Nice concept, especially liked how the tutorial was implemented. I'm not quite sure what the USSR has to do with it, but I guess its just from a thematic standpoint? Simple enough game that was pleasant to play through.
Plus if you walk down the stares at the end, you fall through the floor and acend to your next 360° true form, which is fun.
A pretty fun little game! A little more polish would have gone a long way, but once you get the assault rifle it's a good twin stick shooter!
I also really like the style you went for, though some of the lighting issues that you can see on the kicking gif here do muddy it a bit.
I can't complain too much, it's good, I just wish it was a little more polished. Good job though!
Very nice game. I like that you made the game look cool with simple art. Also, there is a great sense of action in the game. The level design is very good! It's fun!
Here are my two cents for improvements: This game is about action, running and jumping. So I would even lean more into that and try to make less features but make them more polished instead. So instead of attacking and the jump attack, just go for the shooting for example and make that feel more satisfying with sounds, impact, screen shake, particles, lights and more accurate aiming. Less is more sometimes.
But don't get me wrong, this is a great game for a game jam! Keep up the great work! <3

A nice and short game. The level looked really good. The lighting and the camera perspective was very good. It is a great style and I love it.
As others have said, just a bit more polish on some of the core features would have went a really long way. Juicing up some of those hits or the shooting would make it feel really satisfying. You already have a nice art style, that extra bit of juice would really make it.
Overall, it is a nice game and I enjoyed the little play-through :). Good job to you all and cheers!

A lot of strong points in this game! The way you guide the player is really well done and the aesthetic is super pleasing as well! I can clearly see you value detail and I'm sure you wanted to be able to polish it a bit more (specially the animations and effects), but even without the polishing it's still a pretty good looking game! Good job :)
Short but super fun! Things really picked up when you get the gun and start flying kick enemies from across the room. I wish there were more levels!

Fun game! The use of the environment to guide player was really well done, and even though the level was short it has enough in it to make it feel like it is part of a bigger game. And a fun little bug I discovered was that you can walk down the stairs or whatever in the Thank you for playing room, which makes you fall through the world

Yes, the USSR was no socialist paradise, but this seems to be a pretty lazy, inflammatory take on "the dangers of the Soviet dorm," without much thought given to the jam's theme.
Ultimately, this felt a lot like a template project, with a generic art style and animation, hit with a splash of aimless "edginess" to justify its existence. I know this is just a game jam, but if you just want to shoot a bunch of nameless enemies, just make it demons in hell or aliens on the moon or whatever. If it's going to be a "shoot poor people in dystopia" simulator, maybe put a *little* more thought into the setting and story.
- Who are the enemies? Why are they attacking me? - Why are the residents of this block wearing prison jumpsuits? - If I'm trying to get the hot water in the building working, why would anyone want to stop me? - Why do enemies only use rifles *after* the player picks one up? - Why does the character look in the direction of the mouse when unarmed?
There were technical issues as well, including a severe slowdown once too many bullets/items are spawned, and the mouse-look direction was often inaccurate, delayed, or would simply get stuck. None of those are a big deal, though, since it's just a jam.
I sincerely apologize for being harsh, and I hope you don't take offense. As a project to develop your skills, this has great merit, and the team shows a lot of promise, obviously. Just completing a game of this scope in 72 hours is impressive and you should be proud of yourselves for that (many teams attempt less and fall shorter). But, as a piece of work itself, this game is borderline offensive from both a game design and story/setting perspective.

While I wouldn't mind playing some soviet version of die-hard nakatomi plaza type of game, starting as some poor guy stuck in one of the room wearing only a robe and some slippers, i wish there was more essence to the game. At least have 2-3 floors and some exit would make it like a proper game that have something to do with the theme of this jam. When I saw the first screen, with the guy standing on the balcony, I thought it will some game about escaping hostage situation by jumping down to other floors. Ignoring all that, I think if the fighting/shooting wasn't soo bugged, I would enjoy this game more, because we don't get that many postal-like shoothers those days.

it's extremely fun to moonwalk in this game once you figure out you can, though combat is extremely lacking in depth or understandability, that's ok because respawning has no punishment as far as i know, i also like that you get a machine gun as a weapon, that's hilarious. but you should fix the fact that you can shoot through walls. also i made a vending machine spin forever once. and then you fall through the map at the end, hilarious.

Nice shooter, this could be a roguelite in soviet style.

Nice graphic and music. I had some problems targetting enemies with the gun, sometimes it didn't pointed towards the mouse but a little above/below. Is it normal to be able to draw a firework with the gun after the game ends?! XD

Well done, good luck with your 20 ratings!
It's impressive that you were able to do full 3D graphics for this jam game! I particularly like how you had different run animations for running forward, backward, strafing, and moving diagonally. That was a nice touch

A really fun game. The combat mechanics, the graphics as well as the sound are cool. I like the isometric camera. Congratulations.
@viperux yes, this is canon ending to the story
