What part of this game has you starting with nothing? also the time between start and flag 1 is ages i would suggest shortening that considerably or removing one of the flags all together and just have the first flag the start of the game

Hey, Nice dynamic. What is the goal of this game ?
Hi ! Cool little game ! If you have time, just recolor your bird/background to avoid getting a black sprite on black background. Also cap the height your plane can reach to screen borders. It should be an easy fix for a great improvement.
here's answers to questions: * "starting with nothing" is obviously the sign with "start" in it, in such way that the start section has no enemies, i.e. there's nothing to do * bird and background colour issue might be more serious issues with collision detection and invisible birds. I.e. it's now using flappy bird style collision detection with y-coordinate of plane matched against range of allowed values in certain timestamps. That's kinda bad way to do it since there's no way to add bullets or anything like that, if collision works like that.
ok, guess we now have bullets implemented.

I think it's actually a pretty nice relaxing game ^^ Though, I would have loved some music in the background ! It reminded me a kind of road trip game, but on a plane :D The controls you chose are interesting, so I got used to them pretty fast. At first I didn't understand that birds were "enemies", but after my first death I got it right.
Your plane model was actually pretty cool, I liked it ! :)
Good job !

Nicely done. I like the movement of the plane, feels very smooth. The birds should be more substantial to better distinguish them from the background. Not sure, what you need bullets for :-)
I wish there was a potential rating because I think this game has a lot of promise. The style/graphics is the best part and feels very unique. The controls need a little bit of work as they feel a bit slow, but it is cool the way the plane rebalances itself flat. I saw that you added bullets, do they have any affect? The game also ended abruptly for no obvious reason - is there a natural end? Nice effort!
I kinda like the way the airplane moves. Also interested material choice for the airplane :D goodjob but it needs more polish to be enjoyable. Goodluck!

A game that works, with a pretty nice 3d movement! Here are the feedback I can give if you had more time to polish: - I can't see the birds clearly enough and they don't look too much like a lose condition. I really like the overall color palette but these birds deserve to stand out IMHO - More "juice": speed would be a good start, some (even cheap) sounds could be nice too - Maybe adding collectibles could have created an increased challenge for players who desire to get the most out of this game
I won't pretend these should have been implemented, I just provide my opinion. Overall and again, good job for having a working game with multiple levels!
Sorry about not providing sound/music support. (there was technical problems with the emscripten environment and I couldn't get sounds working on time - basically it would require downgrading to old version of emscripten and I'm not too happy to do that for LD) (the exact problem was that the sound routines crash when used with pthreads, related to recent shared array buffer usage)
Nice little game. I like the scrolling background effect. Not a big fan of the model used for the plane but not like I could do any better so I commend you for trying where I wouldn't have. I noticed that if you go from stationary to tilting for a second, let go, then hold that directional button again, you move in that direction but the animation goes to idle. Looks like what's happening is when you let go of a movement button, you are telling the game to go back to idle but when you press a button, it needs to interrupt that animation. I didn't let this affect my vote though. Just thought you might want to know. Maybe you can go back and make changes and learn from it :) Good job on the game!

i love it, so minimalistic!
Love the look, and was surprised (and delighted) when the plane was in 3D! The up and down has a nice "feel" to it.
For once I did not understand he asks me to restart at flag 1 but I do not see what I need to do it lacks a little feedback I think to understand ... By cons movement is super cool
The Plane looks great - really like that wooden style.
An interesting depressive game, as if about the end of the world) I liked it!
Dammit, I slept through the jam deadline; had planned one more feature to the game, but guess that wont be developed when the deadline is over :(. But guess bullets without collisions are still fun to watch.

Pretty. Too bad it ended so soon.
I like the plane model and the parallax effect in the background.

The movement of the plane was quite interesting here. The gameplay could have used a bit more work
Here's a short video of a playthrough of the game if you are interested!

great fun for a minimalist game matches well to the theme good work
That's a pretty cool demo! Love the smoothness in the 3d animation! Gameplay was quite minimalist but definitely fits the theme well :) Great job!

I think minimalism can work. It almost does here. I echo previous reviews that the enemies (birds) should be with different color. Having some attention color to make them pop-up from the background would be nice. Smooth movement is nice and diving up and down feels nice. However instead of dying when you hit top or bottom, maybe there could be just collider to block player?
I ended up flying forward until I died to what could have been invisible enemy. Maybe there is a bug?
Game's theme is desert and you fly an old plane. I think this setting is an opportunity to explore something interesting like WW1 and add some variation to the enemies.
Hope this feedback helps. Good luck!
The paralax scrolling is my favorite part. The bullets have nice velocity. Everything else feels a bit slower.

The plane movement was super intresting, super weird and super clunky at the same time, it deserves more love... but there is something in it thats just awesome! the game itself feels meh... some "juice" would be nice like: simple sounds, more speed, death animation with screenshake etc... bullet speed was nice but they didn't felt strong and impactful... once again: some sound, additional effects like particles, knockback etc.
The controls or the ship were pretty enjoyable to mess around with.
Ways to improve: - Birds colorcoding - cant see some of them on background. - Probably there should be something to shoot at...
