LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Spring Tale by Random-storykeeper 2021-05-10T01:51:26Z

This game is really, really good. The puzzle concept is really fun, and every new mechanic added was a great enhancement. The levels were very well done too! The music, sound effects, and art were all quite cute. It may not be visually attention-grabbing, but this is genuinely one of the best games I've seen this jam. I'm honestly astonished that you could design a game this well this quickly.

Mayhem of the Moles by Ramperkash 2021-05-09T20:55:22Z

I like the idea, and the level generation was impressive! I think some sort of health meter would have been helpful, since I had a hard time determining when and how the moles were doing damage. I also liked the unique design of the player character.

Deepest Sword by Strega 2021-05-09T23:24:00Z

Amazing, just like everyone else said. 10/10 would rage again

Mr. & Ms. Deeper: Descent to Inner Depth by SIGILL 2021-05-17T00:41:21Z

That was great! I particularly liked the play on "Deeper and Deeper", and I had fun figuring out the puzzles.

Craft, Code, Burnout by gamescodedogs 2021-05-18T18:05:01Z

I love all the art and animation! It reminds me of Don't Starve. I also liked the gameplay, which reminded me of Opus Magnum. Who'd've thought that Don't Starve crossed with Opus Magnum would be so charming? It's also really impressive that you were able to put this all together in 72 hours. Nice work!

DEEP DIVE IN USSR by vlandemart 2021-05-18T19:46:08Z

It's impressive that you were able to do full 3D graphics for this jam game! I particularly like how you had different run animations for running forward, backward, strafing, and moving diagonally. That was a nice touch

Piercing Asteroids by Harker 2021-05-18T18:55:37Z

I liked the game, especially the cute art! I do think it was a little hard to control the speed boost, but maybe I'm just bad.

Drilling Rig by Bitheral 2021-05-18T19:35:30Z

I like the audio, graphics, and general atmosphere

Well Darn by ick 2021-05-10T01:20:20Z

A very pleasing aesthetic experience

The Hunt for the Plastic Bag by Bewelge 2021-05-18T19:18:04Z

I liked the art and the progression system! It reminds me of a flash game called Learn to Fly that I used to play as a little kid. I do wish the progression played out a little bit faster though.

Diving Sea Code by MrJotubes 2021-05-09T23:52:50Z

I liked the art style and the atmospheric music! The story was well told too

🔥 Magma Eater 🔥 by landosilva 2021-05-18T18:12:01Z

I really liked the artwork and the sound! It set the fun tone well. I also liked how you combined turn-based and real-time thinking by allowing the player to dodge rocks just before they fell.

LuK-2000 and the Fragments of the Past by Avzgui 2021-05-10T00:33:16Z

That's a really interesting gameplay concept, and I absolutely loved the art, animation, and sound

Time to Sleep by Treeboater 2021-05-18T18:24:31Z

Short, sweet, and adorable!

Layers Of The Unexplored by Colin Misbach 2021-05-09T21:41:03Z

I adored the voxel art and really liked the simple yet difficult mechanic of trying to hit the enemies jumping at you while brushing away the things crawling on you. It would have been nice if getting hit was a little more noticeable; maybe there could have been a sound effect? Overall, great job!

Deep Dark Discoveries by shp 2021-05-09T21:09:42Z

I loved the low-poly art style! I also enjoyed the atmosphere of it all and really liked the idea of having the fuel also be the health bar. I do wish the bounces were a little less extreme though; when you still have fuel, the bounces are (I thought) pretty unforgiving and hard to recover from, and when you're out of fuel and just ragdolling down, the bounces can extend your fall by a good bit.

Deep in the Forest by CodeGlitch0 2021-05-18T19:26:18Z

I like the vine-swinging! It must've been tough to implement that

Big Brain Time by TheInkSkeleton 2021-05-18T18:40:44Z

I really enjoyed this informative, brain-based adventure! I could tell you did your homework

Eye of Skozrack by Echo GameWorks 2021-05-09T21:31:49Z

I liked the pixel art and loved the cute little sounds! The level design was cool too. I would've liked an arrow or something to better show in which direction the eye would bounce.

The Stick of Many Thingsâ„¢ by Ty Victorson 2021-05-17T01:16:02Z

I very much enjoy the sound effects, and I like the charging 3d art too!

