimble 2020-10-06T19:38:18Z

The game was fun, the tasks remind me of Among us. The map was really confusing with the way it looped, which I guess was the point! I managed to reach the end and put in the code but for some reason the game didn't end unfortunately. Fun experience overall though, great job!

Hold "A" To Win! by 420blazeit 2020-10-08T00:36:00Z

I loved the pixel art you did and the sound effects! Funny commentary on the state of some games nowadays.

Candy Collector by Nikos 2020-10-06T04:34:53Z

I like that the broom sounded like some kind of engine revving as it sped up, it was funny when I ran into stuff and I started tumbling everywhere too. Good halloween themed project!

Spaghetti Quest by peterfonts 2020-10-15T05:59:30Z

Funny concept and take on the theme! The sound design, graphics and UX all look very professional too. There wasn't much difference from level to level it seemed, but a great execution of a fun idea all around.

A Really Bad Day by Shyrro 2020-10-15T06:15:18Z

I liked the dialogue and humor, all the UI was smooth too. I liked your text adventure interpretation of the theme, if you worked on it more you could add more branching paths!

Gunguin by TinySalad 2020-10-15T06:08:00Z

I liked the graphics a lot, I like that you had a lot of different death cutscenes too. The jump felt a bit heavy, but could be fixed pretty easily. Great job on the ocmpo!

Labyrinth Looper by RegularSalamander 2020-10-27T07:24:54Z

Really cool visuals, I found the torch to be the more useful than the shield but I liked that you had to drop the more useful items to pick up the key for progression. The dungeon generation system is really interesting also, would love to see the mechanics behind that!

break by DecadeDecaf 2020-10-17T02:30:23Z

I loved this, cute graphics/music and a nice satisfying ramp up of the gameplay. I liked that you made the enemies more dangerous as time went on, but also scaled the number of rewards so it didn't get tedious. Great work!

Jonny D. Jobs! by WhyNotYT 2020-10-16T06:43:11Z

I liked the cutscenes and music, pretty simple but funny short adventure. Good job!

Katira's Tower by Monado 2020-10-06T19:20:25Z

I liked the card-based gameplay and artwork a lot! I was having trouble beating the purple enemies, they kept healing and I couldn't do enough damage to offset. I think with some difficulty tweaking you have a great concept to develop!

opLo by JoaoG 2020-10-17T02:41:40Z

I'm also stuck on the title screen. Unless it's supposed to loop? xD

opLo by JoaoG 2020-10-17T19:36:34Z

@joaog Ah I see, I was able to play it for real now. Maybe some kind of indicator the title screen is looping would help to show it's not a bug haha.

I liked the sprites, and the dialogue was funny! I agree with others that acceleration should be a bit faster on movement, then it would feel nicer to control. Good job overall!

Mouse Wheel by YokoOnFire 2020-10-07T23:50:49Z

Cool game idea, I liked how you built on the concept of escaping the wheel. I think that gravity should be a bit less floaty though, so the player can be able to react more easily. The art was really cute also. Good job!

Stuck in Room by BhavinDivecha 2020-10-27T07:59:15Z

This game had some nice graphics polish, the movement seemed way too fast for me, maybe it was connected to framerate and so it was going faster than you might have anticipated? Having a way to determine which door is right without trial and error would be nice too. Solid entry though!

Torus The Dolphin by walaber 2020-10-10T06:26:22Z

Really good animation and impressive physics too for a game jam especially! The camera controls were a little wonky but you have an interesting system to build off of if you decided to make more levels. I loved the graphics, and the sploosh sounds as you went out of water too.

Space Minigolf by russeli 2020-10-17T02:56:23Z

I liked your unique take on golfing! Took a few tries to understand how it works but after I did it worked well. I think it having some kind of minimap would help, or a course overview before you enter the level so you have an idea of where you're going without trial and error. Great job overall!

LoopHole by Polusi 2020-10-15T06:32:20Z

Pretty straightforward concept, I liked the sound design. The loops felt pretty smooth too when you fell to the bottom and went back the start. Not bad for a compo game!

Don't Stress that Beat! by JoskerDu 2020-10-06T04:21:01Z

I love the concept and graphics, it certainly stressed me out and I think that was the point xD

I could see this working as some kind of weird stress-themed rhythm game if the song was more in sync with the actions. Great job!

