the gameplay is pretty nice.
Really neat graphical style and parkour mechanics
This game needs more ratings!
I really liked the graphics and audio of this game. The cursor confused me for a bit, it looked like a tiny bird or something. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Really fun little game. You need to rate other people's games in order to get your game bumped up higher
@james-joubert - Yip I'm going to start rating other peoples games today, today is the first opportunity I got since the game jam ended. Now let me see witch of them are first!
I like games like this one, but I obviously don't like the color palette of the levels, parkour is a good idea and as a gameplay for many users it comes in, but it will be difficult for the initial user to pass the level, even the very first
Good game! Really nice artstyle. Although without the readme I had no idea about the grapple wihch made the game way more boring than it actually is. A simple UI with the controls would do this game wonders! otherwise it's good for a first
Good puzzle, very clear gameplay, mechanics and puzzles themselves
@curly Yes the game mechanics are for a more experienced audience like us, I could not carry the color over from blender to Godot, I still need allot of practice and knowledge to do it effectively I think. Thanks for the review!
@malte-hedenstrom Thanks for the feedback, next time I hope to plan out my project better to allow for more information carry over to the players. That reminds my I need to update the description to give more info. Thank you for the advice.
Description Updated
I played this game and yeah, there are some bugs or things like that but it s a gamejam so those are to be expected, but man was this game a refreshing. Art wise, the game has almost basic 3d structures, the colors are on point for the game but not something to write home about, but the music, the music is just the cherry on top of the cherry. It s really on point and it s so nice and feels like it fits the game somehow so good. It s really nice game with a really nice mood and atmosphere. I repeat, the music really made the game feel a lot better. Cheers and have fun creating games. You really did something nice here.
Good stuff
Game killed my Google Chrome twice :( when I chose "Enter loop"
@evgeniya-zapolnova wonder why it's doing that, have you tried running the win build assuming you are running windows? Thanks for trying to have a play I still appreciate the effort.
@zepimppotatoe Thank you very much for the kind words on the music side, I'm very happy you enjoyed it thanks for the play through!
@snycent Thanks my man I appreciate that you had a look at our game and enjoyed it!
@indieronin maybe the game has something against Google :) No, I didn't run it. Maybe I will steal my husband's laptop later :)
Took me a while to figure out that you can hold E to stick to structures!
Nice gameplay, I would have liked a little more colors
@evgeniya-zapolnova Thank for the effort!
@flazone Thanks man feels good getting a compliment from you, the game you guys made was very fun and well rounded!
The movement felt good, I think with some polish you have a nice movement system here to work with! I wasn't clear if there was an end goal exactly, and you mentioned also in the description but it would be nice if there was an indicator for when the grapple will work. Solid entry overall though!
> Game killed my Google Chrome twice :( when I chose “Enter loop”
Same for me :-(
I got it to start with Firefox, but then the camera was stuck upwards and not responding to the mouse. Too bad, this game looked very promising!
Enjoyed this game, despite some elements which were challenging. With some player feedback/juice this could be an interesting game. Played through about 5 rooms but got stuck. Had fun, nice job!
Fun to play, but very hard to navigate (at least for me) although some sound feedback would fix the issue.
@lychee I agree I need feedback for a few things, the grapple line and where its hooked, when you can use the grapple and a count down or warning before the orb teleports you.
@ace17 I tested on my Firefox and it worked fine. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, honestly I have no clue as to where I should even start to fix a bug like this to be honest.
@haustgeirr Thanks for the play through
@vrerabek I appreciate the feedback, could you elaborate on sound feedback and how you found it hard to navigate?
Game is not running on my Firefox. First the screen is all cropped and when I choose Enter Loop, it gets stuck. Web build definitely needs to be tested again. Would have loved to play and rate this game.
Found you on the Danger section.. your only .25 ratings away from 20.. So here ya go.. Now you can rank!
@anant-ahuja Sorry man I'm checking the build settings but I can't see anything specifically wrong on that side and tested it on my Firefox again and its still working.
@spawncampgames Thank my man, how was the game for you? any feedback or improvements?
I had problems with webGl build and a little confusing at the start to figure everything out but that might have been my fault for not reading everything.. it was pretty fun.. with a little polish and some sounds it would be solid.
@spawncampgames Thanks for the feedback and testing it out.
Wow, the music track in this is great. Really sets a mysterious yet progressive tone.
I also liked the graphicaly style of the surfaces, minimal yet defined. Like others have said, I wished there was a bit more colour on the surfaces, this would have helped me orientate myself in the alien landscape. I see this is on your todo list :)
Movement wise, I found myself spamming the grapple key a lot. Both to reach places and to backtrack. I know you want to indicate grapple point better, but I also wonder if it's worth adding a cooldown on the grapple so that I'm being more strategic about timing and placement.
@ashashza Thanks for playing it and the feedback, I never even thought about a cool down for the grapple that's a good idea thanks. the colors I can understand it also feels monotone I just didn't have enough time to convert it properly from Blender to Godot.
nice way of tackling the them. I'd love to see the grapple model/graphics, that'd be a pleasure to see
Clever trick with the ending. I have to admit, I have explored every crack in the cube, even fell through the geometry once ;). Nice mood thanks to the soundtrack! I think, graphics could use a bit of darker tones to amplify mystery, maybe some glow around cracks. I enjoyed movement mechanics when I got... hmm... a hang of it? ;). Nice to see a 3D game made in Godot. Well done!
EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to mention - Linux build ran well for me!
@civmaniac Sweet thanks for the feedback my man, lol yip a 3D Godot game made in a Arch Linux distro! I agree I so wanted to update the graphics before upload but there was just no time. Thanks for the compliment on the music.
Had problems with WebGL (super low framerate, cannot do fullscreen). Downloaded the windows build, I didn't realize I can do a grapple until I came back to the description. I was holding shift all the time as for me it didn't make sense to not run ;x Would be great to see the grapple range.
I liked the mysterious pillar at the start and the modelling style in general, but I wish that this demo would me teach / introduce the mechanics a little better. I gave up in the room where I had to grapple trough the ceiling, it was too difficult for me.
Props for using godot!
This game stands out among most other entries I've played. I am actually a fan of the visuals and color scheme and the music is just absolutely on point. It fits the game so well and brings a lot of mood to it. I personally found the grappling a little clunky and difficult to master. There's not quite enough feedback from the game to know if I can grapple something or if I am even currently grappling. In any case, it's a great entry! I couldn't really find the "win condition" but it was a fun playground to zip around and explore. Really well done!
@aerloth Thanks for the play through I appreciate it allot, it was a great learning curve using Godot for my first ever 3D game and it was fun. The grapple did need allot of reworking and added feedback but it did work. @diego-escalante I'm happy you enjoyed it, you are right there is allot of feedback needed from the grapple and indication of distance, the grapple line is in the build but disabled I couldn't get it working well enough to enter it into the last build. The win condition is in the readme :)
