Ooh I love the graphic style, you really managed to capture the feeling of a nuclear power plant. The cameras help give the player that eerie feeling of being watched, which enforces that anxiety when trying to defuse the situation.
My biggest problem with the game being the font used in the instruction manual, it's really difficult to read! I would strongly suggest using a more readable font in the manual, especially since it's part of the core function of the game.
This has huge potential!

@junklab Thanks for the feedback! You're right about the font, we became a bit accustomed with it by working on the game but G-B, N-H are really alike in this font.

Agreed, and amazing intro. The font is pretty unreadable and I couldn't get myself to understand the game. the other stuff is amazing
Took one play to find out where the instructions are and parse them, but really enjoyed the atmosphere and the panic of a collapsing reactor that you don't know how to operate. The failure cutscene is just a bit too long, especially on that first play when you have no clue what's happening.
First 5 minutes I really just wanted to go and [just](https://giphy.com/gifs/work-homer-simpson-8EmeieJAGjvUI)
Really nice art design. Agree that the font is difficult to read, though that could be considered part of the difficulty? A lot of information to try to retain too as you're defusing each situation, died the first time just reading through the manual not realizing there was a catastrophe brewing to me left. Could definitely see this as a fully fleshed out game with multiple levels and different switch/button setups.

@thealbynoryno ye - yeah ... you're right, it's definitly not an unreadable font, it's an artistic feature and a difficulty setting ! Thanks for the feedback x)

Visuals looks great and it is an interesting puzzle game. As mentioned by someone else, my first play through is also just reading the manual until I died because there is just so much information to process. I think breaking them into little introductory levels would benefit this game. Great job nonetheless!
@chingle yeaaah, tutorials and introductions are not our strong side, thanks for the feed back tho, we keep trying and tbh it's less horrible than our previous games ahah

I was really impressed by your ambiance : the little camera travelling at the beginning, the movie at the end whern you fail... it's unusual for a jam game and quite appreciated ! You could however use more feedback, especially during those movies : sound, screen shakes, etc...
A fun game, great job !
Great mood and really polished graphics! The font was hard to read and it was quite difficult to grasp the game mechanics, but the mood made the game really cool anyways!

I agree with the others, a better font would be nice and if you continue working on it, it would be nice to have a tutorial where you learn the different parts of the instructions by executing them, because as it is now it's a bit overwhelming!
I like the concept though and the gameplay idea, and the graphics look nice, expecially the reactor. I would come back to it if you polish it some more!

Ditto the other comments about it being difficult to learn. I think it's easy as we develop a game and play it for 2 to 3 days and get really good at it, to forget about new player experience. Gradually adding mechanics in over time, or a tutorial, will help a ton! Nice job though, once we learn it, it's a good balance of frenzy.
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my stream!

Good luck on your ratings, see you next LD! :D

Interesting game! Very high marks for mood, music and graphics. But as has already been mentioned in previous comment, yeah, a manual with a more readable font would have been nice. Well done!

graphics are very nice, and camera effects are cool too
Saw the game on Elysia's twitch, and I like the idea! The environment is great and there's a lot of work that went into creating the modules. Well done! Like Elysia, an audible clue that something is getting worse and worse could help.
If you would supply a printable PDF of the manual, this game would be an instant couch-coop game where 1 person is the operator and all others can read the manual and shout instructions. Instant fun :)

An audio cue of the reactor status would've been nice, I was too busy reading the manual and trying to understand things so I did not notice the reactor going bad. Also I'm probably just not smart enough to understand the puzzle description, but I did not understand the rotary buttons. The game seems cool and promising, but I didn't get to play much of it either because of the difficulty or because of the manual not being clear enough. Would love to see an improved post-jam version of this though!
@bart-huylebroeck we actually considered a pdf manual but figured out not everyone has 2 screens or even those so called "friends" to do that in multiplayer :)

Really nice twist on Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, would have loved the documentation as a PDF.
Cool game
OMG ITS LIKE UNREACT( my ld 49 game) BUT LOOKS BETTER EVEN THE PANEL CONTROLS ARE SIMULAR

You did a lot! I liked the twist on KTANE and the font switcher is such a nice quality of life feature (even though I preferred the classic). I was overwhelmed, but I imagine that was the point! Nice work
@owngamesgamer ooooh so cool, you apprently did a tutorial which is ... something we missed unfortunatly :(
@skyeward yeah, after 72h we eventually knew the manual by heart and where to look, would've been usefull to have some dedicated beta testers to tell us what to tweak before release but i guess you guys are here for that lol :p
Oh yes! As an oldschool "Reason" fan i just had to stop here! Very cool game friends! I will test your game more in the evening. Fun fact. There is the Austria word "Grant" which means "beeing very very anoyed" haha - so your version "Krant" is the HEAVY version of "Grant" i guess ^^

Great job, loved the concept of the game. You guys did a superb job with world building, totally captured the atmosphere. But the manual was a little long and complicated and took time to get used to.

This was a fun game! The gameplay reminds me of *Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes* with the roles of both players combined into a singleplayer experience. The graphics are well done, and the music works at setting the mood of the entry effectively. Some sound effects, however, would've gone a long way in making this game have a stronger atmosphere. I do wish that the font for the book was different, however, as the current font with flipped letters feels like an attempt to artificially raise difficulty by making it harder to read instructions. At best, it adds to the panic when trying to figure out what to do as the reactor starts to fail, but at worst, it makes it feel like the developer is punishing me for trying to learn how to play the game. I feel like making the reactor fail quicker, or making player mistakes actively hurt them, would be smarter ways to make the game more difficulty. Other than that, though, this is a solid entry. Nice work.

@proxy-games Thanks for the feedbacks. If you want, you could try the updated version which have a button to switch the font. I agree that this font is not very readable, but it fitted the game pretty well. The main problem with a shorter fail time is that it would give you even less time to read the manual the first times. We could make the manual available as a pdf, but it was designed inside unity and it makes it a pain to export as pdf.
