Well Done !
I had a bit of a hard time mastering the controls but eventually got the hang of it. Good job on the graphics.
love the graphic, well done :) The UI looks awesome
The game didn't load for me on Firefox for some reason, but it worked fine on Edge.
Fun little game! The art is very striking, and way the sub controls is fun.
There is a browser where the game does not run.
@gamefive - Hi, thanks for the feedback, which browser do you run the game in?
@room606 I played the game. The game was fun. I felt like I was running a real submarine. However, I think the rebound from the impact is too big. It would be nice to adjust the rebound. It makes the game too difficult.
Good work for the game jam. But you need to correct an object's collisions. And I would make the controls slower and more inert, and also hitting the bottom should lead to loss of life.
@katamary - Thanks for the feedback, really valuable suggestions. Regarding collisions - yeah, I know, that's what concerned me all the time and requires lot of fixing work for sure :P
Nice art, it's simple but consistent and looks nice. The UI was also simple and effective. The primary issue for me was that the collision shapes were slightly larger than the art, which made it feel like I was being cheated a bit sometimes when I hit a mine, particularly on the first level that required me to go between two lined up horizontally.
Pretty fun, I found myself enjoying the simple mechanics
Sweet game! Had small problems with controls but still game was fun to play! Nice job!
@room606 Cool game, it was very reminiscent of old Miniclip games from my early teen-hood, I'm sure I would have played loads of it back then. Nice music and SFX too, at times it felt quite polished, I like the quotes as well, they were a great touch, also the UI looks professional. Like others my main problem was the hit boxes and the rebound, if those were adjusted I think it would have been really fun. Also I found a bug with the hitbox of the green boxes not working from the top and letting you pass through the box and then get rebounded around a bit Screen2.jpg This one barrel seemed impossible to get to Screen1.jpg I also found on two levels that the B2 didn't fly across the screen. Was it possible to complete the game? I kept playing and the levels started to repeat themselves.
Anyways these were all acceptable bugs for a Jam game, you made a really nice game in the time, well done!
Very interesting game, the movement of the submarine is a little too slippery
Great game! I think the most interesing part is movement system!
Hi! Really cool game. It would be nice if you tweaked controls little bit, so we could be able to accelerate at the beginning. Beside that, I had fun. Well done!
Great job, really enjoyed your game. Nice clean graphics and great sound. Reminds me of an Atari2600 game I discovered recently named Polaris. Also, bonus points for being the first game that I saw in LD that uses Defold. I've been meaning to look into that engine too. My only complain here was that there are some odd collision detections happening, not sure why. Maybe it's not the hitboxes, but how the submarine bounces when it collides with something.
Submarine go brrrrrrr.
Fun little game, but the further I progressed the more the following issues showed: the movement of the submarine was a bit too fast for my taste and combined with the stickiness to the bottom of the screen/ocean made movement quite difficult and unpredictable. I also bounced around a lot when I hit the rectangle-shaped obstacles. Congratulations on your LD48 entry!
Cool Game! Initially the floaty controls were a bit frustrating but then I got a grasp of them and take advantage. I would like a way to quick correct the direction, but I still like the fact that sometimes I have to take a hit to get the barrel. Nice entry!
