Incredible game, great take on the theme and very good graphics.

Incredible game, great take on the theme and very good graphics.
I loved the movement of the unicycle (after getting used to the controls)! I especially enjoyed the graphics as well.
Great audio and drawings, which make for a good mood. I'd have only liked a different font to be used, but apart from that very nicely done.
Fun game, I really liked the graphics for this one!
Very innovative game play!
I liked the game overall, however I would have liked the screen to be a bit larger and the movement to be faster.
Nice graphics and nice sound!
Definitely challenging!
I loved the graphics and the overall game concept. Great take on the theme!
Great take on the theme!
Nice and funny game!
Great game, I liked the concept of balancing the different needs a lot. The graphics were also pretty good.
I thought this was a great game! I liked the simplistic graphics and sounds quite a lot. I thought the restriction of the shooting direction just added to the game.
This is great game, I've played it all the way through, I've especially liked the music and the button mechanics.
As peachtreeoath I went for the enemies first as well. Cool concept, especially that you can resolve the situation in two different ways.
The graphics were really nice.
Really cool game. I just played a round and I'll go for my second round after writing this. There's two things I didn't really get initially: - How much workforce do I need to build a building - Even if my citizen relation is high the oil prices are low (I presume because it takes a while for the prices to adjust)
I suggest maybe adding the workforce information in the instructions (if it's a constant) or as a tooltip or something like that if it depends on the building.
Maybe making the oil prices follow the citizen relations more directly would resut in less confusion (Or maybe I'm not getting another aspect of the game and I'm completely off here)
The game was fun, I found myself playing it for a while. Well done!
Most of the complexity of the game came from the controls itself. Maybe either displaying the control keys on the characters or colour coding them would have made things more clear.
I liked the simply graphics style as well.
Great entry, fun to play. I agree with @likirus on the "smartcast" option, that would have been a great addition. I personally would have made the icons on the kritters a bit more visible by giving it a more contrasting colour or animation or something along the line.
I liked the concept and the game. It fit the theme really well in my opinion.
The only complaint I have is that I personally don't like the movement, but that might be just me.
Anyway, great entry!
Nice idea, we were playing with a similar idea at first (the more fame you have etc.), when we were juggling ideas.
@cameron-taylor Thinking about it now, I think maybe replacing the "Create" button with some sort of creative activity - could be as easy as choosing different options for a "video" you're creating, or just letting the player draw something - would have made the game more immersive. What do you think?
Great concept, graphics and audio. I thought it was really easy to get into and a lot of fun, even though it was quite simple. I think with some sort of more involved levelling system and maybe some items this could really turn into a really cool app/game.
First of all: Thanks for playing our money transporter game on stream yesterday. The feedback you gave us was really helpful!
This was honestly one of my favourite, if not my favourite game of the ones I played for this Ludum Dare.
Great graphics and concept. Really smooth feel to the game, just all around a great entry.
I personally would have considered antialising the tree, but given the time that's probably unrealistic.
Thanks for the feedback guys!
@capitanliteral @manan @amastryukov Yeah, level progression would definitely have been a good idea. To be honest it didn't even occur to us. It would have been reasonably easy to implement as well. Good point!
@amastryukov Unfortunately we didn't have time for music or sounds, but maybe we should have made it a higher priority. Next time around we'll definitely try to add some sound effect and music to our game.
@sebbernery Thanks for the tip, we'll definitely try that out the next time!
Fun game! Initially I didn't like the graphics too much, but they kind of grew on me. I especially thought the animations were pretty nicely done.
The controls also feel really good.
I wasn't quite sure whether something triggered my allies mutating. Adding some sort of trigger would have been cool I think, but that's debatable.
Great game! I especially liked the camera movement and the sounds.
I also liked the introduction to the levelling concept in Level 0, where the ball just automatically reaches its goal.
Having multiple balls also made for a fun experience, although the camera moved around very fast if one of the balls got out of the game and the average centre of the other balls was far away from the previous position. Maybe slowly adjusting the camera would have made for a better visual experience in that case.
Fun little game. I liked the graphics (the walking animation seemed off though, because of the legs, I wouldn't know why exactly) and audio.
I had trouble finding out how to control the game, unfortunately. I didn't read the description in this post and for some reason "N" started the game (Instead of "0" which was written in the game itself)
Great graphics and mood. The controls felt nice as well, which led to me playing the whole game. I really think if you added some more mechanics this could be made into a fully fledged game.
Unfortunately, I didn't get the relation to the theme before reading how the mechanics affect the storm.
All in all a good and polished entry. Congrats!
Good entry. I liked the graphics style and the audio especially.
One bug I had was that when a message appeared the game didn't take input but continued running. So at times, my character would just walk away. Nothing too major though.
A walking animation would have really helped get the graphics to the next level in my opinion, but that's nit picking.
I had similar problems as the other reviewers, I didn't get the controls at first.
I liked that I couldn't get past level one with all three jewels, it just fit the theme well.
Great game. I finished it, although I was a bit frustrated that I didn't find a way to open that chest thingy (if that's what it's meant to be in the bottom right).
I really liked the art style with the minimal shading.
At some point, the cursor got stuck on being a "hand" symbol, which wasn't a major issue though.
Hi, just letting you know, that your HTML5 link isn't working right now. I'll check back later to play your game!
Really cool game. I liked the concept, and it felt really great to get the hang of the game and to stop having to look at the keyboard.
The sound and graphics were spot on as well.
Fun game with a really cool concept.
I would have made the first level slightly easier to ease the player into the whole concept (Namely I would have started with one green cube)
I had a good time playing your game. I especially liked the audio and the graphics.
The only complaint I have would be the inventory system, I'm not too sure if I would have included the theme that way.
Good entry though!
Good looking game. Unfortunately playing it on a laptop with a touchpad didn't really work that well, but I suppose that's not what it was built for, so no problem there. I liked the music and the animations as well.
Cool concept. I just started going for as many citizens as I possibly could, which was clearly a mistake on my part. I agree with some of the reviewers that a gradual introduction to the mechanics would have helped the game.
Great interpretation of the theme. I felt really stressed while playing it, which weirdly enough is a compliment in this context, haha
I liked the graphics and the humour as well.
Great graphics and sound. The gameplay was fun as well. One thing you probably didn't have time for was a more visible animation that tells the player whether he hit an enemy (such as an explosion). Really great work though!
@sirpumpy Yeah, I checked out the post-jam just now. It's a really great improvement over the compo version. I enjoyed it and promptly send it to some of my friends. The feel of the game and the graphics are just really well done. Very enjoyable!
@miguel-montero Hi, just letting you know, that the itch.io link still isn't working for me :(
@ miguel-montero Don't worry, it happens. I'll play it now. Thanks for letting me know the link is working!
Cool game. I got to a hundred! Everything goes downhill pretty fast, if you start colliding, so esentially the initial phase of evading seems the most important part of the game to me.
The controls would have felt better had they been with the arrow keys in my opinioin, but I guess that's because you ported the game from the mobile app, so no problem.
There were some issues with the text being displayed incorrectly.
Overall the game had a really nice feel to it. I especially liked the sheer panic you get when the counter starts and you just try to wiggle the way free for those red blood cells
Great game. Amazing graphics, sound and just all around feel.
I especially liked the introduction screen where you were still able to try out the controls.
Initially, neither of us got how to "throw" the food and we started just putting the food on the brooms. After finding out the throwing trick it was a blast though!
Very cool game. At first, I was trying to get every beer that I could, just to see how it turned out. So it's really cool that you can essentially play the game in two different ways, so to say.
I really liked the screen twisting effect. The first time it occurred, I was like "WTF is happening" haha
Some ideas: - I would have liked all of the fonts to match the art style - Maybe adding a counter for beer and a counter for distance would result in a fun experience (maybe even adding a score that's calculated from those two values?)
Great little game. I liked the whole concept of it, it was fun to juggle supplying your party and giving the mule what it wants. The audio and graphics were nice as well.
Some ideas: - Maybe making the player character faster would have felt good - I would have progressively added more heroes to the party (not different models, just more people), maybe starting at one hero - The same progression could have been applied to the items. So to start with there could have only been tacos and then potions etc. would have been added
Nice game. I liked the simple concept and execution.
Some ideas: - The character movement could have been improved with some slight tweaks (Nothing major though, just working on the stopping motion; but that's just my opinion, it's definitely debatable) - Having the difficulty progress by having the tubes start out really high and then gradually descending would have been cool imho
Cool concept. It felt really satisfying to scan the items.
I think one thing they could have helped would have been to add a progression system. Maybe by starting with fewer items and thus giving the player a chance to learn the combinations for them.
Great entry!
It's amazing how polished the game looks for such a short amount of development time. Well done!
@Carraka We were hoping for someone to see the end screen :D
Great game, loved the visuals and audio. I actually hadn't played a game with this kind of concept before. I also really liked the level progression with different elements which kept me playing for more than a couple of rounds.
Well done guys!
Really cool art, I played the game all the way through, although I was confused by the "death world", because I didn't get the respawning part at first.
Some feedback: - Adding music would have really helped, even if it was just the first "fantasy music royalty free" clip that popped up on a google search, it's a small time investment in comparison to the return - The diagonal movement was faster than the horizontal/vertical movement, if both x and y movement is active instead of having x = x + speed and y = y + speed you could do x = x + sqrt(2) * speed and y = y + sqrt(2) * speed (Ignore this, if the movement was intentionally built like this)
Overall just a good compo entry, I'm definitely gonna take more time to look at your art and animations to try and learn from them :)
@becher You're right about the compo rules, I was thinking about the Jam rules. Music generators are allowed in the compo rules though, so maybe you could have a look at something like wolfram tones or something like that :)
I liked the music and the graphics, great job there! The movement on all the little things really made it come alive more :)
Oh dammit, I only made it to day 3 and died right on the doorstep of cold before making it in
The mood was great, I liked the sound of the footsteps on the snow and the little trail you leave. I also felt really relieved when finally getting back to my cottage.
All in all great entry, I'd have just upped the movement speed a little bit
Great entry! I loved the graphics & audio design. Also the way you slowly introduced the player to new mechanics was great.
Great entry! Didn't think I could wiggle my way up that ladder in the end, but I did it 😁
I loved the animation on the goose as well.
I didn't see the connection to the theme, but as the guidelines say, it's just one voting category, so not a big deal.
Would love to play unfortunately my laptop doesn't have a numpad 😅
@ryuk47 Thanks for letting us know, I totally forgot to click publish on itch as well 😅I published it just now! Free free to check it out!
@busldii The idea was that you help the ghosts get out of the loop that they're stuck in. They're always going in circles until you help them. But I definitely get why it's not clear 😅
Great art & simple but fun gameplay! Very nice entry!
I got to 13600! Really well polished entry, I love it! Really great job on the audio & graphics especially!
It would have been cool to have a stronger incentive to build a bigger railroad, maybe even just a gold nugget or something that you get (of course just points) when you build around. That way it wouldn't have been just about building bigger, but actually trying to get somewhere.
I absolutely loved the game, made it all the way to sweet retirement. And as and added bonus, I'm sure I'd know my way around Dresden, if I ever happen to be there haha
It was just so motivating to be able to drive a client immediately to where he needed to go without needing to have a look on the map.
The only times I felt frustrated were when I knew I wouldn't make it in time because I just had to search for the street on the map (especially in the beginning of the game), but that made the times I succeeded all too sweeter.
My favourite entry so far, keep it up!
Cute graphics & nice concept! Solid entry!
Some feedback: The player movement felt pretty slow and unresponsive, there's a great GDC talk on youtube if you're interested in it.
Very nice game, great art style and cool idea! It'd have been nice to enter the code via keyboard, but other than that great entry!
Nice entry, I found 4 endings in total! Loved the whistling :notes:
Nice graphics & audio! Solid entry fitting well with the theme!
I love the graphics, great gameplay idea, it was super fun to play! Great entry overall, really solid!
Some small feedback: I thought the instruction text on the top left wasn't that easy to find initially. And at least for me the game was super hard to play (on a trackpad :D)
Nice graphics & audio! Nice entry!
Some feedback: I thought the difficulty was quite low in the beginning to the point where I was wondering if anything was even changing, maybe you could just drop the first 3-4 levels.
My hi-score is 14, the satellite aligned with the towers in a way that I couldn't jump over it unfortunately :(
Great entry! I loved the audio, graphics and the gameplay as well! I felt the pressure providing soup for the ever insatiable customers haha Really well done!
Fun game! I had a couple of times where I was frantically trying to get to an air bubble, just to reach it just and time, my higscore is still only 256
@boltkey Amazing job! We never even managed to get that far! :trophy:
@thebmxeur Yeah you have a certain amount of moves that run out when you place tiles. You can fulfil the challenges on the right side to get more moves. We probably should have made that clearer, thanks for the feedback!
@elendow Yeah good idea, we were playing around with the idea of being able to replace tiles in exchange for moves or score, but we didn't go for it because of the time constraints. We'll keep it in mind for any future versions, thank you so much for your feedback!
@cninja Glad you liked it! Yeah we're already thinking of making a mobile version, if so we'd definitely support android as well :iphone:
584, not that far to go. I believe in you :rainbow:
@daf It might be that you ran out of moves. You get 25 in the beginning and need to fulfil the challenges on the right in order to get more. It's definitely something we could have made clearer
Great game, I loved everything about it. I got embarassingly long stuck on the second part of the game, but I managed to get through at the end
One of the best entries I've played so far for sure!
Incredibly well polished game! I loved the graphics and atmosphere. It's always amazing to me how little colours you need to make something so great looking.
Also I had a really fun moment where I needed to decide whether to bring back resources and be a bit slower or defend the base earlier. Obviously I was greedy...which led to my demise
Really nice game, loved the chill music in the background! Even though I was a bit overwhelmed at first I got the hang of it quite quickly actually.
The only thing that tripped me up was the oil demand not dropping when my trucks were there, so I thought something was broken, but it might just take a longer time to drop or be more independent from individual trucks than I thought
All in all really cool entry!
Nice little game! Really really nice graphics and also neat sound. Simple gameplay but it still made me replay a couple of times, although I have to admit most of the time I just dashed like a madman, because it was fun haha :D
All in all great entry!
Really nice game, had more than a few laughs playing this! I especially liked that you also put the endings that other people reached below. Great entry! :cookie:
I finally did it! Took me about twenty tries though  The level up system really kept me playing the game again and again. I thought the idea was a really funny take on the theme!
The only thing that frustrated me a little bit was the controls feeling very delayed.
Great entry!
Really nice graphics and very relaxing little game. Nice entry!
Cool little game! I managed to beat your highscore - 273!
Extra props for creating an NES game! Would be cool to see the code base :)
@ayced A sub 50...that's what people have been dreaming about for years
Such a great entry, just really nice and polished all around!
time-loop-traffice-record.PNG
More than once I had less than one second on the clock and was screaming at my monitor. Best entry I've played so for. Great job you guys!
Nice game! Loved the art style and the general feel of the office. Little details like the paper plane really make it come m ore alive :)
Unfortunately I got fired, because I was too busy checking out the office haha
Great entry! And cool take on the theme. It was a very relaxing experience to play it all the way through :) Good job!
The game was incredibly fun and the feeling of playing drunk is so spot on!
I loved the visual effects and the innovative use of sound effects. Really really great entry!
Cool game, nice fit for the theme. I liked the audio especially..the background music was groovy :) Great entry!
Great art & sound! I was laughing quite a bit when I accidentally forgot to feed the bunnies 😅
Nice art and music! Really enjoyed hitting the sheeps 😂
Maybe it was just me, but I had problems starting the game, because I didn't see 'Space to begin' in the bottom left 😅
@leofiremage The lighting the torches would have been a great idea! Ah well, I'm sure the map wasn't that bad haha
Such a beautiful and funny game! Really enjoyed playing and it getting progressively harder! Loved reaching into the bag and bending my arm.
