LD45 — Start with nothing

Kicked Out by DragonZBW 2019-10-09T15:12:29Z

Honestly one of the funniest games I've played so far ahahahahah! The voice acting is extremely well done! The lines are just on point and incredibly fun to listen too! You clearly invested a lot in the audio which I believe sets a great mood to the game. The mix between 3D and 2D art was well managed and quite satisfying. I was hooked from the beginning and felt like the game was really interesting! A great experience overall with a great and funny finish that [SPOILER ALERT!!] made me feel like I was talking to my actual grandma XD Congrats to the devs!

I enjoyed this game quite a lot! It's really well balanced and fun. Loved the 3d art, though I would recommend you worked on the UI and 2D art so it better matches the 3D (I know you probably didn't have the time to do so during the jam, and it's perfectly understandable)! There are many possibilities to make this game go an extra step which is awesome! It would be cool if there were some "oasis" spread around the world (few and well scattered), allowing the player to replenish his water bottle even if he was far away from the shops. Oh and one more thing, I don't know if you actually want this to happen, but I've seen some comments of players warning they got lost, in case you're considering preventing that you should have some sort of pointer/arrow pointing to the stores, or even have some key that makes the dogs go in the direction of the stores, so you'll have to follow them in case you get lost. Overall it's an amazing jam game, congratulations to all the devs involved!

The game is interesting but in my opinion the game design needs to be worked on quite a bit. I believe the difficulty curve starts to high which causes the game to be frustrating to most players. You should make it as clear as possible how to play the game from the get go! I had some bugs aswell. But it's still a good game for a game jam!

Incredible job on this one! The game is very fun to play, the "morph" mechacnic is super satisfying and I love the sound system you created! Awesome game :D

DEEP DIVE IN USSR by vlandemart 2021-04-27T17:33:05Z

A lot of strong points in this game! The way you guide the player is really well done and the aesthetic is super pleasing as well! I can clearly see you value detail and I'm sure you wanted to be able to polish it a bit more (specially the animations and effects), but even without the polishing it's still a pretty good looking game! Good job :)

Oh no, I opened the door and there was a fish! by OursBleu 2021-04-27T10:48:09Z

Very good looking game! You really nailed the deep underwater cave feeling too! Love the Subnautica vibes :)

Rip Deeper by Hozoku 2021-05-01T14:33:18Z

Very polished visuals and sounds! The gameplay itself could have some improvements, specially the interactions, where lots of times I grabbed something that didn't seem to be in front of me instead of the thing I actually wanted to pick up. Other than that this is a great 3 day project! Awesome job guys!

Deep Down 2 by Nyunesu 2021-05-07T09:22:53Z

Very polished and all-round fun to play game! I loved the graphics, the mechanics and the pacing of the game! All the mechanics were properly introduced at they're respective times and always felt like great aditions. Kudos :D

An Eggsellent Escape by GoldenEvolution 2021-05-01T15:00:55Z

Loved the art, the varied gameplay and the attention to detail! The game is quick but offers a lot of variation which makes it very fun! Sometimes I felt that the camera was to stuck on the Y-axis (maybe you could bring it a bit down), but other than that it was a great experience! Kudos for the parallax effects that were on point :D

Sharpy wheel by daine0 2021-04-27T17:00:09Z

There's definitely something interesting about the art style, the animations might be a bit to exaggerated, which causes some dizzyness, but good job on making something unique and with potential! About the gameplay, my main issue is related to the fact that the camera barely shows what's in front of us after we jump, which prevents us from making thought-out decisions. So maybe increasing the look-ahead time of the camera would be a good call.

But overall congratz on your game! Hope you enjoyed making it :)

I'm genuinely impressed with the amount of work put into this game in such a short time! The systems, the visuals and the audio are very well executed! Good job :)

P.S.: This style brings back memories!
