LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Shoot Them Deeper by pndaa 2021-05-06T20:22:19Z

This was pretty fun to play. One thing I noticed is that sometimes it's a bit difficult to read the numbers of the counting gates, because the hologram-models of the objects to count would be in the way of one of the numbers displayed. I also thought the shooting felt a bit underwhelming, at first I got the impression I didn't do any damage so some kind of clear feedback on hitting targets would've helped. Player health was also difficult to determine, but from reading the comments here I understand it was visible on the player model itself. You did a nice job on the audiovisual aspect, I like the mood that you created. The counting of the objects is a fun touch and even though I thought it was a bit quirky at first, it does actually add an additional layer to the game since you're both shooting/dodging stuff and keeping count simultaneously. Congratulations on your LD48 entry!

Bouldaouf dash by shubart 2021-05-06T20:34:57Z

When I try to run the game, it's being blocked by my anti-virus software. I'm sure it's not actual malware, but I wanted to give you a heads-up anyway. This is also the reason why I sadly couldn't play.

Worm Go Down by DragonZBW 2021-05-08T23:09:15Z

Very cool game! Playing this was an enjoyable experience; the controls felt responsive, the music and sounds fit pretty well and the graphics are simple but very effective. I like the fact that the projectiles can ricochet and deflect enemy projectiles and the health being reflected by the length of the player character is a nice touch (and it adds snake-like difficulty as you become a larger and easier target the more health you have). The only issue I (think I) encountered is that I sometimes appeared to get hit by things that weren't close enough to hit me, as if the hitbox of my creature/the tail of the create was bigger than its visual representation. Congratulations on your solid LD48 entry!

Dieper & Deaper by Chartle 2021-05-10T12:45:25Z

This was fun! I seemed like the dialogue (monologue) sometimes showed twice, for example when I tried to leave the building at the start I got the same warning twice. The same happened in another room. That was a bit annoying, and to be honest I didn't appear to require disguises so I didn't really get the point but despite those things this is a very nice entry with simple but effective visuals and fitting sound and music. Congratulations on this LD48 game!

Mr. & Ms. Deeper: Descent to Inner Depth by SIGILL 2021-04-27T21:56:59Z

Thank you @thesambassador for your feedback and suggestions. The arrow does indeed point towards the other character, so you have an idea whether they're at about the same depth/area. I totally agree with you on your other points, unfortunately there wasn't enough time to improve those things. We're planning to continue working on the game and we'll definitely take them into account!

The Last Spores by pestodesign 2021-05-08T22:49:28Z

This is a beautiful game! As noted before it could use some balancing though, too often I ran out of energy without ever having a chance to refill. I went from a full bar of energy to empty because the pathfinding tried to find a path around rocks that extended past the edge of the screen, and it was going for a path outside the screen instead of taking the one that made the most sense (and was a lot shorter). Very cool entry though, this is one of the highest scores I've given so far!

Freg, Fregg, and Freggy: The Last Band by Honest Dan 2021-04-28T19:19:26Z

This is a great entry! Unfortunately I got a crash on my way to the canyon boss, but I think I got a good impression of the game. The music is really nice.. and so is the art! Your game got me excited to play during the intro, and it kept me excited during the game because it's just so much fun to look at and listen to. I'll definitely give this a try again if/when you release a fixed version. Congratulations on your LD48 entry!

Deep Space: Beyond by Mordechai 2021-04-28T17:50:34Z

I didn't get to see the credits unfortunately, so now I'm curious why people are mentioning them.. Anyway, I thought the atmosphere was cool, but the slow walking speed combined with the long empty grey corridors made the game a bit tedious after a while. The elevators were also difficult to differentiate, I couldn't tell whether they went up or down, but I did remember so it wasn't that bothersome. I'm sure there could be an interesting game in here if you could expand it with some puzzles or other interactive elements. Congratulations on your LD48 entry!

To The Core by imKrye 2021-04-28T17:26:31Z

The shooting is very broken, and the text didn't display correctly as it was shown on the upper border of the dialog image. I feel that there were plans that you didn't get to realize within the time constraints, but I think this might be a fun game if developed into something more. Congratulations on finishing LD48!

Savestate by Monkosum 2021-05-10T23:49:05Z

This sounds really cool and I'd love to play it! Unfortunately my anti-virus is blocking this from running, I don't just add exceptions for 'random' downloads and I don't have a virtual Windows machine set up. If someone happens to have a video of a playthrough then I'll gladly watch that!

