Those graphics are fantastic, I'm astounded that you did them over the weekend!

karsinis 2021-10-05 01:12

Awesome game! I love the dancing vegetation and the art style. Very solid little game for such a short development period! This is one of my favorites I have seen today.

shade2810 2021-10-05 07:19

I played this game quite abit! I have to say the artstyle was just super cute. A very solid game in 72 hours. I think for me, it sorta reminds me of one of my childhood game (which i can't seem to find the name off) but anyway.. I really love the whole set! It's really really good!

iori-branford 2021-10-05 07:25

Really great first game! An idea for future expansion is to make remaining crystals glow brighter as you collect more, until you can see the last ones from almost anywhere.

metalboyrick 2021-10-05 07:52

Fantastic graphics, very outstanding that you guys did it over the weekend! Needs much polishing but we all know that the deadline is a real thing! One suggestion from me is perhaps the addition of some sort of hint, since some of the crystals are really challenging to find! Good job!

cakts 2021-10-05 08:05

Awesome game and I'm glad you were able to successfully funnel your creative vision into this game in such a short time. Great stuff :D

ollieoa 2021-10-05 09:48

Great work on the art! Clearly playing to your strengths here. Was nice and chill, and a nice little exploration game.

3mpty 2021-10-05 09:49

Really cute exploration game, impressive to get it fully complete in time! I'd like to see maybe a little more mechanically, perhaps a minigame or two to make collecting all the fragments a little more varied than pure exploration, I'd also recommend lowering the requirement to 95% of the shards, so you dont get stuck on the last one searching forever.

Overall really good work for a first time, huge volumes of art and a fully fleshed out explorable world is really cool to see!

adamjn 2021-10-05 11:04

Really loved the graphics in this game, Amazing pixel art and a fun but simple concept that matched the theme nicely. Would be better with more story I think but Maybe Crystal town 2 will come with that ;) Great entry!

erikengineengineer 2021-10-05 11:42

Hey Lucy and Simon! Nice game to play and enjoy!

xschaumix 2021-10-05 14:18

Awesome game with gorgeous graphics, it must have been a lot of work! A really good job!

0x-void-x0 2021-10-05 17:05

you know what ? this is pretty fun, it feels like the characters were inspired by stardew valley is that true? anyway the little dancing animation of plants the characters the envirement, it's really good, I really liked the art style and gameplay as well, give yourself a pat on the back my dude this was a success in my opinion

lucy-lu 2021-10-05 17:29

@0x-void-x0 Yes, the character and NPCs are Stardew Valley inspired. Thank you for Such nice Feedback:heart:

chillertyp 2021-10-06 03:19

This looks a little bit freakin' awesome...! Reminds me of Stardew Valley.

sofimei 2021-10-06 03:27

Wow!! This looks fantastic for you guy’s first game! Congratulations! I can see you used good techniques with the art like re-coloring the same sprites to fill up the environment and still keep the look fresh. I can relate to being amazed at your art being implemented into a game for the first time ~ I’ve participated as an artist in Ludum Dare twice and those are the only two games I’ve ever worked on XD It still is so cool seeing everything come to life in a world u can play and share with other people. Great job!

notanimposter 2021-10-06 04:07

I love the art! And the vibe is so eerie. The juxtaposition of a world that seems to be in a collapsing state with the chill atmosphere that felt like never-ending peace.

zapturk 2021-10-06 04:16

I love the art and the eerie setting.

prismapunch 2021-10-06 04:26

The game was fun, I liked having different quests and finding all the crystals, some were in quite challenging locations!

jpatchz 2021-10-06 04:26

Congratulations! It's very cute and the mood feels awesome! I hope to see more games from you guys in the future.

lynnaira 2021-10-06 04:31

very cute art and music! the pieces were challenging to find, but do-able! the sound effects were a little bit loud for me though. great work, especially for a first game!

falawiska 2021-10-06 12:00

A few more crystals would not have been bad, I had to search for the last crystal for a long time. But I enjoyed the environment as I walk through the village. Cool game!

coderaurus 2021-10-06 15:17

Nice exploration game you got here. For your first game you made the world quite big and finished the game as well. Good job! I especially like the swaying trees. Lowering the total shard requirement is a good idea. I got to 49 and started to worry where in the world the last one is... Lucky me, it was nearby. A mini map could also be a nice addition.

trexxak 2021-10-06 19:35

Welcome to Ludum Dare and the world of Game Jams, you two :)

I think what you managed to do for your first game is quite impressive - that is finding fitting scope to actually make the game achieve all its goals in the given timeframe! I also didn't expect a collection game when starting it up, which was a refreshing surprise :D

grigri-games 2021-10-07 10:37

cool game ! really liked the cute and colorful art :) keep it up !

stroe-andrew 2021-10-07 11:18

Very cool and nice entry. The ArtStyle is lovely, reminds me of Stardew Valley. Absolutely in love with it.

Also, for being your first LudumDare this is impressive. Congrats.

jan5366x 2021-10-07 11:30

Nice game and art style ... the tree animations are very basic but add a lot. Good job and hearth warming background, I wish you many more successful game jams together.

joeshanahan 2021-10-07 11:52

I've played enough Stardew Valley to recognise the inspiration here! Great job on your first jam, hope there's many more to come! :tada:

oliver-richmeier 2021-10-07 12:09

Fantastic art, and the world is pretty big! I love the dissonance between the relaxed atmosphere of the exploration and the terror of everyone in the town

megamasterx 2021-10-07 12:19

Congratulations on your first entry! It's an incredible experience and so is your game! I'm pretty impressed with how much content is in here, exploring is a treat and its a surprisingly well crafted and fleshed out world. Well done.

gaming-night 2021-10-07 12:21

Great entry. I gave up the search for the last crystal but I liked to discover your world

Such an overachiever! (Or didn't read the instructions ... ) Great job, I really enjoyed saving the world again! Thanks for letting me play.

r3l0ad1 2021-10-07 18:19

Nice game! The graphics are great and it is fun to explore around. great work!

purrseus 2021-10-09 15:23

You created a really cute world with an awesome style here. I especially like the palette! Sadly, I did not finish the game, I was missing just one piece, but after walking around the whole map 3 times I just gave up. Still, I am amazed how fun it could be to "just" walk around!

lychee 2021-10-09 22:15

Congrats on your first game :) There were almost too many crystals, I got stuck at 47/50 and couldn't find more, maybe a mini map could help. I like that you added some quests too to mix it up. Graphics were great also and were the highlight for me, the sprites reminded me of Stardew. Great job!

elysiagriffin 2021-10-11 14:40

Charming graphics, charming music and sound effects. Took me a bit of time to finish it, but that means it hooked me!