Sisyphus Beetle Takes His Daughter to Work by pee-thief 2020-10-06T05:00:32Z

Funny game! It's impressive the amount of art you made for this in a weekend. I was having a hard time getting the green bar to work on the second part for some reason, but it didn't really detract from the craziness haha

Danger Beat by rhoff95 2020-10-08T00:16:49Z

I liked the sprites and sound design, I think it would be nice to have an ending and maybe some invincibility frames, but really solid all around for a 48 hour game!

Bhoot && Toobh by pune007 2020-10-06T04:41:52Z

Neat take on the 2 players being controlled by the same input mechanic. I liked the music a lot too, really relaxing. It stopped for me after one loop though unfortunately. Amazing game for 24 hours!

Stuck in the Rhythm by Thejaspel 2020-10-06T20:24:53Z

This game feels very polished, I liked the dynamic music as you get a larger combo, and the graphics are amazing. I felt like the music was out of sync with the timing that you had to press the keys so it made me lose combos often, but with that fixed it would be really good. Great job!

A100P by ItsIsaac 2020-10-27T05:49:39Z

Really nice looking game visually! I was kind of confused as to the goal and how to influence the robot properly. I agree with what some others said that with a tutorial, and some tweaking on the camera angles, it would be a great experience.

Retro Loop by Minos_L2b 2020-10-06T18:59:34Z

I liked building momentum, on the levels with orange obstacles it would be nice if the camera was zoomed out a bit more so you could see them coming rather than having to memorize positions. Good for a first jam though!

TimeHop by Isha 2020-10-09T09:27:28Z

Cool clicker game, I wasn't expecting much from something of this genre but I liked that you built up different tiers that feed into each other, it's a unique take on it!

Kill Me Plenty by Blood_Jackal23 2020-10-06T19:45:34Z

It was an interesting idea but I couldn't figure out how to progress. I loved the art and music though, I'd like to see another version of this game with a clearer tutorial. Good work!

Outside The Loop by Peace Of Cake Games 2020-10-10T06:11:24Z

Solid entry! If I had a suggestion, it would be to make the goal more clear, it seemed like you had to touch the goal box to progress to the next section, but maybe it would help to have that box be distinct from the others in some way. Some kind of checkpoint system might be good too, so you don't have to go all the way back to the beginning if you die. Good job overall though, good luck on any future projects you develop!

This Will Be My Cycle by don-tnowe 2020-10-07T23:34:31Z

Really cool idea, I think that if it were developed more with level types and some polishing on the controls I could see this being a full game, especially with a multiplayer option too! Good job!

Loop Tower by SubMan 2020-10-09T07:35:50Z

I liked the background noise a lot, it was very nice and ambient. Artwork was great too. I agree with others that some more variety to the environment, or less time spent walking between things would improve the overall experience, since it got a little repetitive and hard to tell whether you're making progress. I like the idea though and it has potential, great job!

Hammy and the Computer by Monxtert 2020-10-08T00:24:54Z

Cool game idea, I liked the idea of the slow progression while you go through the same tasks. I think using a different key than ESC to close the windows would have made it a bit easier, and maybe some more variety on the tasks. But great job especially for a first ludum dare! The hamster was really cute too.

The Impossible Room by RainyDay2800 2020-10-08T00:05:16Z

Interesting puzzle idea, I didn't read the description so I didn't get that you needed to hit yourself at first, but after I did it made more sense. I liked the music, gave me a bit of a portal vibe. It's impressive how you were able to get the level to loop so smoothly also, good job!

No Room For Mistake by Jack I 2020-10-27T08:04:26Z

I liked the short levels! The controls were a bit slippery, and I noticed sometimes I would accelerate into the edge of the screen and get stuck on it. Needs a bit of tweaking, but I think it's an idea that you could develop!

Stuck In A While Loop by Sven Lowry 2020-10-09T07:15:41Z

Smart idea and really clean implementation, especially for a first game! I feel like this could be a little confusing for someone who isn't familiar with code, but I suppose it's pretty self explanatory. If I had any nitpick I think a tutorial would be nice, but I understand it's hard with time constraints. Really great work!

Lost Memories by RodNas 2020-10-06T18:51:10Z

I like the concept but the controls didn't make sense to me, I'm guessing your keyboard is laid out differently than WASD? I like the atmosphere and art a lot!

Paradox by IndieRonin 2020-10-09T07:04:10Z

The movement felt good, I think with some polish you have a nice movement system here to work with! I wasn't clear if there was an end goal exactly, and you mentioned also in the description but it would be nice if there was an indicator for when the grapple will work. Solid entry overall though!

Star-Dogged Moon by Ree Rolph 2020-10-06T04:25:01Z

I didn't follow the story exactly, but I really liked the atmosphere you were creating with the art and music. I was afraid of a jumpscare the whole time haha. Good work!

Star-Dogged Moon by Ree Rolph 2020-10-06T04:33:06Z

@ree-rolph I just read horror and my paranoid brain just started thinking jumpscare! I liked your writing a lot too, it is very vivid and paints a good description of the scene ^^

A Hamster's Journey to Nowhere by Vortigaunts 2020-10-16T06:10:26Z

Fun take on the clicker game, I thought all the hamster upgrades were really cute and I loved the graphics! If I had one critique it would be nice if you could somehow make the interface all fit on one screen, or reduce the amount of scrolling needed. Great work overall!

LD49 — Unstable

Volatile Valkyrie by madjackmcmad 2021-10-08T05:43:24Z

For a compo game the fighting and animations felt well fleshed out! I liked the extra stuff you added like the parry and how attacking/blocking in midair kept you floating in the air a bit more. It felt kind of hard to kill the enemies quickly enough once I reached the "unstable" levels but maybe I wasn't doing it right. Great job overall!

Unstable Caves by notime4games 2021-10-20T19:59:14Z

Cool puzzle idea, I had trouble figuring out to do them when they got more complicated. The systems seemed to be good, the only issue I found was if I picked up ladders sometimes the UI wouldn't show how many I have correctly. Solid entry though!

Unstable escape by Crazy046 2021-10-20T20:32:09Z

Very good for a compo game! I like the visuals even though they were simple, the torches with the smoke particles were a cool touch. I think I locked the game on the shape puzzle because I accidentally dropped one of the shapes through the wall and it disappeared unfortunately. Good job!

Chain React TD by Ramperkash 2021-10-20T23:07:33Z

It was a cool idea, I like the idea that you can set up like an intricate web of towers to attack your enemies. Some better indicator of when things are being hurt and how much health they have might be helpful - the towers felt kind of weak and it was hard to know where enemies would come from. I think the idea has potential, just needs some polish!

Durgon Outpost by Joseph Manley 2021-10-06T02:51:38Z

The jam build crashed for me but the updated version seemed to work. I like the visual style and the dialogue was charming. Needs some more gameplay though!

Fragile Arms: A Sci Fi Story by Phlip45 2021-10-06T08:06:29Z

Cool game concept, I liked the art style a lot and the voice clips were funny! I liked that there was even some extra lines if you lingered in the boss room. I think my only suggestion would be maybe to put weapon crafting on the same screen as the gameplay, or like a quick craft option since that would help to maintain the flow if your weapon breaks during combat.

Nuclear Routine by maxds98 2021-10-09T21:15:38Z

I really liked the mood of the game, the combination of graphics and audio really made it feel tense when things are going wrong. Game felt very polished overall too. My only suggestion would be a slower ramp-up of mechanics, like where you only start with 2 controls and slowly work up to the final number since it was a lot to figure out all at once. Great job overall!

Deep Space Defenders by megalukes 2021-10-10T18:22:46Z

Straightforward but well polished tower defense game. Graphics and audio really enhanced the experience. I couldn't get past wave 13 because my damage just wasn't keeping up but maybe my strategy wasn't good enough. Solid experience overall!

Gecko's Chronicles: The Miserable Men by RAFFE 2021-10-20T19:43:53Z

Great visual/sound design, A cool take on a kind of walking simulator style game. The 3d scanned environments felt very dream-like and made for a cool atmosphere - the endless stairs in part 3 was cool. The little stories were neat but maybe felt a bit straightforward. Great job overall!