Power Station Beta by Dock Frankenstein 2021-04-28T13:09:55Z

I think this could be an interesting starting point for a more fully developed game. I got confused about what kept killing me (at first I thought I needed to pick up the blue elements) and the fall damage was pretty annoying (I got killed by jumping of the platform in the last level, it really didn't seem that high), but I do like the concept. As other have said, and what you probably were going for, it had a big Portal/Half Life vibe to it and you could make a fun puzzle game out of this if you adds more ways to interact with the environment, such as different kinds of energy/colors that you can use. Congratulations on finishing a game for LD48!

Submarine Frenzy by room606 2021-05-08T22:56:53Z

Fun little game, but the further I progressed the more the following issues showed: the movement of the submarine was a bit too fast for my taste and combined with the stickiness to the bottom of the screen/ocean made movement quite difficult and unpredictable. I also bounced around a lot when I hit the rectangle-shaped obstacles. Congratulations on your LD48 entry!

Lord of Mine by JustusPan 2021-04-28T16:50:15Z

I think this game has potential, but does it currently have a goal? Or is it infinite combat with infinity time and resources? I got to layer 20 and figured it I didn't make actual progress, so I retreated.. and there I also didn't seem to be able to do anything?

Dimidium Angelus by Double Top 2021-04-27T21:50:54Z

To be completely honest I didn't enjoy the combat. It was pretty much alternating between shielding up for a couple of rounds, then attacking when an enemy would buff. But of course I realize it's a gamejam game, so I understand it's made in limited time with limited resources. Other than that it felt pretty cool! The graphics and sound worked well for me and overall the game appeared solid and polished, atmospheric. Congratulations on finishing and submitting your game!

Boom Boom Revolution by Sprotex 2021-04-28T16:57:56Z

I hate to say this, but I don't understand the game? What am I supposed to do? What do the scrolling parts at the bottom and side of the screen mean? I suppose that considering the name it's something related to dance dance revolution, but I've never played that so it confuses me greatly. And what is the goal of the game, are there more levels or do I just clear the first one somehow?

MIND LINKER by LanaLux 2021-04-28T16:34:14Z

I'm so disappointed there were no hobbits.. Jokes aside, this was an atmospheric game. And (the subject at the ending - I'm not going to spoil it) is always one that invokes emotion. I don't feel emotions while playing Ludum Dare games that often. I think the game is missing actual 'game'(play), maybe a small simple puzzle or something, but as a narrative platform it does a decent job. I may even play this if it's fleshed out a bit more, because I do occasionally enjoy walking simulators as long as they tell a good story. Anyway, congratulations on finishing your LD48 entry!

You Are Now Breathing Manually by ChewieCB 2021-04-27T22:27:53Z

I've played multiple rounds but it seemed to be impossible for me to reach the ship. I think the level is randomly generated? I kept running into some road/spaceblocks that I couldn't overcome with the amount of fuel I had. Playing the game felt pretty tense, I almost had difficulty breathing normally in real life. That as well as the concept are cool, but the seemingly impossibility of reaching the ship/shelter put a huge dent in the fun and experience. Maybe a little bit of additional fuel would make it a lot better, yet not too easy.

Farthest Place by Narwaffles 2021-05-11T20:43:10Z

A simple but effective game! I thought it was pretty enjoyable, but the fixed camera made it difficult to see whether I was hitting the walls or not sometimes. The audio also got a bit annoying after a while, some background music would've broken up the monotonous sound. Then again, we didn't get to put sound in our own game at all, because obviously time was in short supply so I get that it's not perfect. Congratulations on your LD48 entry!

Now you see me by Haiyoooo 2021-05-08T22:28:43Z

I love the art of this game, I would gladly hang an art piece in this style on my wall! As for the gameplay itself, the controls feel a bit.. sluggish to me? I'm not sure what it is and whether it's intended, but I think it would benefit from being a bit more responsive/snappy.

Stranger Fish by Millhow 2021-05-08T22:38:41Z

Cute and relaxing game, but some of the fish seemed very elusive; I haven't been able to find them all! Some way to get an indication whether you are close to a fish or not might've been a nice addition. I also felt a bit claustrophobic, there is relatively little space around the player to see the surroundings/the game feels very zoomed in.

Deep Survivors Guilt by Krebzor 2021-05-09T14:41:41Z

Cool entry! It was enjoyable to play, but I did have a few remark: I didn't understand when the fuel would refuel. Is it when standing still on a planet, and is this intentional? Also the gravitational physics felt a bit too far off, even the biggest planets had very little pull and started pulling at a very limited range. I would've loved to perform some slingshots but the current system didn't really allow for that. I did like your game nonetheless, my remarks are kinda nitpicking for a gamejam game of course! Congratulations on making this LD48 submission!

Halt by Teto 2021-05-14T10:51:23Z

Pretty fun game! A few remarks: - The final text-screens would loop if I clicked, so I could loop through the closing (de-)briefing and the final screen. - The jumping felt a bit unpredictable. Sometimes the game wouldn't let me jump even though I had clearly been grounded. It seemed to be an issue with the way the game handled the checks to determine if the player could jump again after landing, as it felt similar to issues early iterations of my own platformer player controller. - The grappling hook didn't work reliably either. It would seemingly randomly shoot in a random direction for one or a couple of frames, sometimes connecting to a wall I didn't mean to hit at all.

Those are the more critical remarks I had. Otherwise "Halt" was cute in both the audio and visual aspect and the adventurer-killing itself felt surprisingly satisfying. You get (imaginary) bonus points for the cute cat. Congratulations on building your LD48 game!

Gulp! by oramun 2021-04-27T22:48:29Z

First of all: if all of the art is from a pack I'd suggest you opt-out from the Graphics rating category if that's still possible (I don't think it is though..). Else it's something to keep in mind for next time. I made it to the third level, with the timed buttons. The game is decently fun to play, but I got stuck on objects a lot and I gave up playing after not being able to throw the crate onto the button at the left side of the map. I tried about 10 times and I just couldn't do it, it was very frustrating. Also at first I thought the player movement/handling of direction change was very annoying, but I got used to it after a while and it actually became fun as I pretended to be a drunk castle guard running around in the sewage while yelling "Weeeeee" all the time :) Even though the gameplay is simple, it still seems to be a good starting point for a more developed, balanced and polished game! Congratulations on creating and submitting it!

Deep molatoes by leggy 2021-04-28T16:02:23Z

This feels a lot like the game "Dwarfs!", which I like a lot. It's a bit difficult to understand what is going on when you run out of money to buy lanterns, and sometimes molatoes seemed to die with a delay because the died with no obvious reasons except for falling or getting a boulder on their head a second ago. The sounds, as simple as they are really add to the feel of the game. On issue I had is that I had moltatoes that bugged out after spawning. One got stuck on half the height of a block that was already gone, running itself up against the edge of the one next to it. I couldn't place a sign there though, because the moltatoe was still at surface level. Another issue was that a moltatoe.. flew around from left to right before it landed and started mining. Anyway, congratulations on making this game! It's a fun one and I think it would be could if you expanded this into a more fully-fledged project!

Random Deep by stipple3D 2021-04-27T23:59:08Z

I'm not sure if I understand the game correctly. Is there a way to influence the travel distance, or am I at the mercy of the RNG and does the game basically consist of moving in the direction of a color and hoping that I end up in the room it is in? Either way, I do like the feeling this is going for. The combination of a room and a ship map feel like there is a lot to explore (even though it's all just similar rooms, but there is potential). Execution of those aspect is well done, it looks neat. If the player is provided with some (more obvious) control movement as to have some actual gameplay, this might be an interesting game. As it is now though, it's.. lacking. Still, congratulations on finishing LD48, I hope you enjoyed the weekend!

Aggies Adventure by Tom Ruxley 2021-05-09T23:46:04Z

Cute little game! The style reminds me of the game "And yet it moves". I'd definitely want to play a longer version of this game if you decide to develop this further!

The Chase by Nikl 2021-04-27T22:57:52Z

Despite the game being very simple, I still enjoyed it. The audio really made a difference so you get some points for that. The squirrel art is also cute. Some more mechanics than just buttons would've been nice, but like I said I still enjoyed the game for what it is. Congratulations on finishing LD48!

Deep Jumper by RadzioGadzioPL 2021-04-27T23:43:16Z

This is a difficult game! I don't know how far I got, but those shooting walls definitely are real killers. I think I got to the second or third shooting wall and there I didn't see how I was supposed to progress: all I was were a trapped platform and a platform below that one that was constantly under fire of the shooting wall. I did enjoy playing it though and I might revisit the game later to see if I can finish it! Also, congratulations on finishing LD48!

