LD49 — Unstable

Jingoku by Skyeward 2021-10-07T13:12:17Z

This is one of my most favorite entry of the jam. From the overall aesthetics to every part of the collections of mini game. How do you even get this done within 3 days is astounding.

The collection of minigames ranges from easy to challenging for me (hopefully next time I'll fare better) This was a blast to play!

Unstable Concoction by theviraldragon 2021-10-05T01:47:39Z

I think this game is really interesting conceptually. I like the artstyle and the music.

However the gameplay at the start can be a little tad too confusing at least at the start even if the gameplay experience is lots of fun once figured out. I get the point of what is trying to accomplish. But perhaps by clicking on the order you can see clues on what is needed instead of a description of said item.

This way, you can keep the trial and error gameplay you wanted, while also providing some tips for player to start out.

Overall solid entry especially in 48 hours.

Delivery impossible by Nikolay Zapolnov 2021-10-05T08:35:37Z

This game is hard and challenging. But man does it do what the game titles say. Definitely close to "impossible". Music was really well done and nice. Environments are really cool too. I have a blast playing this game in short burst :)

Instability by R3L0ad1 2021-10-05T17:04:10Z

This game definitely is hard yet fun to play. Once you master the arcs of the jump and able to jump well then it's a very enjoyable experience (Only manage to get 25 as my high score though x.x) It felt polished in a challenging way.

Would be nice to have a quick restart button instead of keep seeing it within the score counter or something along those lines.

Astronaut Gary Inc. by gagapete 2021-10-05T06:15:30Z

I find this to be a very pleasing game. It reminds me of something of games like overcooked where there's recipes you have to follow. There's just so many aspects to the game that Imma commend for the hard work and effort in 3 days!

It's definitely hard at first though

The Dress Rehearsal by Dis0rder 2021-10-05T02:07:46Z

I really enjoy playing this game to the end. I like the humour of the narrator constantly "shit-talking" (not sure a better word for this XD) me.

I find the collection of mini games to do quite intriguing and enjoyable yet easy once you get a feel of things. Really solid entry.

Lena & Tubs in: The Shattered Chateau by Matt Fabius 2021-10-05T06:01:39Z

Stylistic and aesthetic wise was so intriguing to play around with. I find the dual inputs a little bit challenging at first since I'm not used to it. A little bit on the downside, I think some text were abit chopped off due to the resolution (but maybe it's just on my end!)

The Escape by Marin0104 2021-10-05T05:54:50Z

I quite enjoy the game, audio have some tearing though (Not sure if it's intentional or not). Other than that, the driving mechanics was quite the enjoyable experience. I'm quite bad at the game though, only able to last for 30 seconds before dying.

Quite smooth gameplay in terms of what was trying to be accomplish where it feels the driving should be hard yet smooth at the same time. So kudos for the balance for that!

Abrakaboom by Panzershrek 2021-10-05T09:11:32Z

I love the graphics and the artstyle of it. It reminds me of Vaudeville style which is always one of the most intriguing style for me.

Unhitched Isles by MickM 2021-10-05T09:33:42Z

This is such a fun idea, I like how you implement the layout. Though for me, textwise for me was a little bit hard to read.

JennyBee by Iori Branford 2021-10-05T13:10:19Z

I find conceptual idea wise, this was definitely a unique experience. I like how you interpret the theme very differently! Keep up the good work

Radioactive Guns 'n' Stuff by DriagonV 2021-10-05T13:14:19Z

I enjoy the shooting mechanics of the game. A few more variety would just be even better :)

Reacto by magus77 2021-10-06T13:50:57Z

The ambience is really good and well done. I like the concept of it. I do wish that there's something that indicate where to go or a gneral map since I felt the world is really huge.Good effort :)

Insomnia by Foursay 2021-10-05T05:26:51Z

I find this game really fascinating and intriguing to play. Definitely differs from the norm and quirky in terms of mechanics at the same time. But hey! Jams are perfect to explore those quirky yet fun ideas so props for that. I also love the audio set. So kudos all around! :)

Tetrawave by zinnin 2021-10-05T02:32:19Z

A nice and refreshing take on a classic game. Solid :)

Count-Down by Shadowmyst 2021-10-05T02:45:27Z

I think with a little bit of visual feedback it can be better. I do like the mystique of atmosphere of the game though with this pseudo-like horror style.

