It's cool. the best moment for me it's when you take the 2nd gun and suddenly a bird appeared from the corner whit a funny face I laugh a lot.
Interesting game :)
Interesting concept and good music and graphics :)
I really love the graphics ;)
I always love this kind of games, good job
Cool game, cool sounds, cool graphics, cool camera system (when it shows you all the map) but I you should clarify how to play it without the controller (when you play single player)
Reminds me a little bit to terraria.
Nice graphics and gameplay :)
I love the art and the graphics ;)
It's fun! I love your art style it's like the games that I used to play when I was a child (jeje the little legs of the main player xD) :)
jaja the sounds are FUN.
I love the little sounds they are fun.
Good game, the 2 cameras are cool, and it's very close from what I expected from this theme. Nice ;)
Nice game basis with more developent time this could be really cool :)
I love the intro and the game itself, the sounds and how the letters appear keeps me focused on reading :)
good job.
Nice job, I think that it has a lot of potencial.
Jeje it's very fun when your role changes xD
An interesting idea :)
good job, continue this way :)
Interesting gravity effect.
Very good :) nothing to say.
I liked it :)
As always good job!
You are good with unity and blender.
I've learnt my unity programming basis watching your videos, so the cause I'm here It's you :) thanks quill and continue this way you deserve all the good the things that you have.
It's very intuitive, good job :)
Good Job Man!
Simple, clean and nice good job :)
Jaja I liked the colors they are super funky XD
Good job It was very fun to play your game.
I really enjoyed playing this, good job :)
Wops! Link is broken :(
Very fun, I don't know WTF just happened but I enjoyed it a lot.
Merry Christmas for you too and happy new year :)
As Birke said I'm also expecting something bad to happen I was playing this with my GF and we where like OMG we are going to jump from our chairs. Another time good job :)
Very good work I was super scared while playing it :)
Jaja I found the bug panel on the roof It's a veru fun detail :)
Good job.
As some people has said the graphics are cool also the physics an offcourse the music :) It would be nice a little text explaining what to do and how to do it but It was fun to see the room dancing on the screen, jeje well done.
Good graphics :)
I liked it a lot :) Very fun concept jaja good job :)
As ZpeedTube said the link is broken :(
Good game and clean mechanics, It is very challenging :) It would be nice to see a mobile version of this. Good job.
OMG, as a gamer I love it! As a programmer considering that you did it with your custom libraries I love it even more.
Good job dude keep it up!
Thank you all for your reviews, you are awesome guys! They always keep me motivated and willing to improve and participate in the next Ludum Dare!
About the controls, I'm a bit disapointed that some people disliked them, but at the same time, it's an error that I won't make on the future so it's cool to have your feedback it really helps.
@andreymust19, Thanks for the review! It's LibGDX for rendering, input and audio and my self-made physics and stuff. (My personal challenge for this LD was to avoid using a Fully Featured Game Engine)
@winnie33 ohh you had a great team (You are lucky)! :) I was considering to limit the number of every character (There are 4 of them: Selfish, Coward, Protector, and Sniper), but then in one stress test I spawned like 30 NPCs and a quarter of them were snipers and we died anyway at night 49, so as I saw that we weren't unbeatable I kept this logic. 2.jpg
@sh1rogane shhhhhh, this will be our little secret, don't tell anyone!!! Jaja thanks for your review dude :)!
@sewerbird Thanks for your review and suggestion, I'll take note for my next LD ;)
@somuch thanks for your kind words :)
@endurion Thanks for your review! If you survive enough nights you will see that all the dead bodies remain on the ground and it's harder and harder to scape due to the lack of space (Then the button remove bodies becomes more and more important and also where are you killing the zombies).
Great work! As other people said, good graphics, voices... Good job!
There is one detail that made me laugh a lot and is when I planted the bomb I was expecting a BOOOOOM! So I ran quite far and suddenly I heard "pup", I don't know why but this made me laugh a lot.
Seriosly good job man!
@shp Yes, it's fantastic! I just wanted to share with you this fun moment :) Good job seriously!
Good game, I really like the art style. Jeje how did you come out with this idea? Jaja poor sheep I felt bad for them :)
Good job!
This is by far the game that kept me playing the most! (I really like 2d platformers)
I think you did a very good job, funny art style, good game mechanics, lovely music...
Congratulations dude :) Keep it up!
Oh man! This game is emotional, the music, the stories... You did a great job :)
Wow, I love your game, cool mechanics, nice art... :) Good job!
Jeje but suddenly he remember that he has a fan in his head XD
Interesting game a bit short but I think that this is good because this means wanted to know more about our little ducky.
Good job :)
Jeje good game, as someone said it is very stressful but I guess that that's the point :)
The game though was screaming, MACHINE GUN to me all the time jaja.
Very interesting the choice of making the game end when the FPS fall from a threshold its a very creative "health system" for your game :)
Thanks for this entry.
Loved this game, jeje it has everything that I like. Zombies, a shotgun to kill zombies, and the posibility of killing zombies over and over again XD.
I loved the go back effect, the pixel art and the music.
