I don't know what was happening and what i was doing in a role of LITTLE FOX but it feels fun. The problem for me is that a lot of stuff happens on the screen same time and I can't focus. But ut's the problem for all coop games
The controls button not implemented yet? Either way, great and funny little game. But I think my cow got really fat.. Finished #3 xD
Cute little game, not a big fan of local co-op based games, which have a retarded ai (seriously, best score after 2 rounds : https://imgur.com/a/4j5l5), but I can see what you were trying to achieve and the characters are wayyy too damn cute! Seriously good job :D

The idea is interesting, but for me, playing the game it was super chaotic. But both the graphics and the music was really sweet and fun. Overall a fine LD game.

Great presentation, lots of pretty graphics and polished visuals.
The game itself - the movement was fine, but felt unsolid. The characters slid around and didn't really feel good to control. Felt too fast as well, which takes away from the skill component of the game. I think slowing everything down could make the game feel a lot less random and chaotic and thus not skillful.
The game mechanic itself was okay, basically a reverse health concept. I feel like there could be a lot more indication of what's desirable and what's not, as getting hit by food and picking up food looks identical and at the speed this runs it feels difficult to tell.
The aiming and tossing didn't feel really good - it needs to be more solid and purposeful, again, it just feels random and chaotic and not skillful.
Great idea, though could be tightened up!
Nice graphics and concept! I just did not really get the rules. Is it right, that I always got gold while having the least points? And does it matter which fruit I pick up?
Very nice graphics. As already mentioned, I liked the fact, that I could choose the pig! <3.
Really like visuals and music, it feels cute and polished =) Also, impressive AI behaviour. imo. Was hard to oriented at first, and additional feedback whenyou score and when you 'get fed' would help to understand how good/bad you are doing in the match.
Looking forward to updates like the multiplayer keep it up!

@tuism thank you for your honest critic and ideas, we will try out different paces to see how it works out; maybe coloring the throwed food will be enough as indicator for distinguishing between collectibles and non-collectibles; i think aiming works better for gamepad controls, when the direction is taken from an stick
@unfinished the edibles are ammunition you pick up and throw at the others - if you are hit your score increases; but the more you have (been hit), the worse it is (your rank) :)

The graphics are so lovely. For me the controls felt pretty smooth. But it would be better if the food you can pick up and the ones that get thrown at you would be easier to distinguish. But overall a nice and really cute game.

Looks great but I found it a bit tricky to get the hang of. It was somewhat difficult to tell what fruit could be picked up and what would count against you. Really solid concept though, it is definitely fun to play and works well with the theme.
A fun little game. Made a little too easy by the AI focusing on each other and not the player, but I liked the concept and it did good work with the theme. Great job!

Very cute little game, the graphics are very nicely done and consistent in style. Gameplay itself is quite a bit more frantic than the music suggests, but is very entertaining. It suffers a bit for not having sound effects (especially some kind of feedback for picking up/being hit by food), and needs some kind of indicator of which character is the player's, but overall a very cohesive and nicely done game, good job!

I really like the artstyle and game-idea! It reminds me a bit of a non-hostile version of super smash bro's. The goal is the game is to throw food to others and be the one with the least amount of food left in the end of the round. I think this game could actually play pretty well in actual multiplayer, but the AI seems to be going a good job so far! Only game-breaking thing is: you can win very easily by jumping up high and throwing all your food down in the last second before the countdown timer ends. This is kind of a shame. Maybe a random timer that is invisible would be better so player couldn't prepare and thus that tactic would be way harder? Anyway, good job guys!!

We read every comment very carefully and make notes so we can improve our gameplay for further work on the game. @virtual-turtle-studio: You know how to play the game so far ;) Sadly, there was no time to improve the AI's behaviour, but we thought it might work for the LD40 after 3 days. We have a lot of ideas for multiplayer and singleplayer mode too, so maybe you want to try it after some changes :3

I loved this! It was fun to play. The graphics are adorable and I loved the color scheme that was used. Controls were smooth an dit was fun to fling around food :D!

The game is cute and the overall feeling is nice, but the lack of feedback when you throw items or someone throws it at you is really annoying. The concept, the art and the music are really cool tho.

Nice polished game! I tried first without reading, and it was pretty hard to tell what was positive or negative. I re-ran the game after reading more carefully, and had fun! :)
Maybe having a bit more feedback like the character becoming fat as he's eating too much could've been a nice addition?

I didn't know what was going on, but I was having a blast! The graphics and music alone just made it a really enjoyable experience. I think you did really well on those two aspects.

The game is really beautiful, and well polished. I just have to say that I had a hard time understanding what I was doing, as I didn't know if my ( low ) score was good or not ( I thought the less you eat, the better score you have ). Other than than it's really good and I'm impressed that you had the time to make an AI !

I miss two things: an in-game explanation of the objective of the game, and some feedback when you hit or get hit.
I have a bittersweet feeling with the audio, as I simply adored it and was going to praise you as hell for it, but it looks that it's a third party audio. Well, that's an incredible pick! Combined with your graphics, it threw the mood of the game to the stratosphere for me!
A lot of praise to the graphics. The gameplay is cool, reminiscent of Smash... But while Smash has events like knock outs, this just goes on a bit. Maybe you could implement a "gluttony death", or just lower the time? I also wanted more airborne directional controls. Nonetheless for the time spent, this was incredibly polished!

