Interesting idea - but it feels kind of clunky. Also I think you can remove the extra links if you leave the URL blank
@BenBurgh Thanks for the feed back, this is our first ever game we actually made so it's bound to be clunky but think of it like this: It's a Game Mechanic.
And thanks for telling me how to remove the extra links.
Looks good, nice idea. However, I'm not sure why but sometimes the colors don't mix correctly. i.e. Red + Yellow should become Orange, but become Red AND Orange instead. I'm playing on itch.io on Chrome.
@ GastricSparrow Thanks for the feedback. That is a glit- I MEAN its a feature xD
Quieter music would be nice xD just personal opinion xDDD I actually really-liked the tetris like gameplay, it was very nice and smooth and the idea of colors changing by smashing together was very neat. I actually really liked the idea and mechanics xD well done, i think it's a cool concept and well executed. Good job! Maybe more shapes? :D
Good music, shame there's no sound effects. I like the idea but there's a lack of difficulty curves. graphics are servicable though the gameplay really isn't that new. Good job with the game though!
@vkmicro Yea didn't realize the music was too loud, i could change that tonight. Thanks for the feedback, we might take this game and continue to make it better so your ideas are much appreciated.
@BumiBomber Thanks for the feedback, we wanted sound effects but didn't have the time to add them. We are new to game development and didn't want to take on a new idea, so we made it based on other ideas.
I'm not sure how to play this, a bit more explanation on the mechanic would be much appreciated. There's no scores as well. The music is cool, and graphics works well for the gameplay that you're going for. Also, given that its a tetris like, the blocks don't seem to be on a grid but seem to be physics simulated, allow for some room for weird collision to happen, which might not be what you intend?
I had fun in my 5 playthroughs trying to understand how the game works :D
@randomphantom More or less, try to match primary colors to get higher "Tiers" of colors. (Violet > Purple > Red). We were originally intending to add a score system, but MIGHT have run out of time... Thanks for the feedback!
@Lyrcaxis Lol, thanks for the feedback!
That was pretty nice. The game gets really tense as more colors get stacked. It'd be nice to have a guide explaining which colors can get mixed together, I kinda had to learn this by trial and error.
yes, if the music wasn't that loud it'd be nice but that's not a problem at all since the soundtrack was pretty fine.
Also maybe make the "level" a little bit larger so we can enjoy the game for longer?
Nice job anyway
Color-Tetris? What a bizarrely intriguing concept :)
The game suffered a bit from the lack of scoring, but otherwise, it was a very interesting and innovative take on the Tetris concept!
The music worked well, and fit with the gameplay. Some sound effects, especially when triggering color changes, could have improved the mood even more.
Sometimes the stacks shifted, I'm not sure if that was a bug or a feature?
A bigger game field, and more variety in shapes might improved the gameplay further.
In any case, this was an interesting spin on a classic mechanic, and it fit the theme well.
>Mix falling colors! >Planning as they fall from top. >Overwhelmed! Too many!
I really like the idea! Reminds me of Columns, but with a unique twist. The paint bucket play board was a nice touch! It controls well, and the music is a bit catchy.
As someone else said, some colors don't mix, which is kind of confusing. It's a shame it seems a bit unfinished. With a bit of polish it could be a fun little puzzle game!
I look forward to the post jam version if you continue working on it! As it stands, it's still a neat little prototype. Nice work!
@Jegus9 @Somnium @zee Thanks for the feedback, I will look into the ideas you have given over the break and try to fix them. We plan on making this into an improved game, so consider this an open beta. If you have any other ideas or bugs you find, please tell me or @Sariza.
P.S: I added a color chart and a small instructions section on the itch.io page.
