[Small bug fix] The sensitivity was too high on later levels because I forgot to apply prefab with small camera change. It's fix now.

i don't know if jumping off the stairs was the correct choice on the second one but it worked. Speaking of which I actually did get hit aiming downwards on the stairs but the ball just stopped and didn't continue. However aiming at the "me" above me worked.

It was quite fun and sounded nice too so good job there.

@akmon Totally understandable, it's weird a concept to wrap your mind around. For hint, try shooting a ball through the door and then getting that ball to hit you on the otherside... or I guess same side lol ;)

the .zip file was listed as a dangerous file you might want to check that and try to solve that since that will stop alot of scared people from downloading it

Super nice conzept :D After you know what to do the lvls are pretty easy. I would love to see more and with some more mechanics. :D A point in the middle of the game would have helped to aim :)

Really cool game. I found the movement to be a little slow though. The character would continue to move for a half second or so after I released the movement key, which made some of the challenges difficult. Overall, great job!

nicely done. I like the non-euclidican space concept. The lag in awsd controls made it tough to get ball to git you. Had fun

Interesting puzzle idea, I didn't read the description so I didn't get that you needed to hit yourself at first, but after I did it made more sense. I liked the music, gave me a bit of a portal vibe. It's impressive how you were able to get the level to loop so smoothly also, good job!

Finished the levels! As others have said, kind of unnerving to see yourself walk up to you but very cool! As a note, I'm attaching a visual of a bug I had in level 2. If you land on a bullet while falling and shoot a bullet at the bullet, hitting yourself, you don't land on the ground or transition to level 3. It's a very specific situation and honestly it was really funny. Other than that, really enjoyed it!! impossible room.png

Hello. I downloaded your project with curiosity because I did a game more or less similar with yours - a game with portals. I liked what you did in less than a few days. However I noticed some glitches when I pass through portal and there is no recursivity. I guess that with more time you could improve your game with more features. Take a look at an interesting portal game which has been created for the 47th Ludumdare. It is named Enclosed - its portal mechanic is smooth. Also you can test mine. I wish you the best ++

@conneli Thanks for posting the bug. Yea the stair level gave a lot of issues when I implemented it. I'll look into after the game jam to see if I can make it more consistent.

@geckoo1337 Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out for help(god knows I need it). I relied heavily on Sebastian Leagues YouTube video on portals implementation, but I had to improvise some stuff for URP. For example, URP doesn't support recursive rendering for a single camera, so I'm gonna try using a sorta multicamera chain to achieve recursively.

Fun game with cool puzzles. Only negative was how some of the puzzles break the illusion of infinite loop. Still great game! Keep it up!

Ok, this game is really well implemented and I like the idea. It took me a while to figure out the first puzzle but it was fun :)

You might wanna lower the explosion sound at the end of the level, it's a bit too loud.

Couldn't tell it was made during a Ludum Dare. great job! :)

Something about falling down the stair case was peaceful.. I think the controller could be a little less sensitive. Good job tho.

I enjoyed playing through this, although I do wish it was a little longer. It's better to have a short but polished game as opposed to a slightly longer and unpolished one, and this certainly fits the first description, short and sweet. The first puzzle worked very well, but the later puzzles were slightly choppy in some way, be it through the player teleporting after hitting themself, and/or the "hit" player model acting strangely near where it seemed the level would "repeat". The last puzzle in particular I don't believe I actually finished correctly, I just barely shot the player at some tricky angle near where you start, and if this is how you actually complete it then it feels very messy, or rushed, which is understandable.

Maybe some "fog" of sort could have helped alleviate some of the graphical oddities, especially in the 4th and 2nd level where the level had to iterate drawing itself more than once. Other than that, I liked the concept, although I am curious what the purpose of the torus was in the first level. :laughing:

This was a extremely fun game, would've like a crosshair to help with the aiming but I guess that's part of the challenge, good graphics and concept! some improved character models and extra levels, and this game can rival C.U.B.E.D easily

@squeed-fingars Thanks for the comment! Fog is definitely a good idea. I'm working right now on getting the repeating to be seamless, I ran out of time for the jam. The torus in the first room was placed to act as a landmark to show players it's the same room, and I made it rotate cuase it was fun trying to shoot a ball through the center.

A curious and confusing little title. It took me a minute to realize that this was a perspective based game when I opened the door and turned around to see myself.

After that, the game was relatively simple, just analyze where a projectile goes in the world and align your character to it at the right time.

This is definitely one of the most unique takes on the loop theme that I've seen so far. It was a bit trippy, but a blast to play. It put a smile on my face.

Great entry! I'll be curious to see how you expand upon it.

This is an awesome game! Definitely one of my favorite entries. These kinds of non-Euclidean (if that's the right term) games are always super interesting! And it's certainly a nice take on the theme.

If I'm going to be honest though I feel like maybe the first level is actually harder than level 4? I could be wrong here, but in level 4 I could actually see myself and could just aim and shoot directly. Level 3 also seemed easy but I don't necessarily think it's easier than level 1. Hard to say.

I think an introductory level that was just a repeating hallway could be nice. That way it's immediate and obvious what you have to do--it took me a little bit of thinking to figure it out on level 1. Although, on the other hand, having one of the puzzles be to literally figure out the objective of the game is fun and interesting in its own right. :smile:

Either way, I did love level 2. I literally said "nice" once I figured it out because it was so satisfying.

One small note is I was initially somewhat annoyed by the choice of splat sound effect for the gun... although I did get used to it pretty quickly.

So yeah! Great entry! :smile:

Hey very nice game. The loop idea is perfect in here. The stairs level was really cool! For some reason, I got very creeped out by myself walking to me :smile:
