The art here is great! I wandered around for a while and had fun talking to all of the different people, I love the subtle humor in your responses. Unfortunately, though, I can't for the life of me figure out how to collect wood.

I love these types of games where you roam around and fight/gather supplies in a land of NPCs. This was a really enjoyable experience - there were a few bugs, but nothing you can't work around when playing. For only having 72 hours, this is quite fleshed out! Great job. :)

@benhumphries Ah... You must buy an axe on a merchant and then you can cut the tree (it take 10 hit). after that you gather wood on the fallen part. @timestop yeah, that was quite hard to make all this in time so I was quite short on the polish.
The art and sound were great. But I felt the camera could have been smoother because it was going way to forward and that too fast. Good work!
nice music and graphic. but i dont understand how to pick up food.
I got brutally eaten. The chopped down trees look like they have a 4 on it which confused me for a while. I spent a long time punching trees and then a long time trying to cut down the already cut trees.
Great game! I was very immersed.
But I wasn't able to complete it. I don't understand why some guys stop to follow me, and sometimes they block my way.

Really cool, in the end lost almost all of them. Didn't manage to find my boat, got to 10% but had over 90 wood. They kept getting hungry and the wabbits were slippery.
Really nice fun game, plays nice with the theme. I enjoyed conversations between them.
I like the idea (anything with vikings is great) and the artwork was pretty nice but it feels a bit awkward to play at the moment, the way the player slides around and trying to use the axe on the wolves or rabbits is kind of tricky, it just needs a bit more work to make it feel smoother to play. Also sorry to be picky but if the music was not made as part of the jam I think you should probably opt out of the audio category. Felt like it has potential though.

Thanks a lot for all the feedbacks!
@stevie-bushman yeah, the 4 on wood was accidental but I should have corrected this.
@dimesto52 you should hack rabbits to gather meat.
@saviourgaming the camera traveling was a choice, maybe not a good one, to ease the memorizations of the areas.
@eric-florio when you don't have enough food for every one they progressively stop to follow you (also they can be blocked by objects, I had no time to build a complex pathfinding system)
@mess110 yep, with more time I would have add some idle times to the rabbits and the boat should have been more central on the island.
@automatonvx yeah, more polishing would have great, for the music I wasn't sure but that's mainly a rating for the work of Patrick de Arteaga (plus my meagers sound fx) and how it fit the game. That's a feedback I m happy to have.

Pretty big world! I'm not sure if it was my keyboard, but sometimes I would get stuck moving in a direction.

@strega yeah I 'think that the world may be too vast especially for a game jam ^^ For the pathfind, only waters and obstacles block the player, I'm not sure what other thing could have happened.

Interesting take on the theme, the more followers you have the harder it is to move around :P All joking aside this is quite something for the short timespan. The mood was perfect. My only recommendations are to fix the camera transitions and the AI pathfinding, they can get in the way of playing quite frequently.

@donvermo thanks for your feedback! yeah, I will look at those issues.
Nice game dude ! Nice graphics, nice gameplay, good job !!
Nice graphics ! But i experienced some annoying bugs that made me die.. I don't know how but my player was going down for no reason, and it was impossible to go up. Also when i got more vikings, i cut a tree and i got 2 fallen trees on the ground instead of one. Player movement is too slow I think, and a walking animation could have been super cool. The idea of taking more and more vikings bros is very cool, but I think it goes the opposite of the theme because the more you have, the easier it is ! Liked the humor "You stink ! You farted again ?" haha Overall it's a good game but bugs need to be fixed

Nice game! It feels very polished and the graphics are nice! For one man and only three days, that's very good! But if the player dies, nothing happens. The game should at least show something like "game over".

Good entry. I liked the graphics style and the audio especially.
One bug I had was that when a message appeared the game didn't take input but continued running. So at times, my character would just walk away. Nothing too major though.
A walking animation would have really helped get the graphics to the next level in my opinion, but that's nit picking.

Thanks a lot guys! I will look at those issues and I will add some animations too.
@antoined73 Everything is not really easier when you have more vikings because they eat your food but you need them to go further. I also planned to add quarrels but I was too short on time.
Yes, I think that I will add a run to the player.
Really nice art style and solid base for a full game, hope you continue working on this! Had a few minor issues but nothing that wasn't mentioned above. Impressive outcome for that short timeframe!
I really like the art and music but I finally found it a bit repetitive, but it's mostly because I'm not fond of this genre of games. I haven't felt a sense of urgency or panic even against several wolves. But again, the mood is really great and the theme is well respected when you have to find the vikings you lost because they were stuck into a tree :)

Cool game. I slaughtered some bunnies with my fist and gave some meat to a hungry fella. Got myself first party member. Bought few axes and cut some wood for another. Ended up having good sized party. Music was nice and I like the theme.
However lack of UI was frustrating. Would have been great to display how much resources I had in a resource based game. Player movement felt too slippery. Sometimes tree fell out of the screen. Party members didn't follow me to another screen. Party member chat came in the way of the dialog option. Lot of small stuff like this that I believe will be resolved with more play testing.
Good luck with the game!

