Cool game! Impressive amount of both visuals and audio for a jam, and some clever game design on top of that! I enjoyed the movements and the visuals of the characters and the robot balls. I made it to the third climbing level, where I somehow couldn't figure out how to get to the final platform in time before the laugther of the giant metal ball (so close, yet so far away?). It became a bit repetitive towards the end, and it might have been worth really polishing the first level rather than aiming long. But as I said, very impressive work and I had a nice time playing it :)
I made it to the 4th level (falling sequence?) and it became unplayable with no character and the game just restarting. It looks like the model was there because I saw a small shadow flicker, but it wasn't playable. That's unfortunate because I was enjoying it! The 3rd level was a little wonky (I couldn't tell why I was dying/restarting). The game was beautiful, audio was pretty good, too. I loved the egg acquisition animation. And I loved the egg seemingly added just to make a pun in the title. Good job!
@jakob-willforss Thanks for the feedback, the reason the game is kinda long is because I had this concept in mind for a while and I was too stubborn to just make one polished level so my bad haha. I changed a tiny bit about the level to make it a bit easier
@harrison-dunn Thanks so much for the feedback, I hopefully fixed the bug that caused you to get stuck in a loop *crossing fingers*
@goldenevolution yep! you fixed it. I was able to finish it this time. Though the 3rd level still stumped me. I finally figured out you were supposed to be hiding behind the bushes. But they looked so similar to the bushes in level two that caused you to fail that i didn't realize they were hiding spots.
@harrison-dunn Ahh I see, I guess I should've made that more clear. Thanks for playing!

Really good job! The animations and art were really good! I loved how the it was really like 2 games in one! Good job!
You did such a good job fitting 3 unique levels, great voice acting and really compelling visuals. You nailed the jam dude.

Great work had me sticked with the game The cinematics were amazing with those sound effects and the moderate difficulty of the game made it quite fun to play Overall : 9/10 for the game
Thanks everyone for the positive comments <3

To me this game deserves a high rating because of the pixel art and how do you manage to make so the robot truly scares the player.

Really awesome! Its like many little games within a game and I cant believe this was a solo project! Well done!

Really an amazing job! A single person project that has such a big amount of different content, and its also polished? Great job! The only issue I had was the jump control in the first section of the game, but after that part, 10/10 would play again
@cekitian Thanks! Yea the jumping in the first section isn't the most optimized and I didn't have enough time to fix that in the end unfortunately

Wow the game is so polished! Everything is great: the musics, the particles, the art style, the cinematics... Good job, it's really impressive.
Nice game! I love the sound design lol, not to mention the entire atmosphere of the game, from the glowing of the red laser, to the little dust particles that shoot out from your feet.

Really cool game, I think the concept of hiding from these robots. I would have preferred to see the gameplay stick with the first 'game type' and be more fleshed out. The narrative elements are nice, but I think it would be stronger if you developed one style of gameplay further rather than switching to similar but distinct game modes. Well done.

Pretty cool ! There is definitely a lot of work here, both art and gameplay-wise. Levels are varied and fun. I liked the eerie atmosphere of the beginning, even though the voices of the later levels made it a bit more silly.
Only bug I found was that the screen would get stuck when restarting after finishing once (which isn't too much of a problem, since it only seems to happen after a first playthrough :p).

Not sure i understood the connection with the theme but it's realy interesting ;) and great work for a compo! i suppose you are inspired by Bleed, am i right? The art is cool and the variety of levels offered are incredible if i could do a simple review i would say that jumping is hard to use, because hitbox is higher than character sprite and gravity is verry low. Maybe it's juste my feeling and i'm alone thinking that. But be carefull with reading input, we could jump repetitivly holding space ;) .
An awesome game with lots of variety to keep you on your feet. Really feels like I went on a whole adventure in less than 10 mins. Amazing job with the art and atmosphere. The peaking animation was so cool!
Thanks for the kind words everyone!
@becher No clue what Bleed is but I'll make sure to check it out! The playercontroller for the platforming indeed needed some more work, but it's really hard to get it perfect in a short amount of time for someone like me who doesn't really make platformers that often haha
I love the level of visual and audio polish here! With a bit more depth to the gameplay, this could become a really cool post-jam game!

beautifully executed, loved the background parallaxing and light rays, and great game time and mechanic diversity!
I was really surprised by the variety of gameplay types between levels. Fantastic graphics, nice sound effects (especially voice over) and music. Jumping was really hard to get used to in the beginning but I've managed to beat the game eventually. Overall incredibly polished game, had a lot of fun. Good work!