The Landscape Hates You! by RonanRory 2021-10-20T23:56:30Z

The game felt solid, good art and sfx for a compo game. Some issues with jumping not working properly, but with the development struggles it's not a huge deal. Don't be so hard on yourself!

Herman's Fallacy by LarrySeinfeld 2021-10-06T07:06:15Z

This is hilarious haha. Reminds me of like a mix between Battleblock theater/Stanley's Parable humor. I was having a ton of trouble and couldn't get past the first spike room after like 15 minutes of trying but I still enjoyed myself thoroughly xD

Pong-Anoid by Zapturk 2021-10-06T06:40:56Z

I like the take on pong, lots of creative ideas! Maybe a simple 1 player mode where the opponent just attempts to follow the ball's y position would be fun. But for the time in the jam I thought it was well executed.

Bobby McStevie's Unstable Adventure by MrKnd94 2021-10-21T00:03:35Z

Pretty basic game, like others were saying the wait time is unclear, and having to wait for so long to progress is a bit frustrating. Good job submitting to the compo though, hopefully you learned something that you can apply next time!

Ungravity by Zelberor 2021-10-20T20:55:12Z

I liked the visual style and atmosphere you created. The controls felt a bit clunky, like the long landing animation that freezes you in place, and sometimes gravity would shift like every couple seconds so I couldn't get anywhere. I think with polish to the controls you have a good idea though!

RoTable by Vitor Milioni 2021-10-08T05:51:38Z

Haha loved it, like a weird getting over it/qwop hybrid. Could not for the life of me get past the one with the stop sign and the bicycle but I thought the game definitely accomplished what you set out to do xD

Fantasy Quest by Zliebowitz 2021-10-08T06:07:31Z

Nice game, I liked the creepy glitch feel to it. The graphics and music were very good for the amount of time, game felt polished overall!

Potions for Dummies by Milan Dolezal 2021-10-09T21:59:53Z

If there were cutscenes at the beginning/end they weren't playing for me, on the WebGL build + Firefox - just got a skip button. I liked the game though, really cute aesthetic and I liked that you had to experiment to undo the problems that some of the fixes caused. Good job!

A totally normal Pacman by Leandro4002 2021-10-20T20:44:35Z

Silly idea and a cool take on the genre-shift type of game. I like the idea of random game enemies invading and having to avoid them, the enemies were pretty dumb though honestly and didn't pose much of a threat! I liked the visuals though and the lightning effects, game felt solid overall.

Don't drop it! by Srynetix 2021-10-06T07:55:54Z

Best game I've played so far in the jam! Requires lots of mouse precision but I didn't think it was ever unfair, aside from the yellow blocks being a little frustrating in one of the later levels. Lots of polish on this, great visuals/sound and just a great experience overall. Great work!

Un-Stable by Lychee 2021-10-09T20:29:27Z

@antom Thank you, I had a team of 3 going into the jam but unfortunately they both bailed on me on the second day, so I had to do what I could :/

Drunk Fist by Nicolas Revillon 2021-10-06T02:43:23Z

Graphics were very impressive to look at (though they hurt my head a bit)! I thought the music was really good and funny too.

Like others said the options menu doesn't seem to work properly, but for the duration of the jam I thought it was very impressive.

Creative game! I like the idea a lot of a player trying to "outsmart" the developer while they try to fix the game, I'd like to see how this idea could be developed further. The visuals and mechanics felt pretty polished too.

Unstable Volcano by Itskdog 2021-10-10T18:39:59Z

I thought the game was well designed! I liked building up a lot of units. My suggestion would be to make buildings more expensive each time you build one, because once I got enough villagers I had way too many resources (but I also played on easy because I'm generally bad at rts's). Good game loop for the jam length though!

Dragon's Odyssey by morcado 2021-10-08T06:58:45Z

I liked the animations and sprites a lot. I had trouble making the jumps to get the collectibles, I think the movement could use some tweaking. Good job though!

Alchemysterious by PatateNouille 2021-10-20T23:42:54Z

I was having trouble interacting with objects properly in the jam build. I could tell you put a lot of effort into the systems and it looked polished visually. Maybe just a bit too much scope for the jam length! Props for reworking it though, the updated build looked very nice, gives me an elder scrolls vibe with the appearance.

