When the police tries to stop you by overtaking you from under your car, this is not a bug this is a feature! A hilarious one at that :)! Great work!

@atomicptr haha, thanks a lot! :yellow_heart:
This is fun. Love the art style. Nice clean and crisp graphics. Simple gameplay, but there is something about the over-the-top physics. I miss sound/music but overall a very good compo entry.
I like it! Nice graphics and controls feel decents
I miss some game screen explaining the game mechanics related to winning or losing $
Ended with 4596$ :smile:
I managed to escape with 3335 euro! Yay! 🚓 Police cars often stuck in my car, and it's a bit annoying :grimacing:
The game runs a bit slow on my machine (6600 XT) on default settings, but, overall, everything is OK. Good job!
Thanks everyone for playing the game! :heart_eyes: And yes, I'm aware of the performance issues and I tried to address them at least a tiny bit in the *Fixed* version of the game, but truth to be told this was my first time doing 3D in Godot and I probably made some dumb mistakes and decisions performance-wise. :shrug: Oh well
This was fun to play, the controls/physics feel very satisfying. Despite the gameplay being very simple, it shows that making a game play well goes a long way in the enjoyment it provides! My favorite part was when a traffic cone got stuck on the roof of my car, making it look like I had a little party hat.. Unfortunately the police decided that I can't have fun things (I bet they were jealous) and they bumped it off of me D:
This was fun!
I don't have any major complaints, maybe just that there doesn't seem to be a way to loose? I've tried to intentionally stop and let the police catch me, and they didn't do anything :slight_smile: Not that it matters too much, evading the cars and the police in motion is fun enough.
I really like the graphics, it's all very simple, but effective. Especially at night with particles enabled (disregarding the performance issues).
It's a pity there isn't any sound and music, those would help the game a lot.
Very solid entry overall, well done!
Really nice game! I loved all the lights and particle effects. Night mode looked really cool, even though I couldn't run it properly on my machine :( The police AI was highly erratic in a good way, and generally made more chaos than me (they even decided to ram a random car near me at max speed one time, completely knocking it out), which was quite funny. The lack of sound was unfortunate but understandable, and I felt like gaining money happened at random, but otherwise, great entry!
Great game! I like police car AI, lights and night mode a lot! Also there is cool physics interactions. Maybe aggressive behavior of citizen cars a bit strange. Keep up the good work!

Haha I completed it and avoided the inevitable for now... This screen made me laugh, good job!
Bumping cars is a lot of fun, the game is missing challenge though. Lack of sound effects is my only other problem otherwise a great entry :thumbsup:
Success!! I made it out with 2221.
I liked the feel of this game. The car was responsive but didn't fly out of control if I got heavy-handed on the controls, and it felt like you were nudging me back onto track a lot, in a helpful way that still left me feeling in control and not on rails or babysat.
When I collided into others, I also liked it! It's not realistic that I get away so easily while they go flying, but it worked really well within the game. The cops caused tension, but the failure states were easy-going enough that I felt comfortable taking huge risks, which was enjoyable freedom.
It felt a bit bare without sounds and could have used a little more development, but you did well designing the scope that you did tackle, and I enjoyed giving it a quick play.
Great job!
Huge thanks to everyone who played the game! :blush:
I agree with you, I wish I had more time to add sound effects and tweak the gameplay so it is actually possible to loose. But that would the game into the Jam category and I was aiming for Compo. That being said, I'm continuing development and slowly fixing all the issues and adding missing features into the game. I've already fixed the bug where the police "merges" into the player, the police AI, and many other things. If you'd like to check it out or even follow along, see the game's [Github repository](https://github.com/martindzejky/heist-game) or follow me on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/martindzejky).
Amazing Game but a bit similar like mine you know :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
@alight indeed! :laughing:
Nice game, I'd just wish for a soundtrack fitting the action on the streets at night! :P I didn't really figure out how you gain money so I just tried to keep as much of it as I could. But nonetheless, really enjoyable, especially when battling the police!
Yessss more destruction! I only made it out with 1237 moneys but those police people will regret chasing me on the wrong side of the road!
There are some very nice gameplay-isms here; I especially appreciated that if I rammed a car sideways fast enough I could send them spinning in one hit. That and tricking police into hitting oncoming vehicles (tricky but doable!). Or just making them crash into eachother.
What would have been extra nice is something like knocking boxes off a delivery truck so the police crash into them, you know something more you can do beyond avoiding or wrecking them directly with your own car. Then by playing smart you could avoid losing precious money to unnecessary collisions.
Really good stuff!
I enjoyed it! very well done!
This one was really fun! I liked how the police showed up when you commited crimes, like driving on the wrong side of the road(which i did for most of the run XD) The controls felt good, i liked how fast i moved. The gratuitous "delay the inevitable" felt a little shoehorned it right there at the end, but other than that i really don't have any compaints. Good Work!
I think I remember playing the exact flash game you drew inspiration from :D . Playing feels good, only bug I found is that the police can go under the player vehicle sometimes (I played the first version you submitted). Great job!
That was pretty good! Sorry you didn't manage to get audio in, it would've done a lot. But it feels good to drive. I really like how the car snaps back to driving straight ahead instead of sliding around more realistically, it fits this game well and really makes you feel like you're weaving from side to side like a proper car chase without frustrating physics 💪 I think it's a little bit of a copout (pun not intended) on the theme side since the inevitability isn't really part of the game itself (you can finish the level; maybe it should've just been infinite instead?) and I didn't seem to get chased very often but it was fun when I did, finding ways to make the cop cars crash and lose me 😎 The night mode is a cool bonus and really adds to the mood. Well done!
