Hey you know you have not included any links to the game.
@xmagpie42 Seems to be fixed now? The site seemed to be having issues for me where the game URL was showing sometimes, but not others when loading the page. It's appearing consistently for me now, at least.
An enjoyable concept, mini games could maybe have been fleshed out more, or added more things that need to be done to complete the rocket? , art was really quite well done, could have benefited from a tutorial possibly. However an excellent game nonetheless
This one's very fun. I died because I accidentally boosted the asteroid closer to the planet instead of away from it.
i like how you control both at once, trying to both things at once made it fun for me. great game.
Loved the writing and art style. The hints of which keys to press confused me sometimes. But once I got the hang of it (and played with a second person on the keyboard) it was super fun. Trying to nail that asteroid with the booster was hard but satisfying. I like it!
This game is such a challenge for my brain! I haven't been able to beat it on my own, so I'm going to ask my husband to help me co-op when he gets home. I MUST SEE THEM SAVED! LOL
Very fun challenging game. I wish I had someone to play coop on it, so I'll have to get someone to remote onto my PC with me. But even alone it's more than playable and and extra challenge. Super creative concept :D
I enjoyed controlling both aliens at the same time. Great entry!
Seems like a fairly big penalty for a miss. Not sure what the solution would be though.
This was a very interesting entry, I liked the control set (even though the I control looked like a H). didnt get to finish it yet but had a lot of fun with it!
This was really interesting! It reminded me a bit of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons with the "single-player co-op" approach.
I guess I wasn't fast enough, 'cause the planet exploded even though I hit the asteroid with every thruster. It seemed to get a lot faster towards the end--the rocket was only two-thirds full...! ^^;
That would probably be my only complaint, actually: there's no real indication of why the asteroid speeds up.
Otherwise, really good work! I had fun!
What a great idea, to play both aliens at the same time. It was quite hard to hit with the booster, but in a way, where it felt natural. I imagine playing this two player, would mostly just be fun for the guy doing the boosters, but I guess the intention was for this to be a one player game, which nailed it. It's good training for the coordination skill I guess. Sounds were good, and I liked the graphics - Well done.
Thanks a lot for sharing your game :-)
Intersting concept! Very nice graphics and fitting music! I am not a keyboard player, more a controller player: to me controls felt stiff, but that's me. I like the concept, having to balance the delay and filling the rocket! Is it possible when playing alone? Congratulations to this quite complex, polished, innovative game during a jam!
Thanks for your submission! It's great that you managed to achieve a working core loop for the game! And I feel my brain is splitted after playing this one. I liked the camera work to keep your attention on how far the asteroid is and the fact that a missed booster can actually harm you, it makes you think twice when aiming.
I liked the idea of controlling two characters at once, it demands some coordination and planning to play in the way the player is supposed to. My only question is with the boosters; I understand that the meteor moves faster as you refuel your rocket, but is there a game design reason for the booster to be so heavily based on physics? I ask that because one time the booster hit the meteor, but in an specific angle that made it sped up the meteor towards the planet, instead of moving it away. I think it would be better to make the booster automatically push the meteor away no matter where he lands, only that he lands. Other than that, I really liked the game, and enjoyed playing it for lots of rounds. Good visuals, good audio, and good atmosphere!
very fun and challenging, I'd imagine that with a friend it'd be a lot less difficult though :P it's a great fit for the theme, the main loop of getting gas, but also boosters to push the meteor away is really fun, sorta like a risk n' reward system. The graphics reminded me of all those newgrounds/flash games from the 2000's really fun to reminisce about those :D
The audio works great in creating tension, while the meteor approaches. As for any additions to the mechanics aside from powerups etc. maybe some kind of saboteur that you'd have to kill before they siphon too much gasoline from the rocket. It feels like a very complete experience otherwise.
This was a lot of fun! I failed a couple of times before I won, and I thought controlling two characters at the same time was a bit too chaotic for me, but once I got the hang of it and had a working strategy it was actually very satisfying and winning felt like an actual victory! Does the asteroid speed up the closer you are to having the rocket fueled though? It felt like it but I'm not entirely sure. Either way cool gameplay and the art is also really neat! I love little Nurgle (apparently a very clean version?) and Blort and I'm glad I could help them escape. Audio was also a nice addition and worked well with the game. Nice entry, congratulations!
Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1449912091
Fun stuff. The controls, particularly the need to pump with the keyboard, were fitting but a little rough for my already-RSI-having hands. I wonder if a controller-based control scheme would work while being more comfortable.
I've had so much fun! The truth is that I'd like to be with someone to make it easier for me, ha ha. Seriously, everything is very well packaged and I don't see any inconsistency with the rest of the sections. Great game!
never managed to beat it, however it was an extremly enjoyable experience. The control set feels wrong at first but i got used to it pretty quick. Also i think that when you get the fuel or the thruster thing that you automaticly equip it rather than first being on the floor. One more thing, when i attached the thruster on the asteroid i launched it tworwards the planet and i failed. overall a pretty damn good game
I liked it a lot! But it is more geared towards being a multiplayer game, right? I think you should continue the development. It certainly could become a great game!
My fingers! The concept is very cool, but my poor fingers hurt 😭 I wish there was a control scheme that was more accessible. Still enjoyed playing it though, well done!
I was getting close to fueling up the rocket but then I accidentally boosted the asteroid towards me somehow. :( I think timing the boosters correctly is pretty difficult, and having them work against you is a little tragic.
Having said that, this is a pretty cool game! I like how frantic it is. I couldn't quite win just by myself but maybe if I enlist a player two, I might be able to pull it off. (Actually, is it balanced for two players? Or one?) The art was wonderful too. Really fun to play! Well done, you two!
My face when the booster pushed the asteroid closer to the planet 15170846_160294517772590_8902494048106102778_n.jpg
Cool game! The mental struggle of controlling two characters at once is quite challenging though! But it is a really unique idea, I think maybe with some more intuitive control scheme it would be even better.
So simple yet so effective, now I really want to try this with a friend.
It's a cool idea. It looks good. Controlling two characters feels surprisingly nice. But did I have fun doing it? No. Aiming boosters feels frustrating and my hand hurts from trying to button mash. I don't feel like I can effectively gauge how much time I have left because the asteroid is powered by Physics and idk why it happens to be more aggressive at some time than others. Still, good work!
The game looks pretty and the music fits well. It's a great concept, but unfortunately it's a bit too challenging.

It was very fun to try coordinating the two characters, the physics made it a bit harder but the game is short enough that we can just keep replaying until we succeed (one "strategy" I've found was to make one character deal with the thrusters, the other deal with the fuel, but when the first is holding a thruster the second would pause the fuel task to start making another thruster, compensating for my bad aim 😅)