The Key by Zohar 2021-05-06T21:18:33Z

This is the first game I'm playing on here that gave me a headache and made me feel nauseous. The backgrounds were a bit.. too much in that regard.

Syvyys by toilari 2021-04-27T15:07:55Z

My ratings: - Overall: 3.0 - Fun: 3.5 - Innovation: 1.0 - Theme: 2.0 - Graphics: 4.0 - Audio: 4.0 - Humor: 1.0 - Mood: 3.0

(Don't take this as harsh criticism because obviously it's a gamejam game, I'm only explaining my rating here) To me the graphics and audio were pretty cool and the main draw of the game. The gameplay itself felt decent and fun for what it is and combined with the graphics reminded be a bit of, for example, the old original Duke Nukem games. I wouldn't say there is any innovation, it's just another scrolling shooter in that regard. Theme-wise it's.. using the theme, but that's about it, not much creative use of the theme. There was some attempt at humor at the intro, but other than that not really. The mood was pretty cool, it did feel dark and a bit uncomfortable. I was in the fifth circle and appeared to be stuck on a couple of big guys I couldn't kill.. was that intentional and the end of the game?

Congratulations on finishing your gamejam game though! I hope you had a good time and maybe you can develop this into something more!

Abyss - A Journey Deeper by Dimi_Tree 2021-05-06T20:52:35Z

First of all: the credits mention sound effects, but i didn't get any sound while playing this. That said, to be honest I'm not sure what to think of the story you're trying to tell. It feels a bit too abstract for me, and the different art styles (smooth, vector-like images combined with pixel(ated) art, and art of varying quality) distracted me a lot from the message you are trying to convey. I do appreciate projects like this one that try to tell and explore the inner thoughts and memories/traumas and I do admire you for attempting to do so during a game jam. This particular game just didn't really work for me unfortunately. Still, congratulations on your LD48 entry!

RUN FROM STUFF (2D Chase Game) by PookiPoot 2021-04-28T18:56:30Z

I think you are not giving yourself enough credit by calling this "a piece of trash". I didn't get very far/to the end (if there is one) because of collision issues getting me stuck all the time, but I really like the overall idea of the game. The aesthetics are nice, the movement feels like a lot of fun and the music was also pretty decent. If you decide to release an updated, post-jam version that fixes the collision issues (and maybe adds more to the game) I'd definitely want to play it!

Fish for Meaning by Steve Johnstone 2021-04-28T18:37:15Z

This was actually pretty fun! Even the "terrible music" wasn't as terrible as I expected. One thing though, in the last level I kept spawning into 2 or 3 sharks, which damaged me before I got the chance to dodge anything. For me the corners to the sides of the screen were cut off, making them invisible for me. This caused me to think a fish was missing, but it was just hiding in there. That said, the progression in difficulty felt pretty good and it kept the game interesting throughout the different levels, and the art also felt appealing! Congratulations on your LD48 entry!

Blue Square and the Mystery Cave by asdehielo 2021-05-10T23:58:27Z

What a fun little game. It's such a simple concept yet you created some fun puzzles with it, with a nice progression in difficulty. I enjoyed just spamming the balls a lot haha, especially filling downward shafts and then jumping on top of them. Congratulations on your LD48 entry!

Kinda Deep by sagylel 2021-05-08T22:42:27Z

Just a heads-up: my anti-virus software blocked this game from running, so unfortunately I didn't get to play this entry (as I don't just add exceptions for random downloads, as I'm sure you understand).

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Bullets For Hell by davision 2022-04-06T22:54:44Z

Great game, definitely in my top 10 of most fun Ludum Dare games I've played over the years. I'm going to keep this so I can play this some more whenever I want to have some fun! The concept is simple but it's well-executed. The audio and visuals really add to the experience and feel well done. Later in the game eliminating entire columns of demons is super satisfying. I did feel however that I got to a point where I could not hit the top-row of enemies when they got close, despite trying to aim at them with different angles.

Solid game with a solid rating!

Royal Astroid Crush by tiffi 2022-04-09T15:38:15Z

A decent 'clicker' game. To be entirely honest it's lacking some originality or a unique element (as far as that's possible nowadays) to make it interesting enough to play more than once, but in the spirit of the game jam it's great that you created a fully functional game and it was pretty fun to play despite me not being really into this genre!

I'm not sure whether I was supposed to click the satellites though, they appeared to damage the shield when destroyed, no matter how far away they were? (Oh.. and while writing this and checking the description I do see you mentioned it above, it's easy to miss!) I also appear to have lost some shield sections off-screen but I'm not entirely sure about that, since they disappear with a little bit of a delay.