Alchemysterious by PatateNouille 2021-10-21T00:09:12Z

I didn't get much farther than mining rocks and carrying them around, I'm pretty rubbish at figuring out puzzles honestly so I just kind of explored the environment xD

Horse Pile by Big Play Ben 2021-10-07T20:06:36Z

Well that certainly was a horse pile game! Funny game idea, I definitely felt like it captured the theme "unstable" xD

Floemobile by DecrementedPalindrome 2021-10-21T00:19:18Z

Fun game! I thought it was fun driving around on the more smooth areas but when it got bumpy on the water part I kept spinning out, not sure if that was intentional. Great work overall though.

Rocket C h a o s by Juanv 2021-10-20T20:48:59Z

I liked the visuals and music a lot, controls were very iffy though like others are saying. I think with some polish on controls and more variety of objects/increasing difficulty it would be more fun, it was a solid base though.

Stable Table by Diana Asadova 2021-10-20T19:50:35Z

Pretty straightforward game, I felt like it wasn't very interactive since the objects just kind of fell into place neatly every time you press space. I think it could be better if you had to manually place them. Nice visuals though.

This Is A Stable Game by crotonyl_alcohol 2021-10-08T06:26:47Z

Good game, I didn't expect it to be sort of a puzzle platformer going into it but it was a welcome surprise. Simple premise but I think the levels were designed well and the dialogue was funny. Good job!

A Towering Climb by Hefka 2021-10-07T20:56:38Z

I like what you were going for. I would have maybe preferred fewer levels with more variety in mechanics, rather than a large number of levels that feel more similar. Good job overall!

Unstable Valley by ericbomb 2021-10-06T05:38:37Z

Very interesting idea, I've heard of audio-only games but haven't tried one before now!

I think my main problem was having a hard time understanding the state of the game like others said, I would try to obtain some gold but then the game just announces what the enemy has, so I'm not sure if I successfully obtained it. I think some more SFX for audio clarity on the success of your actions could help maybe?

Still though, a very ambitious idea and bonus points for accessibility :)

Horse To Home by tims 2021-10-06T07:37:54Z

Silly game! Not much depth there but it certainly fits the theme xD

Inertia by cabbageslices 2021-10-07T20:46:03Z

Seems cool visually and I like the music too. I was having a hard time testing it since I wasn't sure how to add in p2 but from the video it looks like a neat concept.

Crystal Town by Lucy Lu 2021-10-09T22:15:44Z

Congrats on your first game :) There were almost too many crystals, I got stuck at 47/50 and couldn't find more, maybe a mini map could help. I like that you added some quests too to mix it up. Graphics were great also and were the highlight for me, the sprites reminded me of Stardew. Great job!

Life on Cards by Lumbigui 2021-10-06T05:53:38Z

I like the style of the game and the graphics are very nice. Feels very polished for a jam game! The only thing I'd want is maybe a score counter of how many cards you got through before you lose.

The Trials Of Yoltic by Antom 2021-10-06T03:19:02Z

Liked the feel of the game, good choice on the art and music! Liked the variety of platforms. I would prefer a bit more snappy controls for controlling the character. I thought it was fun though overall.

Fractured Space by JesusOnWheels 2021-10-09T21:44:33Z

Love a nice casual game! I liked the art a lot and it was satisfying picking things up. I think I'd have preferred if you just lost some of the objects when you got hit rather than all of them - though I guess that it doesn't matter too much to the overall goal. Good job overall!

Castle of Chaos by almightyzentaco 2021-10-09T22:41:07Z

Difficult, but polished feeling game! It's impressive that you even implemented stuff like parallax and all the animations in the amount of time you had. Good job!

Unstable Core by Fluorescent 2021-10-09T21:26:17Z

Liked the idea, the UI was a bit cluttered so I had a hard time figuring out the objective. The systems you made seem to work well though. Remember that simplicity is key! Good job for a first game jam.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Garbage Collector Simulator by wdebowicz 2022-04-15T22:16:50Z

This is interesting, could be used as a good teaching tool even though I'm not sure how much I'd consider it a game. Good work!

