As an Italian I approve this-a.
Hilarious! The title screen music was WAY too loud, can we get a volume slider? Great concept though, took me a second to figure out what to do, I was trying to stab those meatballs!
Quite a funny take on the jam theme, I like it! A bit hard to make it in the time limit, I couldn't beat the first level unfortunately, but a nice idea nontheless :)
- Hats off for the theme, for relating "stuck in a loop" to rolling spaghetti in a fork, I think you deserve 5 stars ! - I love the italian voices, especially "L'appetito viene mangiando" :D - What is missing is the name of the dish when you go to the next level, it would be even funnier. - This game deserves to be played, I encourage you to rate other games to increase its visibility.
Thank you @francesco ! We are working on that (play other games). We are pretty busy working the last week. But we will play this week and the other. Also, you're right, I want to add the name of the dishes at the beginning of the level (now you can see the neme in the level section). Thank you for your feedback!
This looks really cool and I really want to play it. Sadly, I am unable to left click and right click at the same time on my computer. Really great idea that looks really well made; great job!
This is just amazing good job
I like that audio, very good. Ohh gosh, very addictive and fun game, this is our winner guys. Nice art design. Partly match the theme, maybe next time it will be better.. Overall that game is good, good job.
What a great game! Graphics, sound, everything is so polished! The presentation is so well done, the game actually made me hungry :D I also think the simple but fun gameplay and short levels fit perfectly for a jam.
After a while I noticed that you can just hold down the right mouse button and everything will stick to your fork, making most levels a bit too easy. However, I think that is something that could be fixed in a post-jam version (which you should definitely make btw) and is completely understandable for a jam game.
Thank you for your feedback @captainproton42 !! To avoid rolling all the time we'll add a "stickiness factor" in each food... Stickiness is the property that measures how much time a food sticks in the fork. You can see with more details in "The Menu" section in the pause menu and the main menu. The last levels are hard because of that!
@peterfonts Strange. I generally didn't encounter food that didn't stick better when rolling. There actually was food that immediately fell of when I stopped rolling so I had to keep doing it. It usually happened like this: Fork down -> start rolling -> fork up -> stop rolling -> food falls off. Am I supposed to stop rolling before moving the fork up? Or maybe there are still some problems with the implementation? I played till the second-to-last level by the way.
@captainproton42 you are right. I mean, every food has a stickiness property, for example, the meatballs have a Very Low Stickiness so the meatballs stick only 1 sec in the fork. The olives, for example, has a very high stickiness, so the duration of this food sticks in the fork is 6 seconds. I need to explain better in the tutorial menus. Thank you!
Very nice game, I worked for an Italian Once, 10/10 Realism.
No, but really an almost perfect game. It was quit laggy...but I only tested the Webversion
I laughed a lot when I discovered the game. Not easy in my humble opinion haha.
Well done ! Really good polish !
Wow so much work, such a high polish, great art, great sound! Kudos! :) For me the main gameplay loop was not super appealing but that's just personal preference :)
Mangiare! Mangiare!
Great! I really liked it, as the friend mentioned above, we just need to present the name of the dishes before each stage.
@marcos-tulio-cavalcante Done! ;D Thank you for your feedback!
Funny concept and take on the theme! The sound design, graphics and UX all look very professional too. There wasn't much difference from level to level it seemed, but a great execution of a fun idea all around.
I love everything about this lol from the voices to the music to the silly gameplay. Everything is so stereotypical Italian and its great lol Great work!
Haha, awesome! The style, art, audio and gameplay is very nice! Quite fun gameplay and a very high level of polish. Fun game!
Now I'm hungry - Really good game!
I love this! The artstyle looks very good, very polished. You used the theme in such a unique and fun way. Your game made me smile, even tho I am now hungry :P
10/10 would spaghetti again.
Really fun little game! Struggled to "eat" the food at the beginning but got the hang of how it worked soon after, i managed to pass a coupl levels and felt like the movement control were innovative and easy, great job!
Nice one!
I really really liked the coherence of visuals, music, voices, text, gameplay, and everything. The idea is great and the execution is very well done!
If I had to be picky, I feel like the part that is not done as well is the progression. The only real difference I felt when going from the first levels all the way to the last ones was the stickiness of some ingredients and the time I had. This is a very good idea, but it feels like it is not enough to have 10 levels.
Also, reading the comments, it seems that some things were added post jam, but it is a bit unclear what? Everyone needs to be able to rate the game as it was at the end of the 3 days I believe.
Thanks for the game I had fun, great job and you got a new follower on itch 💕
Thank you for your words @doot !! Yes, the progression is a thing that we didn't have time to include all our features... we will add new levels the next weeks, with forbidden food: if you eat 2-3 times this specific food, game over. With that, we'll improve the mechanic of release food from the fork, and make the game more strategic and complex. But step by step. We add the name of the dishes at the beginning of the level. But you're right, I will do an entry with the Jam version and the post-jam. Thank you again!
Very realistic experience, felt like me soiling the whole table spinning my fork at any italian restaurant :D
Funny concept, visuals and very nice polish for a jam game! Congrats!
bellissima ! Really fun experience ! the command are hard to manage on a mac; otherwise it's really cool :)
My only suggestion is that often when I'd bring the fork to the mouth I'd inadvertently click off-screen. Great idea and very fun to play! Bella!
I love this! At first I thought it would get too boring too quick, but the scaling of shortening time felt pretty good as you got better at the controls. I would have loved for there to have seen more sauce splattering! 10/10 would stab a tomato again.
Extremely good gameplay, this game made me soo hungry
yummy spaghetti
This was fun! Good job!
This was amazing! really liked the polished UI, the sound effects and the music. The gameplay was refreshing and also pretty funny, it kinda reminded me a bit of games like Surgeon Simulator. Great work, I loved it!!
Great entry! Really fun and super polished! I somehow managed to be less messy than eating spaghetti in real life... :D Congrats!
Amazing work! I love the idea of eating all the stuff on the table ahahahah Que Booono! is my favourite sound hahah great game! I had difficulties with the meatballs level, but I think I need more practice hahaha
*I await eagerly what the waiter brings to my table. It is something heavy: his pace is slow, and he's sweating. I wipe my mouse anxiously.*
***Spaghetti al Nero Di Seppie.*** *Damn. I've learned about this at the academy. I did the simulations. Never touched one with a real fork, but I'm ready. I can hear the chef shouting his wishes at me, but I don't listen.*
*I didn't eat since the morning. My watch tells me I need to get high 600s on the nutrition scale, so I decide to glitch my fork into constant spin mode. I do it instinctively, I don't even need to look at my fork, because I'm a pro, and I want to show the plate who's boss, so I stare down the white onion rings, my target.*
*As my fork grazes it, an onion ring flies off the plate, away from me. The spaghetti underneath starts to dance, and slides to the left. I was coming in too fast. But I've moved on before the ring hits the tablecloth. This is about to get messy, it is time for plan B...*
I guess what I'm trying to say is, this is one the greatest jam games I have ever played. Thank you.
What a story @ditam !! Your words make me smile in these strange days! Thank you!
