I like the little details in this. I really like the minimap! It's kind of fun navigating with it and getting excited when I see the thing I need. It's an interesting take on a maze game. And the controls feel pretty responsive -- I feel like in this kind of mouse control scheme it can get really tedious, but this game definitely avoids that!
I think I did run into the game breaking bug and wasn't able to return "Sight" to the host neuron, so I wasn't able to finish the game, but I still found it enjoyable and an interesting take on the theme!
it was put together well. I like the idea. : D
Great idea and implementation. As a development, you can also add special game conditions (intoxication, lack of sleep, etc.)
Wow, very unique and unexpected idea, nice works! Maybe it will be easier to control if the view can zoom out more.
Unique concept but it does not seems to be working very well. It is worth a bigger version I believe,to correct bugs and make it a bit more understandable. I agree with the precedent message saying a zoom out would be nice. Very nice graphics and remarquable but overall missing a bit of fun for now.
I think adding a Canvas Scaler would be nice since I had to change my window resolution to get it to load. The minimap was very nice, and the way that the neuron stretched was cool. I found myself mostly just staring at the minimap more than at the level itself, which was weird.
I ran into a problem where one of the neurons seemed to give me an "empty" task and I had no idea what to do with it, as the thing was counting down but I had no idea what to get it to return.
Either way, it was cool discovering and learning the map, so it was a lot easier on my second play through, once I had already seen where some things were.
Pros: I love the idea for this game, and mostly everything ran well for me throughout the game. The movement system ran smoothly, and the overall design of the brain "map" was intuitive as well. The mini map was a great touch to the UI of the game and helped a lot in finding where each neuron was. The art was really well done especially with it being done in paint.net.
Cons: Sadly I had a bit of a bug when I was trying to return the Smell and Taste neurons, it just didn't go away and just resetted the cooldown which I wasn't sure if it was supposed to happen or not. On top of that, I played in the HTML Web Browser, and the Replay button didn't work for me.
Overall, I really love the idea of this game and there's a lot that could be done with that. A few bugs here and there, but the game was stil fun and interesting to play. Nice job!
I have been stuck in walls a few times (I mean, I managed to go inside the walls).
Also, if I got 4 quests and I picked 4 elements, none of them corresponding to my quests, it seems that I am stuck: I can no longer pick a new element nor finish a quest. Maybe it could have been nice to allow to drop an element to avoid this lock?
Except for these two problems, I found the game interesting and original.
Great game! Loved the concept, and the wiggly animation of the neuron was neat! I did come across some bugs such as where I could clip into the walls and where sometimes I couldn't collect elements, but other than that, the game was pretty good. Well done!
I really enjoyed this informative, brain-based adventure! I could tell you did your homework