I chuckled with the pickup animation sequence :) Movement felt good. One thing I would like is to either have the sentry bots either insta-kill me on detection *or* make it so that the laser beams are move avoidable so I have a chance to still live after being detected. I feel right now it's in this middle ground where my death upon being detected is just drawn out and that is a little frustrating.
@cacciatc Thanks for the comment and feedback! Once you get detected, you can actually hide again and they will lose interest in you

It was a pleasant surprise to discover the multiple changes in gameplay
Great job fitting multiple platformer game modes into one entry with a common theme and a good reuse of assets.

Awesome, this might be the most complete game I've played so far! Multiple mechanics, great varied graphics, sound effects and music and even with voice acting! I especially liked the atmosphere and look of the first section, as others have said. My tip for platformers as someone who has zero authority on the subject would be to make the hitbox slightly smaller than the sprite apart from maybe at the feet. I think that usually feels fine.
excellent game, interesting to change gameplay everytime. =)
@pavelc Thanks for the kind words and the tip! I'll keep it in mind for next time when I'm working on another platformer!
This is impressive! Wow. Great art style and game play and mechanics. Also like the small gradual tutorial. Well done!
That was a lot of fun and a whole lot of variety packed into such a short game. Wonderful job!

I like how every level felt different from one another. Really amazing for a game jam. The jump feel a little bit awkward. Overall a fun game. Good job!

Altough the game looks like a classic platformer, it has anteresting setting, definately has potential. There were a few minor wishes for improvement like perhaps adding some miss chance to robots so I could use it with a deft dodge? Other than that, very solid work!

Great artwork. A nicely polished experience. The tutorial said up arrow was jump. Up arrow did nothing. I would have preferred up arrow to space for jump. The different gameplay styles in the different sections was interesting though it felt a bit disjointed.
I love how much variation there is in this game! I really didn't expect the gameplay to turn into an endless runner, and then I confront a boss with multiple stages?? Very nice!
Insane work! You nailed the pixel art <3 It would be nice if you could also play using a controller. So far only the horizontal movement works.

Wow great work! Pixel art is nice audio is great. Cant say anything bad, i just would want more levels :D
Wow! I gotta be honest, during the first level I thought this was an okay-ish platformer. But then each level changed a bit. Visually I especially loved the second one with the parallex background, so beautiful. I also thought it was interesting to have this monster peaking while I was hiding behind bushes really cool!
I think gameplay wise this hiding + jump'n'run combination is really cool and I would love to see more of this.

Loved the art, the varied gameplay and the attention to detail! The game is quick but offers a lot of variation which makes it very fun! Sometimes I felt that the camera was to stuck on the Y-axis (maybe you could bring it a bit down), but other than that it was a great experience! Kudos for the parallax effects that were on point :D
Sweet compo game. I really liked the variety of game styles. 3f5a0.png
Very very good game, short but very nice. Graphics are beautyfull.

Great game!
The amount of things in this game is impressive, and yet you managed to keep everything concise and diverse. Every part introduces new intuitive gameplay, new beautiful artworks, and progression to the moody story. The platforming gameplay is not perfect, but that is soooo hard to get right and when I try it's way worse.
Good job all around and thanks for the game!
Really good entry! I had fun playing this game and was able to finish it. I got involved with the graphics, actually... It sets up the mood of the game really well and got me interested in discovering the entire story behind the character and the world he was living in. The idea of a boss (the big eye) chasing you and you defeating him with mechanics that did not involve a player attack was a nice and creative touch. Good job!
