Hey, @lanalux , your itch page seems blank so I can't play it... but I'm looking forward for it!
Loved the concept, and the atmosphere, the visuals were fantastic. Opening scene was awesome, didn't expect the play button to go right into playing. Very cinematic!
Art is awesome! Loved the cinematic feeling which I am not used to in ludum dare games. Good job!
Opening scene felt like playing Mafia again. Really great cinematic work! I loved the vibe of the location. The green hills felt soo peacful!
The concept is really good and the voice acting for the most part is top notch. The controls however are quite unresponsive and you can lock yourself from progressing by jumping out the balcony and only way to progress is to quit the game and turn it on again. But when played like its suppose to its a fun experience, good job
ps. I like games.
This was a tripy game; I liked the atmosphere a lot, it was like a camping trip into someone's mind. The main take-aways, I would say... when I started the game, the music and volume was super loud and blasted my ears. But, that's probably because I keep my system volume high and volume down apps as needed; but others may do the same. I also had trouble exiting the game when I was done playing... quit menu not working, or not existing? The movement was a little awkward, especially going left to right, but not unplayable. Outside of these things, the game was lovely, interesting and very pretty! I would invade someone's dreams again... but, maybe for Chapter 2, make it a nightmare. ;)
Loved the game and mood. Really want a chapter 2 3 4 5 6 haha. good job Lana! I think balcony bug is fixed now? i tried to jump out at end hoping for more but i couldn't.
Great game. its very cinematic, that intro set the mood very well. It feels like I'm playing through a movie short, which is something quite different from the usual games here. Controls are a little awkward, but doesn't take away from the story or pacing. Going from location to locations is fun and with such different atmospheres. Great script writing and voice work. I find it well paced with the story getting deeper and deeper.
I would like to play more chapters.
Wow! I loved the atmosphere! Great job for 3 day Jam! I probably felt the stairs too many often :)...
I'm so disappointed there were no hobbits.. Jokes aside, this was an atmospheric game. And (the subject at the ending - I'm not going to spoil it) is always one that invokes emotion. I don't feel emotions while playing Ludum Dare games that often. I think the game is missing actual 'game'(play), maybe a small simple puzzle or something, but as a narrative platform it does a decent job. I may even play this if it's fleshed out a bit more, because I do occasionally enjoy walking simulators as long as they tell a good story. Anyway, congratulations on finishing your LD48 entry!
I didn't expect any of this :D
Like others said, the game feels very cinematic from the get go and only gets weirder (aswell as deeper) - I love it! Amazing voice acting and incredible work overall for such a limited amount of time! Can't wait to see what the other chapters are about :D
Seeing this being put together on stream was really interesting. Experiencing it was phenomenal! It felt like watching a movie - the subtle character development was really cool. The music was beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this. Well done and thanks for sharing!
Great mood and interpretation of the theme!
Interesting take on the theme. The voice acting was great and really made it come alive. I got stuck in the area with Maddy though where it got really dark and couldn't find my way around the level anymore.
Really great game. I really like the cinematic feel of it. It looks and feels really nice, and the story is very interesting. The UI, colour palette, and audio work really well together and make for a great presentation. Awesome work!
Interesting concept. A few things: the text and voices don't match 100%, it's kinda strange. About the Beethoven on the start, I'm full for using him and many other classical composers, however I believe since a full original soundtrack would be better, perhaps more into electronic and all (and the same goes for the Concerning Hobbits that even heavily edited is still recognizable, and so would also be kind of a problem legally, so creating something the makes references too would be a better idea). Also, there was one dialogue that seemed to cut early, one of the last ones of the girl. Still, nice concept and cool voice acting.