The top right thing where you're suppose to go was a neat touch, kinda wish it was a compass as an asset could lead to a nice feel to it :)

Count-Down by Shadowmyst 2021-10-05T04:17:02Z

@Shadowmyst Perhaps when you shoot at an enemy, there's like a damage feedback to the enemy or highlighted around the edges for them. :)

MechaShift by MasterProject 2021-10-05T03:06:04Z

This was a really good mechanical yet challenging game. Love every aspect of it, from the challenge to the style. Controls needs a little getting used to, but oh man...it's a blast once you get the hang of it.

Malmhund by Martin183 2021-10-05T06:06:45Z

Would be nice if there's a fast forward button and slow down button after that, but in general it's quite fun of a game once you get a hang with the switches.

The starting levels were quite confusing due to the many switches, but once you got the hang of it, it's an enjoyable experience to me.

Frosty Wobble by Ghuyajil 2021-10-05T13:36:38Z

I think this is an enjoyable little platformer you have there. The abilities was quite well done as well!

Mountaineer by vsi- 2021-10-05T04:41:51Z

Definitely a fun little game. A little bit complicated at the start with how to use the rope, but after you get the hang of it, it's definitely something you can enjoy by the side. I quite like the music and the general aesthetic. The voice acting is also pretty funny.

Didn't think I would play for quite awhile, but I did. My general criticism is that the text could be quite hard for some users to read, and that using the rope could be a little finnicky to use. Maybe once you selected the rope, it's automatically "equipped" and you're safe.

Unstable Mechanical Warframe by Astropower 2021-10-06T05:55:55Z

I think the text can be improve upon so it's easier on the eyes to read. There's a few interesting mechanics that when build upon I think will be a blast to play through even if it's a little bit harder to understand even with the tutorials. I would consider to try simplify it, and then try to build upon that area.

Strategy games aren't easy especially considering it's a game jam entry. Huge props for that :) (Also apologies to be seen so harsh on your game -- I feel that there's a core mechanic deep down that is interesting, it just need to be flesh upon to make it shine so hopefully my comments helps for your future games!)

Reac'this by DevUndead 2021-10-05T06:31:06Z

I have fun with this with all the tasked. There's a little bit trouble of thinking of how to finish some of the task, but overall a solid experience

Acidium by OpenfunGames 2021-10-06T14:39:53Z

This was really such a good game. I love how you blend two genres together with the narrative and the core gameplay. I really would love to see this expand upon after the jam entry. Just really creative stuff right there. The art style is top notch too

Home Tripper by Lemonthunder 2021-10-05T02:25:42Z

Game not working on opera. Doesn't load

Unstable Code by Souptik Datta 2021-10-05T07:00:53Z

I quite like the art, especially the bloom effect. Gameplay was pretty interesting to play and test around!

Unstable Aviation by IcedJaM 2021-10-05T03:58:17Z

This game is really polished. I enjoy the powerups and it has some really good aesthetic to it. The unstable theme was also quite well thought out. My only gripe with it, is that it does look the same between the modes so maybe a different look to it would indicate what mode it is would be easier to the eye.

The difficulty reminds me of old arcade games, which I enjoy as well. However, I do feel like I get lost with the ship a few times. Got about 10,000 pts which is good

Crystal Town by Lucy Lu 2021-10-05T07:19:50Z

I played this game quite abit! I have to say the artstyle was just super cute. A very solid game in 72 hours. I think for me, it sorta reminds me of one of my childhood game (which i can't seem to find the name off) but anyway.. I really love the whole set! It's really really good!

Twin Tails Jetpack by ExpiredPopsicle 2021-10-05T15:47:25Z

It's a fun game, and props for having that many levels. I would say it's definitely challenging though. Controls feels responsive enough. I would say maybe instead of static panning camera, the camera should follow the player instead, because most of the time the character would be out of the screen and then won't know what to do until the screen pans to the character.
