It's not shooter)) i used it like a infinite clicker. Just infinite move around planet and fast click to shoot and u can do it long time

Way too hard for me :-( In my opinion controls are quite confusing, but it also increases the challenge of this little game!
Exactly what @izhvaryag said, it is the only way to play by spamming the space button and orbit around the planet
@mibehu: Agreed the controls are a bit weird. With the analogue stick of an Xbox controller however it's not too bad - but still very challenging as you say.
My goal with this game was to learn how to move a character around a point. While I've learned some of that now...it hasn't made for a fun player experience.
@IzhVaryag @oguzhan-kalkuz: Appreciate the feedback. A fire rate limiter may have helped here.
I love the theme and story ๐. Ideally the difficulty would scale with time.
@matt-e Taking notes. Thanks for the constructive feedback ๐
Interesting concept. I think the game is a bit hard though.
I agree with the other comments, the game is (too) hard. Or I would rather say it's unfair; I've had rockets reach planets right at the start before I had any chance of reaching them as they would already be past the outer-most position I could get to when I got at their 'angle'. Some kind of boost to movement speed, or being able to move (even) further away from the planet would help with this issue. That said it's a nice attempt and with a bit more work this could make for a pretty fun post-jam game!
Thanks for the kind words and constructive feedback @sigill. Powerups that would give you a temporary speed boost or a temporary clone/mirror player were planned but I didn't quite get there in time.
I'm reviewing the LDJam rules (first timer) and it seems we are permitted to do bug fixes but not feature additions. It sounds like I can address the immediate shuttle spawning issue in this publication, but powerups and such will have to be published in a separate release.
A very interesting game, the difficulty is clearly there, but this game is really fun. A very good game, if I can make a suggestion, adding a notion of adjustable difficulty and time limit would be a good improvement of the latter =) A big thank you for this very pleasant game time
I feel that the hardest part is the rush of launches at the start, if I could deal with that then I could usually play for a little bit. The controls (in my mind, it probably made sense to others) were backwards as I think I expected right to go clockwise. As others have said I think some more choices would make it a more interesting game, maybe being able to boost in and out, farther out and you move slower but can catch more fleeing rockets, farther in and you can move faster. I thought the year starting in the 60s was interesting, kinda implying we've been trying to settle on other planets for a while, or some conspiracy.
I would say the game starts too difficult with so many rockets at once and them is a bit too easy with just one rocket every 1-2 seconds. Starting slow, and building up rocket spawn speed, would improve the game. Anyway, nice little game. Good job!
It needs a bit of balancing, the start of the game is much too difficult. However, excellent concept and I love the retro-style sfx!
Agree with the comments on the difficulty curve. Ideally the game could start easy and then get harder. Also the rockets move so fast that you don't really have time to react, so maybe making everything smaller and slower would be good - giving the player the ability to actually be able to react to the threats. When the rockets just shoot out and there's nothing you can do apart from wildly click and hope, it feels a bit unfair. Graphics are nice and simple, and the sounds are good too (one simple trick to make the game sound more interesting is play the same sound but with a different random pitch in ~10% range each time). Nice entry though, and the rotational movement around the planet does feel smooth :)
Yep, the biggest issue here is that the ship has a fixed distance and once a shuttle crosses it thereโs nothing you can do. Making the shuttles move slower might help, but most importantly you need a way to recover from the mistake, such as being able to shoot away from Earth or being able to move further away.