Evacuation of Zorkid by SIGILL 2022-04-06T22:29:34Z

@cedric86 You are absolutely right, I had some mechanics for used-up accelerators/repulsors in mind but I didn't get to implement them. Same with music and sound, I would have loved to have music that added to the feeling of stress and urgency and sound effects for power outages and warnings.

@zachsbutt In a way I'm happy that you felt frantic and making things worse with the repulsors, because I was going for that kind of experience where not keeping your head cool would quickly get you into a downward spiral of stress and an ever-increasing feeling of urgency :) And as mentioned above, I would have loved to add some music that added to that feeling!

@mpk90 Thanks for reporting the issue with the buttons, I will look into it!

Memphis, Bubbleland by Sam Machell 2022-04-09T16:58:58Z

I was looking forward to joining this, but it appears there is something wrong as the title screen doesn't show the moment of the next tour anymore. Shame, I liked the fact that you made this something exclusive, making it seem extra interesting.

EDIT: It seems the issue is that you've uploaded a new version and I was on the old version. It appears to work now, but if the updated version was the issue a headsup would've been nice :)

EDIT2: I was in but I suddenly got thrown out and now it says "No sessions". Big sad.

The Heist by chuckeles 2022-04-05T16:21:44Z

This was fun to play, the controls/physics feel very satisfying. Despite the gameplay being very simple, it shows that making a game play well goes a long way in the enjoyment it provides! My favorite part was when a traffic cone got stuck on the roof of my car, making it look like I had a little party hat.. Unfortunately the police decided that I can't have fun things (I bet they were jealous) and they bumped it off of me D:

Spider Tower by Bdiebeak 2022-04-05T19:09:15Z

Simple but fun game, I did not get very far though! At times it would've been nice if I could've rotated objects, which as far as I know is not possible at the moment. Being able to pretty aggressively push things around while in 'placement mode' didn't help either. However making one big pile of messy physics objects was still pretty enjoyable!

By the way I don't know if it's a web browser issue or game issue, but the mouse cursor seems to randomly disappear when playing the webplayer game in fullscreen, requiring changing window focus to fix it.

Did I Just Poop Myself by the Produce Section by ZachsButt 2022-04-06T23:34:35Z

I'm honestly not sure what to say other than "What..?" and "I enjoyed this way more than I want to admit"! So. There!

Eggspiration Date by Nash 2022-04-06T21:46:38Z

Cute little game. I don't have a lot to add that hasn't been said before; movement and jumping could use some improvement (I particularly missed some air control), thieves are very fast and I'm not sure what caused me to finally catch them (it felt random), tree hitboxes are annoyingly big, gliding could use some work (I felt the effect was too small, especially when activating it after already building up some falling speed). And the egg on the coastal arch seemed terribly annoying to get, partially caused by a combination of the above factors.

Now don't get me wrong, despite only mentioning these possible points of improvement I don't mean to say this is all just a bad game. I still enjoyed it up until the point where I needed to get the arch-egg (heh). The art style is cute and the setting feels relaxing.

Settlers & Prophecies by Chocolat-Endive 2022-04-05T00:07:26Z

I gave this three tries: on the first try I ran out of time (but I was doing really well), the second and third time I went bankrupt and I didn't really understand why. The mechanics and the way they interact could use some explanation, although I know all too well that for a jam those things often end up being pretty opaque. That said, the game looks and sounds very nice. I feel the synth-like music doesn't really fit the visual style/historical setting, but it sets a nice mood anyway. This is indeed a peaceful city builder, as advertised, and if it weren't for the time limit and stress caused by a negative income this would be relaxing as well.

Overall a great entry! Congratulations on finishing your game!

Multiplanetary by stevepdp 2022-04-07T01:46:25Z

I agree with the other comments, the game is (too) hard. Or I would rather say it's unfair; I've had rockets reach planets right at the start before I had any chance of reaching them as they would already be past the outer-most position I could get to when I got at their 'angle'. Some kind of boost to movement speed, or being able to move (even) further away from the planet would help with this issue. That said it's a nice attempt and with a bit more work this could make for a pretty fun post-jam game!

KRANT by pepnou 2022-04-09T16:55:53Z

An audio cue of the reactor status would've been nice, I was too busy reading the manual and trying to understand things so I did not notice the reactor going bad. Also I'm probably just not smart enough to understand the puzzle description, but I did not understand the rotary buttons. The game seems cool and promising, but I didn't get to play much of it either because of the difficulty or because of the manual not being clear enough. Would love to see an improved post-jam version of this though!