Live For Later Or Live For Now by khaotom 2022-04-15T23:17:15Z

Very surreal feeling game but also interesting, I like that it looped endlessly and makes you think about all the ways your day can go depending on each choice you make. Good work!

Slingshot Probe by quadtree 2022-04-15T23:51:03Z

Fun game, I liked the thruster mechanic though it took me some time to get used to. Maybe some indicator of a boost besides that trajectory line might help for visual feedback?

Rockmageddon by hunttis 2022-04-15T23:31:48Z

Loved it, core gameplay worked well and a funny (and dark) premise. It was kind of sad at the end when the asteroids got so fast that there was basically nothing to do but watch.

Calcarus I by oller125 2022-04-15T21:43:31Z

I liked the story! I'm not sure if it was intended that it felt too hard to make decisions since the war was inevitable, but it felt like it was hard to tell what the right thing to say was since it took me only making the Cephalons mad twice for me to get game over. I think a rewind feature would make it nice to continue through the story without having to replay it from the start if you make a mistake. Good work overall.

Pyramid defense by Maskrosen 2022-04-15T23:06:08Z

Interesting that it was a tower defense game but a single tower. I felt the progression was pretty slow, it made it hard to buy things because everything got more expensive if you got any upgrade. Maybe if it only made the one you bought more expensive it would be better, but balance would probably have to be adjusted. Good work!

Tin Can by Hiku 2022-04-15T23:39:27Z

I liked the graphics and it seemed like a cool concept, just needed more instructions on what I should be doing I think. I was unclear also how the eggs worked, maybe if there was a way to spend resources to buy eggs it could be interesting? Good job overall!

ORANGE ROLL 🍊 by Yokin 2022-04-10T06:25:56Z

I liked the movement that you made, I was just a little unclear as to what caused your orange to explode sometimes. I think with some more clarity/some kind of tutorial it would be great, it feels like you have a good base to a game.

The End? by michaelaranda 2022-04-15T23:11:16Z

Cool game! The mental struggle of controlling two characters at once is quite challenging though! But it is a really unique idea, I think maybe with some more intuitive control scheme it would be even better.

Hotel Lazarus by sacredbacon 2022-04-11T05:00:46Z

Seems like a well fleshed out game especially for a compo one! I liked the game loop though I was unclear what the purpose of different types of rooms were.

Bomb Threat by Lychee 2022-04-05T04:08:28Z

@teenythanos Thanks for playing! I actually wanted to have closer to 6-8 puzzles but time got the best of me unfortunately. I agree on the balance also, I think the game is pretty easy as is.

Bomb Threat by Lychee 2022-04-10T18:33:07Z

Thank you for the feedback everyone! I think I have ideas of what I would fix if I made a second build after the jam, mainly having more puzzles and shortening the time you gain as you solve more puzzles.

And yeah @olimarrex that was a bug that I didn't catch until after I uploaded :( I'm not sure what causes it honestly but it's definitely not intended.

Herbert vs Homework by Str8griz 2022-04-07T04:01:50Z

Loved the graphics! I was kind of confused why the distractions included a chef and a butt, haha. It was fun, felt pretty polished for a game jam game!

The Death Pit Will Have You! by Uraffululz 2022-04-15T23:21:40Z

Cool game, reminds me of something that could be like a Mario Party minigame. I like that it's sort of resource management where the more ground you lose, the less chance you have of picking up the tiles to replace missing ones. Good job!

Fated Fantasy by algodoogle 2022-04-10T20:52:09Z

Wow this game was a lot of fun and had a good amount of depth! The progression is pretty slow at the start but I like how you can start to stack an insane number of upgrades to shoot really fast. The only thing that felt unfair was the bosses were just so fast, that if you don't have enough movement speed there's no way to get away from them and it just kind of guarantees your failure. I think with some more balance you have a really solid game here.

Department Of Demise by Crychair 2022-04-05T04:21:47Z

Loved the art and sound design on this one. The game loop was fairly straightforward but the humor and presentation really made it shine! I laughed when I saw that someone died because they stubbed their toe and it was enough to kill them, haha.

Last Life by Bloodbane 2022-04-15T22:52:23Z

I liked the menu, so many options! Others have mentioned this but having the level end after you complete the objective rather than waiting for the time would help to speed up the game.

