Really great work! the only things are the camera movement and the Mouse is visible.

@mrstari thanks! Yeah I definitely should have spent more time on the movement. I was aware of the mouse, but by the time I noticed I decided to focus on last minute add-ins instead. Probably something I regret. Appreciate it!

Nice atmospheric combination of visuals and sound effects!

Some remarks: 1. Game needs mouse inversion settings. 2. It is hard to understand where to go next. Expectation: something indicates you where to go, e.g. lights which disappear when you reach them or glowing eyes of spiders.

Nice entry!

Fantastic atmosphere and lighting. It's a little hard on the hands, especially that last fight. I found the camera angle super intriguing but a little challenging to control at the start. Overall great job!

@retrome thanks! Yep, I definitely should have inverted the vertical camera movement. And yeah I wanted to add more effects to the environment, to make it easier to see where to go, but that fell to the bottom of my priority list unfortunately. I wished I could have focused on that more.

@phil-lesnar I'm happy you made it to the last fight, it's the one I did the least testing on, but I wanted to make sure it was fairly difficult while I was designing it. Sounds like it was (and hopefully you beat it ) Thanks!

The graphics are really nice, and the fact that the spider encounters get harder as you go is not something you see often in a game jam. I would of liked someway to tell how far I am progressing but even without cool game!

Wow, love the concept, so refreshing. A little bit hard for me at the end, and I would like to have a sprint between fights. I really enjoyed it, congrats :

Comfy art style used, the mouse was inverted which kept tricking my brain XD and after a few encounters (maybe the game was punishing me) the large amount of creepy crawlies started to lagg the game XD. Nice work, and good job :).

I adored the voxel art and really liked the simple yet difficult mechanic of trying to hit the enemies jumping at you while brushing away the things crawling on you. It would have been nice if getting hit was a little more noticeable; maybe there could have been a sound effect? Overall, great job!

I definitely enjoyed the whole game, amazing voxel art, the final battle was really tough (as others have pointed out lol) but definetely a fun and enjoyable game!

Really nice game! I like the graphics!

Cool game!

But mouse feels kinda weird as people said before, that gets me outta flow of the game.

But i focused on playing it beside that, and it's a cool game, really!

Great work!

Good effort! I liked the graphics especially (the shapes, colours, and lighting are simple, but work together really nicely)! At one point, my PC (which has a good GPU) even slowed down when I was here:

Capture.PNG

I liked the main mechanic of splattering the jumping enemies as it was intuitive and fun (and also satisfying with the sound effect).

Anyway, onto the constructive feedback. I think some more audio effects would be nice and some better direction for the player (I had to pay close attention so I didn't go backwards). I found the movement a bit slow and the inverted mouse was annoying (for me at least).

Overall, the game is good-looking and is a good entry! Nice job!

Nice work ! Some feedback on my part, appart from the technical issues w/ the mouse

- I feel like combat contradicts itself between the brush mecanics that asks to flail wildly the mouse while the spiders asks to click precisely on the, leading to situations where you can't do both at the same time. I found myself a lot of time at 1 hearts with a screen filled to the brim and only randomly clicking while waiting for the end of the fight. - Its also because you cannot tell that it's safe to brush yourself when the enemies are taking a pause,if you cannot see them. - On LD side, I feel like we are missing some feedbacks to signal progression. It's not easy to know if you are actually progressing or if we are on a previously visited light. You can probably fix that by making each light more unique, or change the color once reached.
