Nice and simple! I hooked the note!

kamizenki 2025-04-09 16:31

Artstyle and animation are very good, I'm chilling right now lol.

Amazing game, very complete. The adition of endless mode also increases the overall game value. Amazing work yall

Loved the artstyle. Fun to play!

pretty fun gameplay loop, not a huge fan of this kind of art style and music but its definitely fun!

runningopenloop 2025-04-10 05:45

Very nice, really enjoyed. However too hard? I wouldn't say that -- but I would say that perhaps the game overstayed its welcome... but since not restore, I was compelled to see the anglerfish!

Other feedback, (1) I was a bit confused with the art for the first brown fish... I didn't realize there was a difference between the anglerfish and the brown fish... I thought I was just doing what I was supposed to be doing... then I realized the anglerfish was the goal and at the very bottom. --> I guess I didn't read the instructions well, perhaps if that fish was another color like yellow, it would have been more clear they were different fish (2) I think a clean red X for those (guardfish?) would have been better to be clear it was not possible to catch. (3) I am still a bit confused about the middle power-up, was it just supposed to help me avoid?

But overall, very nice. I really enjoyed it, the art kept me going.

Fun game! I the idea that you first wanna grab fishes nearby then mostly avoid fishes to go deeper very interesting. Like many other games where you fall fast, it's a little hard to react to whatever suddenly appear at the bottom of the screen. I think that in the context of a jam specifically, you may want to make the story mode shorter (<5min) so that everyone get to experience the full game, then the endless mode is a neat feature for the fans. There are no credits for the music, did you make it? It fits the mood.

Hey had a great time playing this on stream here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2428803190?t=1h5m33s

Absolutely love the art, I think the pacing and progression could use a little smoothing out. I liked Rhoka's idea of having the speech bubble show a target fish that helps progress the player.

Fish more. Worry less.)))

Beautiful graphics, fitting music and SFX that you don't notice because they fit perfectly. Also, the font. However much I tried though, I haven't managed to catch anything. Tried high and low and right at the fish mouth, it just swims right past the hook. It's entirely possible that I suck at games, but throw me a bone. :)

Also, when unity's progress bar gets to 90%, it gets stuck for a good minute with no indication that anything is happening. Does this in Safari and Firefox.

Very nice entry you have here. Always love a good fishing game! I was a little confused at first about the sunglasses fish that I was going for and wasn't sure if I was just missing it or it was way down lower. I like the idea of fishing up new baits and the shop in order to access those features however I'd like it if I could hit ESC to leave those menus rather than have to hit the key again as sometimes those menus covered up the key you hit to open the windows and I'd forget momentarily. I also think telling the player in the thought bubble to catch specific items in order to help guide progression would ease a lot of the confusion. Overall nice job!

Pretty simple, but well executed. I liked the water boosting sections, added a nice element of skill factor to the game which I didn't expect to see. I liked the progression of picking up new things from the ocean as you played. Perhaps a bit more feedback on the UI would be nice, but overall great work.

Very addictive... The concept is simple but it works super good. I love the art style btw, good job

bamboodesigner 2025-04-11 12:34

Very fascinating graphic! Game design is quite convincing. However I just couldn't get the shallow water fish, I don't know if it is a bug or timesetting issue.

cresceda 2025-04-11 12:35

Cute game, nice art! Reminds me of the school days where flash games were prominent. Fun to play!

noagard 2025-04-11 12:46

Chill, charming, and beautifully crafted! Some clarity around progression and catching mechanics would really help, but overall it’s a super cozy and satisfying experience!

lexi 2025-04-11 13:28

Very nice entry! Beautiful graphics. Nice idea to have the different elements like the shop and the bait bucket as things that had to be fished out

jonasolsson 2025-04-11 21:36

Nice game! Easily the game i've spent most time playing this far in the jam. Nice graphics, good music, good gameplay and pretty addictive. Still wonder where the big fish that likes stakes is although I got 49600 points :D It's really hard getting both the depth and getting past all the other fish lurking about. I had a great time playing and I learned that lady fish likes parsley! Great work:)

pabloa31 2025-04-11 23:55

I had a really good time playing, it felt relaxing and motivating at the same time. I love the art style of the fishes and the animations, the game loop feels nicely balanced with the upgrades. At times, I struggled a bit between spawn rounds, but I noticed it helped me to grab some upgrades and find the last fish easily. In general, nice work!

noodlehoof 2025-04-12 01:10

finally got a chance to play it and i love it! the businessmen fish do piss me off when i get a good cast and the swipe the bait, but other than that i feel like it was very well scaled. also loved the bubble streams. great job!

thomas-higgins 2025-04-12 01:58

I love the style of this game, the use of different baits for different fish was also a nice touch as well as unlocking things by finding them made for a very relaxing and fun fishing game!

constance 2025-04-16 06:06

This was a simple idea, but you guys managed to add a lot of elements to expand on it. From the shop, upgrades, collectibles, etc, which really added up to the fun and addicting factors. Well done!
