Graphics, innovation, and theme were all top-notch in this one! The gameplay was engaging and the mechanics worked well together. The only thing really that's missing is some juicy audio and screenshake for explosions. That alone would add a lot to the game.

Overall really great though! I'm glad I played this!

Hey I remember your entry during LD46 the art is always amazing. Music, art, gameplay everything fit together so nicely. Finished the game and now I want more :).

I won :D Very fun game, the concept is fun and catchy. The animations are awesome too. I like the fact that I can double my DPS if I refill during the phases with less action, and then attack with both the witch and the goblin.

You should make sure your link to the game is labeled Web build, I assumed since it says "windows" that I would need to download it. The music is amazing, the artwork is goofy and absolutely fantastic! I love the frantic button pushing animation when the player moves up and down! Great game! zLD_g.PNG

The game looks very good. Sounds and music are very appropriate. Unfortunately, the game slowed down a little, which made it difficult to play.

Really polished entry, I had troubles defending both characters but that's just me playing badly. The art is stunning and has a lot of charm, and the mood is perfectly set.

Cool comme jeu !

Niveau graphisme j'ai rien a dire, j'aime beaucoup l'ambiance et la musique aide beaucoup à s'immerger.

Petit "bémol" au niveau des contrôles, l'écran qui nous montre comment jouer semble indiquer que A et D bouge le sorcier alors que c'est le chevalier qui bouge "correctement" par rapport aux touches. Mais une fois le temps d'adaptation fait, ça va.

Et petit bug pour relancer le jeu à la fin après une défaite, le curseur ne change pas au retour sur le menu et il devient impossible de relancer le jeu sans relancer la page.

The artstyle is fantastic! I love the final fantasy look with the text, but this game was kind to difficult for a bad gamer like me, overrall the gameplay was really enjoyable though, great work!

@ceejap yes you have to get used a little to the controls for not being invaded, we maybe set too many enemies though, thanks a lot ! @okolyr Sorry for the difficulty level, it's kinda hard to set a good experience for everyone, otherwise really cool if you appreciated the game though ! :) @tom-robson Thanks a lot, that's exactly what made the team excited and motivated for this jam ! We'll maybe make a sequel again in the future, who knows :D

Wow, what a great one !

My brain couldn't compute everything when i had to control both characters and dodge enemies and destroy them and reload the knight and destroy this wall and oh shit they damage me because they crash against the rail and oh no my knight is out of bombs and nooooo not that way aaa- You get the idea. But with a little practice it gets better. The gameplay idea is really cool but everything is a bit too "big" on screen for this type of game. By that i mean you don't really have a lot of time to react to the oncoming ennemies once you made one or two mistakes and then it's panic time. (Or at least that's what happened to me)

The artstyle. C'mon now. This was really really cool. The animations are funny, the lighting is great, everything blends together in a good way. The only things i would change would be to make the gauge a bit less "busy" to make the bomb counter more visible.

Really liked the concept and art, although unfortunately it felt off to control, not because of the movements and actions per se but rather, a delay of sorts i was feeling.

However that aside, i really liked the game and hope you can sort that issue out!

We thought a lot about the speed and that was a stat that changed a lot during the making. We have to reconsider some of these variables for sure. A great, inventive, challenging game! :)

The first thing I did was to check credits. :D A great representation! But is there no button to get back to the menu? :)

When in full-screen mode, in the menu, sometimes there is no golden arrow as a pointer but a white shooting aimer instead, which is a bit offset, so it's hard to click what you want. (In the small window it's fine.)

Once I figured out how things work and what I need to do, it became really fun! Very challenging, but in a good way - I wanted to get better. :) An awesome mechanic - controlling the two characters and the collaboration between them. Amazing! And of course the art and the music are really cool and fit the game and the atmosphere perfectly.

I managed to get a score of 1561 - sweating my ass off. :D I'm sure you're good at your own game, but have mercy on us noobs. :)

A really great concept though and a totally polished game! :)

What an impressive art, the sound of the game is also very well done, very pleasant to listen to and is not nauseating, a very fun mechanic, I can spend hours playing, I think the only thing I would change a little bit about the color palette, but it's really personal, congratulations to the team :)

The game looks really good and the control scheme is innovative and interesting. Nice music too!

I liked how the two characters are connected to each other and rely on each other. However, it was really difficult for me to get into as it felt way too hard to keep track of everything, juggling two characters, resource limits, cooldown timers and so many enemies and obstacles at the same time. It might have been balanced for 2-player mode but for me as a single person, it was way too overwhelming and I always died very quickly while feeling super incompetent. I personally think you should rebalance it to ramp up the difficulty far more slowly and maybe introduce one thing at a time because right now, you're expected to be quite familiar with all the systems from the get-go which didn't help.

Tl;Dr: I loved your game but I was totally overwhelmed by its difficulty.

Ah one more thing that just made everything harder and could probably just be removed to improve the game is that the hanging knight always went further and further down even without any inputs so another thing to keep track of on top of everything else was that I also have to pull him up every now and then. That felt kind of pointless.

I think the game could improve a whole lot by making the bombs a little more connected to the player's movement speed, feels really weird when im moving fast and end up in my own bomb because its too slow, also i kept trhrowing bombs on my head somehow and it was really irritating. Apart from that, really love the music and the graphics really well done on taht part.

Graphics and sound were amazing! I agree with a couple others that some of the mechanics were a bit strange, but I think it was more just me being bad at trying to play than the game itself.

Did I mention the graphics were amazing? Like, seriously, really good! :)

Because of the lack of time, the level design wasn't the main focus of the game. We will try our best to make the experience easier at first while the difficulty goes slowly crescendo in a future patch.

The fact that the knight goes down slowly is implemented to have an extra layer of difficulty because it's one more thing that you have to keep track and the player who controls the knight will be more active. Again, we will definitely look after more balancing in the beginning of the game so the player will have more time to assimilate every mechanics and everything happening on screen.

Also, the fact that the bomb throwing lacks of polish is a well-known issue and is already written-down in our todo list, we'll bring more patches and updates ASAP !

Perhaps the slow descend of the knight is cool in coop mode but I think in single player mode another layer of difficulty on top of everything is really not necessary but rather detrimental to the play experience. Maybe there can be a difference between the two modes here in the future :)

@rubixnoob13 I don't really have particular pointer, because it's the kind of thing you build in years and you don't really notice it. I don't know what's worth this advice is, but if I have to give an important advice that you'll see everywhere is to always look at references before drawing, it help you visualize what you're aiming for and see what have been already done. From there, by observing your references you'll have to bring your personal sensitivity to it, your idea.