Fun little game, took a little time to understand it but after that it was pretty fun love the art fits the game perfectly
Had fun with this. Its like a super cutesy smash bros. Only thing i think needs work is the sound. I wasnt fond of the music and more sound effects would really have helped the feel of the game. I won a couple of games but it never felt too easy or anything so good job on balancing too
Woah really liked the idea, pretty fun! But somethings AI had suddenly 99, and another time I went from 14 to 60, didnt knew why. Amazing work!
Haha nice one! The AI play pretty good, sometimes I got stuck in a wall and sound effect would be nice. But other than that feed those pesky ... was funny ^^
Polished art and game flow, I had fun running around throwing fruits and milk jars at animals, but most of the time I was confused about what is going on.
Love the graphics in this, I feel that it was too easy as you could just run around and pick up food and throw it randomly and still beat the AI

Really fun and polished game. I particularly liked the art work, good job.
Polished game with solid sound and visuals. My only grip is that it was difficult to tell if you'd hit someone sometimes so didn't feel quite satisfying enough when you did! It's a nice idea though and could really be built upon.
I also like how pissed off the cat looks. >:(

Beautiful game! It's a simple game but it works. I think I would reduce the number of animals and add a little more dynamics to movement and scenario, because most of the time I was running around and going bananas (HA!), shooting fruit at everything and jumping up and down around the map.
Really fun game - it would be even greater if you could play with friends! Little bit lacking of sounds, and music is nice but kinda 'dull' after a while. Artstyle amazing <3 Great game overall!

Nice graphics and fun gameplay. I feel like it doesn't match the theme that well though. In the end, it's just about shooting others and not getting hit yourself - which is fun, but doesn't relate to the theme. In that regard, every shooter ever created was the same -> The more bullets you have shot into your face, the worse it is. Good job nonetheless, I had a lot of fun playing it!

I was most impressed by the AI first of all, I thought it was going to be 4p local play only but I'm glad we could taste the 4p chaos w/o that. Fun concept and in the right direction. Main thing I wish I had was some indicator to show if I was going to pick up the food vs getting hit by it. I was always a little paranoid to pick up even a rolling piece of food cuz I wasn't too sure if it would be velocity-based and ding me for it. The art is awesome, didn't even need animations to make it look good, and I'm sure that's a big reason you pulled people in.

What impressed me the most was the in game AI. The soundtrack too. The game is well balanced. I just wish the controls option would work.

This is a neat game!
Pros: - I love being able to pick a character, even if it is only cosmetic - Non-violent themed but competitive at the same time (probably much better than Rivals of Aether thematically for my daughter to be playing :) ) - Interesting twist on the phrasing of the theme
Cons: - Its kind of difficult to aim the throws-- I think it might even work better if it were just about direction and how ong you held down a button rather than using a retical. - Its hard to tell when I'm scoring other than by looking at the bottom of the screen. Maybe give characters a chomping or eating animation when they're hit.

Great work! The visuals are great and the controls were smooth, aiming was a little difficult though. The audio was nice but didn't really fit with the rest of the game. It was very laid back for a game that should feel quite frantic. This would make a fantastic couch co-op game, so I look forward to the inclusion of multiplayer.

The art and presentation are very nice. I found the best strategy for me was just to run around spamming the click button because of the speed of the game.
A great little game! The AI was extremely good for a 48 hour game! The gameplay was smooth and there were no obvious bugs.

The AI were out of my league haha. The multiplayer of this game would be amazing. or even a hotseat. It was fun but really chaotic at the start. I was kinda confused how the game works but after first try everything played out nicely. Great great entry!
Super cute, I can definitely picture playing a multiplayer match, or even making it into something more competitive like 100 of them on the screen feeding each other, if you eat to much you get eliminated.
Either way great art and an interesting beginning to something if you feel like it.

Very cute. It has a lovely art style while the audio is a little bland. No sound or any form of visual feedback on movement and jumping and throwing food makes you feel disconnected from your character. That along with all the characters looking similar means its easy to "lose" your character in the craze.
What I enjoyed the most was the art style and take on the theme. An amazing first try at this!

Really cute, and I'm impressed you managed to make an AI in such a short amount of time!
I didn't really understand what I was doing though. We must both pick up the food in order to throw them at our opponents, but also avoid the food when it is being thrown: that makes it a bit ambiguous when it is safe to touch a piece of food, do I have to wait until it has stopped rolling on the floor and is completely still? I saw that my count was high at the end of the game, but I didn't really have much feedback during the game about which of my actions led to that count. Maybe make the characters flash when their count increases, to indicate that they are "taking damage"?

This is an awesome concept! The game is fun to play, the only problem I had was determining if I collected the food so I can throw or if I ate the food. I didn't find the audio to be very related to the rushness of gameplay and sound effects were missing, which would imho solve the problem of determining if you collected ammunition or ate the food. I find the idea of multiplayer very intriguing, hope you will make it!
