The controls or the ship were pretty enjoyable to mess around with.
I was content with the game just being the terminal section but then there was a whole other part. I had trouble with the sensitivity but it almost added to the challenge and I became determined to beat it. The 1 hit kill factor made it easy to build up the motivation to continue till you won. My favorite game thus far, well done!
Cool to see the stream (: This was sooo well done, the music was what really made it for me, 10/10
I was surprised at how much I did enjoy this. I didn't have a controller so I made do with a keyboard for as long as I could but when I reached the block that I needed to break I was unable to destroy it.
The character felt nice to move around and the music and few sound effects tied it all together. I was really eager to get continue but anyway well done and thanks for the fun :D
Really pretty art and loved the animations. I enjoy clicker puzzle games and the subtle xylophone start indicator was challenging to find but felt good once you got it (: awesome job
CONTRATULATIONS!
Marry me
Hmmm didn't manage to figure the game out. The text often overlapped so I was unable to read it and my planets kept getting shot by scientists. My brain is too small for this. I did enjoy spreading happy magic tho.
Idk what just happened but there was a few laughs (:
Solving the puzzles actually took thought and mostly were able to be solved in more than 1 arrangement. I enjoyed this (:
The music was really well done and added a lot to the mood. I found myself just getting lost often and it became a mass trial and error experiment. Nice entry (:
Enjoyable quick puzzle. Really interested concept.
Hmmmst, controls didn't work :( I wasn't able to jump or attack so I was stuck. Music was nice tho
@tohubohu There is definitely a worth while surprise for not collecting 3 :P
@fireslash Everything you said is 100% accurate lol. Story mode was a last day pivot attempt after we realized the initial core (now arcade mode) was a complete mess. Here at buggy games studio we believe in quantity over quality. A 2 for 1 special amirite!
@skyeward @purrseus @oceanm Glad you enjoyed the mess of a story we threw together at 3am, thanks! (:
@inferture Thanks! Arcade mode does work but only if you first figure out the puzzle of how to play it. We didn't want to insult any of our players intelligence by providing them instructions on how it worked but would instead let them prove to the world they have big brains by figuring it out themselves. It definitely wasn't due to us running out of time and not implementing proper instructions.
Arcade mode SPOILERS: - There is a grid which you can build your tiles on (using either cannons or walls) - You can upgrade walls and cannons - You lose when all of your cannons are destroyed and conversely win if you destroy all the enemy cannons - You cannons also won't fire if there is a tile directly in front of them - Your cannons shoot towards your mouse pointer - Your cannons are capable of destroying your own tiles - Tiles also break if they fall from too high
The intro... give me more!
The contrast between the intro and the game was quite surprising but I had fun doing my part for the planet and planting trees. For a long while I was rapidly clicking the fast forward button not realizing that it's actually better to hold it, fml. My trees sorta just caught on fire and bugs rekt my stuff but before I closed the game I had to go back and watch the intro again.
10/10 would play intro again
Great choice in music and sounds! 10/10 for art, really nice and all the animations added so much to the game. Nice job!
I saw your blog post and thought the post was really wholesome so wanted to give your game ago. Turns out you're actually evil and prey on peoples OCD. You think I have self control? There is no way I could leave without fully colouring the whole area. Really wish I read the tips first because I didn't even realize you could upgrade the suns power till much later so I tried to plant grass over the entire map using a very lack luster sun. Never the less the world is now green and beautiful. I tried to make some pictures out of the flowers but the random nature of their growth made it a little difficult. Loved this tho and is my highest rated game thus far, thank you!
