I like this game a lot. It took me halfway through a playthrough to really figure out how it worked, but it clicked for me eventually. Super clever idea.

hypercubegames 2020-10-06 01:11

It was a great game! maybe add a tutorial I spent 30 min figuring out how to play.

twobitjen 2020-10-06 01:16

This is a lot of fun. A tutorial would have been great but the idea is awesome.

wujood 2020-10-06 01:16

Really great game! The nice touch of a leaderboard on top of the good core mechanic is a recipe for success!

ytrewq 2020-10-06 01:22

Fun, leaderboard is a nice touch. Hazards are kind of annoying, is there a way to get rid of the rocks after they fall?

firebelley 2020-10-06 01:31

This is a really great game with an awesome core mechanic. I had a lot of fun managing the railway. The biggest thing that could be improved is the track placement, I found it really difficult to get the rails built sometimes.

Other than that minor thing, this game is a blast. Awesome work!

aditon 2020-10-06 01:33

I really like the basis of this game. It's an extremely strong game loop with interesting interlocking incentives. The gameplay is fast-paced and adaptive, but it also has simple enough rules to get the gist just by watching and learning. Excellent work, my friend.

fakodan 2020-10-06 01:34

no. the point is to build new tracks around hazards to avoid collision.

purpledartfrog 2020-10-06 08:11

The screenshot got me thinking of Dungeon Keeper ... so prepped for some slapping

Well that said.... enjoyed the entry - nice simple - like others have commented - a tutorial would have helped.

But got the point in the second playthrough...

Godt arbejde drenge og/eller piger  :thumbsup_tone1:

:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:

Awesome! Definitely, this game is one of the best on the LD47. Nice graphics and mood, music is not annoying and a very pleasant gameplay. Well done guys!

By the way, I'm in 2nd place

inefficientchunkofcode 2020-10-06 17:44

**FUUUUUUN!!!**

Nice job!

necauqua 2020-10-06 19:44

Yes, you did it in HTML5 so I wouldn't need to download it and try to run through wine, and you insta-attracted me by putting that into thumbnail, smart!

Very nice and simple concept, also I really liked the flat-shaded procedural(?) walls for some reason, it was a good aestetic.

You made a public leaderboard for which I didn't have enough time for my game, I'm jealous :)

Nicely done overall

pseudonclide 2020-10-06 19:53

Awesome game! Loved the music, the graphics, the gameplay. It was really nice to play!

eldelhas 2020-10-06 19:56

A really fun game, even if, I agree with other comments, it lacks of a little tutorial at the beginning :) After understanding, the game is nice anyway, just need to take the time for it ! Good job !

lychee 2020-10-06 19:57

I didn't understand how to place tracks at first but once I did, the game made much more sense. I liked the models and the lighting a lot, the game feels very fleshed out also for a game jam! Good job!

nekusoul 2020-10-06 19:58

Pretty easy (and entertaining) to make dumb mistakes even after you know what to do.

ruling-spear 2020-10-06 20:00

Great game, I made the top 10. Whoohoo! for now... Great balance between gathering resources and managing problems. Fantastic job!

thierry 2020-10-06 20:08

I like the low poly aesthetics and how the warm colors give a feeling of torchlight. The mechanics work well together and the controls feel smooth. Really nice game!

haustgeirr 2020-10-06 20:38

Great concept here. Really enjoyed it, but found the track building mechanics pretty unforgiving given how long you have before a boulder smashed your chaps, lost quite a few to track deletions too. A game I'd love to come back to. Well done!

mads 2020-10-07 05:45

@purpledartfrog Thanks for the feedback! As the game developed i thought exactly the same, we actually used Dungeon Keeper sounds as placeholders at some point :) It would be nice to have implemented some slapping, however time was as issue as always...

mads 2020-10-07 05:52

@dmitrygalias Wow, you are rocking some great scores!!! And thanks for the feedback!

purpledartfrog 2020-10-07 06:39

@mads so true :smile:

m0dsat 2020-10-07 07:50

@necauqua thanks for mentioning the procedural walls. You have no idea of the headache we went through to get it working  15 wall models for 70 configurations that cover the total 256 possible combinations for wall placement :fearful: And thanks for playing and the feedback!

gonzalol 2020-10-08 09:19

Original and great interpretation of the theme. I like the graphics and music.

kirroyal 2020-10-08 11:28

Nice idea and execution. That had to be a quite complex development. Really well done!

sirred 2020-10-09 02:23

I got a little bit confused at the beginning before I realized I had to make the track connect to extend the loop.

human-writes-code 2020-10-09 08:18

This is a really well polished game with some cool features to it. I like the cave in mechanic because it created a good combination of strategic decision making and urgency. I definitely should have read the instructions first because it took me a while to realise that making paths near ores increased my income.

An impresive, consistent art style, too!

Well done!

preda 2020-10-09 12:07

I really like the dynamite sound effects echoing trough the mine, I also like how well the building system was done for the rails. Good job!

koemeterion 2020-10-10 09:36

I like this a lot. Wished for some options to change the volume of the sounds, some of them where quite loud for my liking.

The dynamic change of the situation felt great. Handling those few tasks I had was fun too. Not to many of them but challenging. Discovering the "bad things" that could happen was surprising (water leaks are evil! :D)

Its a fun challenge where you get quickly better in understanding whats going on and what is important to watch out for. Ah, what I realised a bit late was that resource sources can run out. That surprised me in a bad way. Some information for that (in game) would have been nice.

deathstorm 2020-10-16 07:21

Yeah I did it :)

Bild_2020-10-16_092013.png

I liked the game a lot it was pretty cool. The Soundeffects where nice and the general conecpt was awesome. The Game has a real good "flow".

It was a bit hard in the beginning to understand the eneral concept but then it was really nice. I think there could be done a lot more with this kind of concept and there is a huge potential to improve, enlarge and enhance the game.

I really like it. Well done really good Job

coleslaughter 2020-10-18 21:09

[Things got a little out of hand as we streamed this the other day, sorry in advance.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/772739699?t=03h08m34s)

I really like how unique this entry was! I did have a bit of confusion when trying to understand the mechanics fully, but I think with a little more polish and playtesting you can have something super interesting here. Keep on keepin' on!

frosty 2020-10-27 06:19

It was a little hard to control using a trackpad :) but otherwise, I like this interpretation of the theme -- the lighting, artwork, and a bit of tactical decision making. Nice entry :)