Going Down in Fishstory by Jonas Tyroller 2021-05-10T01:01:48Z

Just generally fantastic. The art was great as always, the full voice acting was as lot of fun, the atmosphere was perfect, and the mechanics were simple yet enjoyable.

Super Mole Bro by simon.parzer 2021-05-17T00:53:40Z

I like the art and animation! The simple gameplay and the progress-after-death were also fun

I have no idea what I'm doing, but it won't stop me by limbo 2021-05-18T19:22:39Z

This was a fun little experience! It was really cute, and I absolutely loved the art

Sewer's Plague : Into the nest by Nicolas Revillon 2021-05-09T20:37:45Z

I liked the art and sound! It was an interesting gameplay concept too!

Catlantis by fabula_rasa 2021-05-17T00:30:09Z

Adorable! I loved the cute art and the theme. It was just challenging enough to be interesting yet still relaxing. It was also pretty polished for a jam game! A minor nitpick is that the things to escort tended to get stuck on corners if the player character was far enough away

Nadiria by ArguablyArugula 2021-05-10T00:17:42Z

I like the art and love the music! The dash feels great. One way to improve it might be to pull the camera out a bit so we can better see what we're dashing into and also so that it's easier to tell where you are

Inner Pieces by Eckkert 2021-05-16T23:56:53Z

Very interesting and moody!

Untitled Simulator by Eugenik 2021-05-09T22:16:53Z

That was unique, and I learned a lot! I liked the visual style as well with the grainy black-and-white filter.

Blackout by Frasse 2021-05-10T02:43:59Z

I loved the art and fun twists!

Deeper Palette by Arefnue 2021-05-18T18:21:41Z

This had some interesting ideas! I wish there was a little more explanation of what the colors do. Also, it's super impressive that you were able to do this much 3d art and animation in this short time frame! A bit of advice: I think the game would be improved by a shorter anticipation phase for the player's melee attack. A long anticipation like that looks cool in movies and is good for a video game boss that needs to telegraph their attacks, but for the player character, it's a bit frustrating when there's that much time between when you start the attack and when the hit actually lands.

Hometown Helper by DWink 2021-05-10T00:40:37Z

Unique and amusing

Aggies Adventure by Tom Ruxley 2021-05-09T23:29:54Z

Thanks everyone for your feedback! We would've liked to fix the things blinking and given it more of an ending @fabula-rasa but we bit off a bit more than we could chew and just ran out of time (which is also why the game is like 30 seconds long--sorry about that)

Aggies Adventure by Tom Ruxley 2021-05-18T16:34:40Z

Thanks again for all your feedback and advice! Thanks especially for the histogram tip @eckkert

Goose Root by jryzkns 2021-05-18T16:54:47Z

I thoroughly enjoyed experiencing the majesty of nature through this game. It had a really nice atmosphere and was fun and relaxing. It was also one of the funnier games I've seen this jam.

Magicards by Vinicius Lima 2021-05-09T20:44:24Z

The music was cute and the little enemies were absolutely adorable!

Graphite Journey by pnkvrt 2021-05-18T19:53:50Z

I absolutely love the hand-drawn art! That's really neat. The sound gave it a nice, relaxing atmosphere as well.

MION FOREVER by JoshTheStriker 2021-05-09T23:41:14Z

I found it a little too difficult to hit the very fast enemies with the ball. I like the idea and the art and sound were cute though!

Bucket Hat by Edur 2021-05-17T00:03:45Z

I really like the mechanic of throwing the bucket and then moving around so it hits things on its way back. It might have been a bit better if it were easier to aim. I liked the cute pixel art too!

Rabbit Rappel by MatterLinx 2021-05-18T18:26:46Z

I really liked the combination of shoot-to-move and the rappelling system! One thing that I noticed though was that there seems to be a slight delay between clicking and actually shooting? That might have just been on my end though

Roots game by BoClow 2021-05-17T01:01:58Z

I loved this simple and relaxing experience. It's always satisfying seeing automata simulations like this!

Comatoast by crow_seeds 2021-05-17T00:11:38Z

Goodness that was weird

:)

Deep Library by Mogaiskii 2021-05-18T19:02:09Z

I liked the library setting! It was cute and different.

Mind Fall by Nyx_Works 2021-05-18T18:32:36Z

I liked the atmosphere and art! I found though that the character was pretty much never on screen--the character was trailing too much.