Amazing job, well polished. Great entry!
Amazing entry! Enjoyed the ride back home. The art style was amazing, as well as the audio. The game was super moody. Not to mention that it was funny as well! I just had a little issue that for all other rats the rat model itself didn't load and they were just floating clothes. :/
Great entry!
11.49! I did it! @keithswanger What's your best time?
I have to admit though, that I really had no clue what I was doing for the first two levels. After that I thought it would get boring, but since I could speed up the adventurer and had to think ahead for the last levels it was actually kind of fun and a bit intense towards the end!
Nice graphics, nice walking sound audio. Gameplay wise I just wished there would have been some changes to the level, like maybe an elevator platform that unlocks.
Great entry, really enjoyed myself!
Very nice entry! Beautiful graphics. Nice idea to have the different elements like the shop and the bait bucket as things that had to be fished out
Amazing art, audio and mood! Loved the concept of it as well, even though apparently I'm really bad at taking photos haha
Great entry!
Fun game and good genre mashup! The graphics are nicely done as well in my opinion.
I personally would have preferred, if the movement wasn't tile based and maybe the attack key would have been separate from moving. Maybe having the crop grow slower would have also put more weight on the farming aspect.
Overall great game though, with an impressive feature set. I really enjoyed playing it, I think I'll go play another round now :D
Fun game, I definitely enjoyed fighting the enemies, however, I would have liked to have more of a heads up between the notes playing and me having to hit the notes. Otherwise really cool entry!
I really liked the art style and the game in general. Especially the level system kept my playing. Personally the controls felt a bit too sluggish for me, but apart from that, great entry!
Nice game and cool concepts. I enjoyed the minimalistic art style as well.
Just some feedback: On one of the levels a blob moves on three blocks and esentially only minimally changes his position after a turn, which leads to a lot of waiting if you have the blob in that state.
That wasn't a big deal however. Anyway, great entry!
Nice entry, definitely true to the theme.
I liked that bother players had to make their moves and only then the situation would be resolved. However, I think it might have been even more interesting if the other player's moves wouldn't be displayed so that both players could attempt the same moves and there would be some sort of random resolution maybe.
This would probably prove difficult though in local multiplayer, given that the other player would have to turn around anytime you make a move.
One piece of advice from me would be to make a splash screen explaining the controls if they aren't intuitive enough or to highlight the usable game elements (as you did when a player was selected with the floor tiles he could go on).
I think if this would have been simply expanded to a pulsating circle or square around selectable players, it would have mitigated a lot of the confusion I had since it took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to control the game.
All in all, interesting and thought inspiring entry. Keep it up!
Nice concept and great execution! Well done!
Given that you wrote you wanted to continue developing, I have a small suggestion: Before the defence bubble bursts, you could make some kind of animation to warn the player about it. I think taking out some of the randomness by ensuring the player always has what he needs.
Cool game and great concept. My girlfriend and I had a lot of fun playing (end score 3-5).
Some feedback: The controls felt very sluggish, I personally think normal platformer controls would work, but probably turning up the acceleration would work too.
Also maybe ammunition or just a cooldown timer on the weapon would help against shot spamming.
Great entry overall, keep it up!
Best entry I've played so far. I especially liked that you put the instructions on the controls inside the game itself. And the fact the you listed the time and commands count at the end will probably make me play it another time. Well done!
I just had to come back to this game and try to speedrun it a bit
type'n'jump_highscore.png
@Richard N Silva Sure thing. Here it is. (As others have mentioned a RESET command would be really helpful for speed running, but I'm sure you're aware of that already :) )
type'n'jump_highscore2.png
Nice minimalistic art style, I like what you've done with it in your progress update as well, it seems to be going in a good direction. I think some music would have really helped the mood. Nice entry overall, I'm interested in seeing where this is going.