The End? by michaelaranda 2022-04-09T15:07:28Z

This was a lot of fun! I failed a couple of times before I won, and I thought controlling two characters at the same time was a bit too chaotic for me, but once I got the hang of it and had a working strategy it was actually very satisfying and winning felt like an actual victory! Does the asteroid speed up the closer you are to having the rocket fueled though? It felt like it but I'm not entirely sure. Either way cool gameplay and the art is also really neat! I love little Nurgle (apparently a very clean version?) and Blort and I'm glad I could help them escape. Audio was also a nice addition and worked well with the game. Nice entry, congratulations!

Cards of Life by TheMiSta92 2022-04-06T22:23:37Z

Simple but fun game. I don't know if the choices and outcomes and resulting karma actually had any impact, but I more than once did I get the same card in two sequential rounds, with both a positive outcome, which felt a bit like cheating for easy karma (although I might've just been lucky). While this was fun to play, it did feel like it was purely random, which makes it less of a game and more of a random story generator. It does have a nice atmosphere and the available options, accompanying texts and resulting stories were fun. I'm glad I was less at risk of death penalties, being lured by witches or terrible accidents with deadly tools during my own childhood!

Run Run Granny! by Hartvichio 2022-04-06T23:12:41Z

This was fun! Unfortunately I died a couple of times during some good runs due to getting stuck behind objects I just placed. I'm not sure what exactly happened because the game is rather fast-paced and I didn't have much time to figure out if I actually got stuck in all directions. Other than that you did a good job on making a nice little game!

Wishender by Pannda 2022-04-05T00:55:20Z

A rather hypnotic experience due to the repetitive nature of the sound effects and music. The game was a bit too long for my taste, with the stages seemingly getting easier the further I got instead of harder as I expected. Like the sounds, the gameplay is repetitive and frankly got a bit boring after a while.

The overall style and mood is something I definitely enjoyed though. Graphics are simple yet cool and effective and the intro/menu/outro and names of the opponent also added to the experience. Big style- and coolness points for this game!

Leaf the Ghost behind by BiOs3008 2022-04-06T23:24:37Z

A decent entry, congratulations! I do feel the movement could use some work, it felt a bit too floaty while at the same time the landing after a jump caused me to lose more momentum than I would expect in a game where fluid movement is key due to being chased by an enemy. I also agree with @mhorth regarding the art styles, they are cool on their own, however the result of combining them doesn't work too well.

Regardless this is a solid effort. It's been a while since I've played this type of games and after playing yours I want to play more games in this genre!

Twisting Tower by falkka 2022-04-07T00:19:23Z

It seems all I wanted to say has already been said in the other comments; spike tower was unclear until I read about it here, enemy alive counter bugs out and I'm not sure whether the towers not shooting is part of that bug, another bug or an intended timeout feature after firing a lot (if it *is* a feature it would've been nice if there was any kind of indication of it!).

The rotating mechanic is cool though, I've never seen this before and I would love to play a more developed version of this game! Also I did enjoy the art. The music was a bit too much in my opinion, something a little less energetic would've probably been a better fit.

Congratulations on your submission, I hope to see a post-jam version at some point!

This game is infuriatingly difficult. I really wanted to finish it and I gave it a lot of honest tries, but I ended up being ready to smash my keyboard through my screen. The art, sound and overall mood are great and very appealing. The concept of the game is also cool. The issue I'm having is (as mentioned above already) that it's difficult to guesstimate what your jump will look like as the jumping power seems to increase in a non-linear fashion and once you held the jump button for one 'charge' too long you can't undo it, potentially ruining a decent run. I might give this another try later and I've tried my best to not let my frustration about my own failure to git gud influence my rating, because I do like the overall game!

I've seen it mentioned in the comments above but I'm not sure whether underwater leaks are supposed to become unfixable or if it's a bug? Once the water had risen above the first unfixable hole things escalated very quickly as I had no way of truly stopping the flooding, which felt a little bit unfair given that fact that it was unclear to me whether it was intentional or not.

The tells of the shaking planks are a great additional. I didn't notice it at first but once I did they really helped me respond faster. I think the choice to have no UI was a good one, it did feel a bit more 'immersive' this way. Overall I like what you've achieved with such a simple concept, congratulations!