A viking that said he would follow me if I chopped gunthar(?) with him, ended up killing me, while we were chopping together. That's me on the ground, in a pool of blood:

Thanks for your feebacks
@keppu don't you have the ressources at the top of the screen?
@cubeeo aouch, sorry about that ... Vikings are quite easily offendable. I think that it was Einar that chopped you as you may have hit him first while trying to cut some tree.
Have killed Gunthar? He's a viking not as brave as the others.

I managed to build the ship just as my crew was about to starve, yay! :D
Nice game! I really enjoyed the interactions between the vikings. Graphics were nice, and I liked the flute, even if it became a bit repetitive in the end.
There were a few bugs with controls, and the henchmen would occasionally get stuck. At some point I thought two of them had fought between themselves to death, but it turned out that I'd left them around near a house. I could see the connection to the theme, and in this case there is potential to make it even stronger (emphasise the enemy consumption, or get the interactions between henchmen really impact the game the more you get).
Congrats!

**@ithildin yeah you've seized it! Well done!**
Indeed I would have loved to push further the tensions between vikings. I will probably work on this.
A good game and nice idea, just very frustrating having to constantly go backwards and forwards. Pathfinding for the AI was also not great, they kept getting stuck on trees and animals. Overall, nice work!
Pretty cool! It would be a really fun game if it were turned into a larger project
Popped on the edge of the sea, runned around, were hungry, murdered rabbits with bare hands, it feeled good
Tried to cut off trees with bare hands, didn't work, was sad.
Saw they were NPC's selling me useless stuff, all I wanted was an axe, so I continued my way, killing rabbits on the plains.
But then, as I were talking to another random NPC, I wondered what happened if I tried to click on him. He started to run after I punched him several times. He ran off in the plains. I ran after him. A wolf saw us, he started to run after me while I was running after a random NPC. Then I killed the NPC, and started to run after a rabbit while the wolf was running after me.
Murdered a fuck ton of rabbits, one innocent yellow-bearded lad, and died as a hero in a tremendous bare-hand wrestle with a wild wolf.
Still haven't gotten myself an axe.
10/10 can hit NPCs (that's the only LD game in which I could do it so that's full points on fun, even if I think I haven't played the game like it was meant to be)

I tried the game again. I can see the UI when I click the full screen, but they don't seem to fit when not in full screen mode. It might be my windows display settings as I have 150% scaling of the 1920x1080 resolution. I'll update my rating. :)

**@lautregars **
You killed it!
In fact you can play it like you want, and killing lads is a part of the gameplay as you may see it in the dialogues.
@thebillington yeah, i was short on time.
@pizzatotino thanks, I'm happy that you like it!
A bug made me move down during a dialogue so I couldnt click on the replies, and got stuck ;_; Not sure if it was me going down or my crew pushing me.
Anyway, excellent idea, once I understood I was about to hire a crew I got hooked. Aside from bugs, hard controls and annoying talking popups when walking near npcs, the only thing truly missing would be some kind of minimap, to know in wich screen I am, and wich ones I still need to visit. Good job overall o/
I forgot about the theme for a while, until I almost got stuck because my gang was in the way. Good game! I like the graphics and the concept. The camera choice was my biggest problems, since a few places were not well aligned, making them hard to reach, and making the game a bit disorienting.
Pretty fine game it had me hooked till the moment I finished it.
But there are some issues: pathfinding is bad(both for enemies and allies), UI buttons sometimes doesn't work sometimes and scales/positions itself on screen badly - they are often offscreen. Gameplay is a kind of slow and empty.
Overall, I liked the game, but you should keep working on it.

Thanks a lot for your feedbacks!
@vlandemart yeah I'm thinking about keeping working on it. How did you scale your screen to break the interface?
I liked the way that the game looks and plays, and it's very ambitious in its scale. I would have liked to have played more, but unfortunately, fairly early on I got stuck with a game breaking bug where my man and his companion couldn't go viking any more because they just kept going to the right, very, very, very slowly.

@badly-drawn-rod I will check this bug, on what version did you played?
@naminuz dialogue windows. In windowed they are small and almost always are in the screen. In fullscreen they are almost two times bigger and often go out of screen borders. window.JPG fullScreen.JPG