Banana-Man-Joe Sr. by Jerem Watts 2022-04-10T06:17:56Z

Loved the graphics and voice acting, game looked pretty and it was funny too! I couldn't tell but I don't think that you took any damage from being hit so there wasn't much challenge. For the jam length it felt pretty solid overall!

Mr. Fuse by Praccen 2022-04-10T06:09:27Z

I think the idea was interesting, I kept having the bomb get stuck though and not being able to get it off the ground, maybe a way to like kick the bomb upwards might be nice? Visuals looked nice also!

Desert trip by Dreamerflow 2022-04-15T22:59:29Z

The game loaded very slowly, but when I loaded it I couldn't see anything unfortunately. I liked the animations on the main menu at least.

Life of an Intern by Dactarium 2022-04-15T23:26:59Z

Pretty straightforward game idea but it's impressive you were able to build the scene with so many people in the amount of time! I thought it was funny that you were like a stand-in for the grim reaper and just look like some normal dude.

Volcanic Dash by tested 2022-04-10T06:33:35Z

Good work for a first jam! I think like others were saying the movement was tied to framerate so at my framerate the jumps were impossible to make. There is a bug where you can jump off the lava if you time it right though, so I was able to progress some at least.

Delirious Descent by Cronno 2022-04-10T06:00:49Z

Simple game but good work for a compo. I liked that you had the boost mechanic to change trajectory quickly but maybe could have used some other ways to change your descent too?

Wally's Jump by Legofan0807 2022-04-15T21:28:50Z

Cool game! I liked the level phases, I wasn't able to get past the 700's but I liked the way it felt especially in the time you had to make it.

Magma Climb by Aldebaram 2022-04-10T06:04:24Z

Cool game, I like the idea of an endless climber and I like that there were pickups to get so you had extra stuff to do besides just surviving. I felt some of the configurations made it really hard to get by without taking damage, but the auto-generation felt pretty smooth other than that. Good job!

LD53 — Delivery

Santa's Slip Up by Johnsensei 2023-05-04T05:46:38Z

Simple idea but I think you executed it well, it's pretty cool that you managed to make it a mobile game too, played well on my phone!

QWOPcopter by Bytomancer 2023-05-05T03:58:16Z

It was quite frustrating but I guess that's the idea! Good sound design also.

RocketBox! by Lascif 2023-05-02T17:59:26Z

Simple concept but executed well and the leaderboard made it a fun challenge to get in quickly and carefully. Good job!

Crabload of Shells by mitur 2023-05-03T06:30:25Z

Really cute pixel art! I was surprised when more seagulls came in also, it was a cool ramp-up to the difficulty. Sometimes the shells would spawn on top of me was my only issue. Great job overall :)

Boxtorio by JoshuaBounds 2023-05-03T06:00:24Z

It took me a bit to figure out what was going on, but after some messing around it looks like a cool system, very impressive you were able to set this up during the jam time!

the postBIRB by LarsieVL 2023-05-03T05:50:21Z

Congrats on finishing your first jam! Simple idea but it ran smoothly and played well start to finish.

Solar Eclipse by Luxiffre 2023-05-05T04:41:24Z

This is great! I like the controls a lot, they feel simple but they have a lot of depth with the movement you can do. Nice art style also. Good job!

Delivery G.U.I. by JpBaraky 2023-05-03T07:36:41Z

Cool game! I think the deliveries were a touch too far, it would have been nice if there were more destinations throughout or like a quick way to return to start maybe? I loved the way this game looked though, very nice and chill.

Bunpacking by Chailotl 2023-05-04T07:58:15Z

Cute game, you can definitely outmaneuver the ai but it gets kind of crazy when there are a bunch of them. Love the art! :)

Wicked Postage by KhaoKG 2023-05-03T17:31:56Z

@larsievl Yes the manual was going to be a thing for more complicated mail deliveries but it ended up getting cut for time.

@aghoulprince For some reason our mouse sensitivity on webgl was way higher than on the exe, sorry about that!

@bmanstudio You die if you have 3 "failures" at any point, we didn't make it super clear though

Thank you all for the feedback!