Also I see that you made it with Monodevelop which from my point of view makes it even more impressive even though Ludum Dare doesn't rate people on the tech choice I know that it has been even more difficult to develop and I appreciate that :)
Thanks for this entry, very enjoyable :)
Interesting concept, the idea of playing "chess" or something with the death is very interesting it is a powerful image.
The music is kind of fun as well some sort of creepy waltz jeje :)
I have 1 question though: - Why do my pieces disappear when I click on them once they are a bit further in the map? Is it normal? (Sorry if the question is naïve)
Great entry, thanks for creating this game :)
Jeje this game is very unique and crazy. The art is very well done the music is cool and it really feels alive, good job.
Good screen transition and nice graphics.
I really love the hexagon tiles and the fact that the enemies are able to push you away from the map if you collide with them or if they spawn on you (it makes the game more difficult)
To be able to jump has been a nice decision as it gives you more movement freedom. (Seeing the camera angle it surprised me that we could do it).
Good job, also interesting technology choice this is the first game that I see using BuildBox I'll check it as it looks interesting.
Amazing art, good sound effects, great gameplay I would pay for this game if it was for Oculus Quest.
Thanks for this entry I really enjoyed playing it.
Hello, interesting use of the theme. I really like how simple and elegant your the game is, this is a great example of having a good base mechanic and really make it shine. Also the music is fantastic. Thanks for this submission I really enjoyed it.
@defrag Thanks for your review! :) If you want to test the more advanced skill without spending time earning the souls you can press F1 on the windows version XD (It was there for debug but you can use it XD, let's say that I imagined that people want to be rich everywhere so I kept it)
@munkkeli Thanks for your kind words :) this time I really tried to focus into keeping things clean and polished, too bad that people didn't like my design decision on the movement, I'm getting there though jeje :) (Next time I'll just do WASD without "car" movement). It was fun because I hesitated a lot between various way of moving but as I wanted to make it harder to dodge guards so I went all in with this and apparently no one liked it jaja.
@kurakurture jeje thanks for your comments, yeah the policeman at the beginning doesn't bother a lot but then are a pain in the ass as soon as they are enough and the houses start to have alarms on them :)
About making games more colorful it is a topic that I need to improve in because as a Software Engineer I love programming but I'm very, very bad at graphics and music. In fact this is the first year that I go full 3D and I was a bit scared (Usually I put 3 pixels together and I say, Voilà here is my character XD).
I'll try to improve on this for the next time :)
@alexascher thanks for your feedback!! I'm glad to know that you enjoyed the game :)
How many nights have you managed to survive?
@caudatecoder jeje thanks for the video it has been very fun to watch ;)
Also I loved when you have read the description it is clear that I was mega tired when I wrote it xD (People inside buildings xD)
Amazing art style, very, very original for a videogame :)
Good job!
I loved the art and the music, it is very interesting how you achieved to create this retro style.
Also Interesting movement decision, at the beginning I didn't like it but I got used to it very quickly and I started to love it :)
Good job overall you did a very solid entry :)
Thanks for creating this game I really enjoyed it.
I love the Pokémon red / blue style of graphics that you manage to achieve in your game.
Also I rarely play / design games that are "turned based" because I like motion in games but the way of how your game works it is very interesting as it doesn't feel that your are playing "turn based" as you can act as fast as you want to, but at the same time you get the benefits of being able to stop and think.
Good job, thanks for this submission :)
buah... Adventureeeee ♫♫♫♫♬♬♩♩♩
Jaja loved the song and the sound effects :)
Good job!
First of all I loved the start screen and the sounds there.
Interesting weapon choice, it takes a bit to master but I stared to feel quite confident after a while (at the beginning it was a paint when I was being chased as I was drawing the triangles behind the guy jeje)
Good job and solid entry, thanks for making it!
I really liked the pixel art on your game, also good job with the lights.
Also congratulations on the controls and the movement it feels reallh solid and well done and this is something that I allways struggle with :)
Thanks for your submission ;)
I didn't know that I used to hate ants, but after playing your game for a while I feel the same.
BTW: I love cake too xD
Good job ;)
I love how polished the game looks and as someone else said it is impressive the amount of systems that you manage to code in this short period of time.
Also I love how clean the art and the color choice looks :)
Very solid entry, good job.
Nice screen transitions between the scenes, also I loved the graphics and the world that you have been able to create in this short period of time.
It is an amazing entry, good job :)
Please make this a mobile game :) I would play it for sure jeje.
Very good entry and very polished, the music made me smile right away and I think that your interpretation of the theme was very good jeje.
Thanks for this entry I enjoyed playing it :)
Great game I love the mood that it achieves, the music in conjunction with the "ridiculous" movements mechanics makes this game hilarious.
Good job it is very original.
Thanks for posting this game :)
Interesting game, straight to the point, easy to understand.
I liked the background music.
The game is quite easy (I managed to dodge columns for more than 2 minutes until at some point I was scared that you would put a jump scare on it xD). I would love to see more content :)
Also I appreciate that you did it from scratch, this adds more value to the entry even if LD doesn't rate this (I personally appreciate it :))
Thanks for your entry.
I'm not able to advance more than the edge of the screen, am I missing something?
Untitled.png
The graphics are amazing (and after looking at your code I appreciate it more as you did something from scratch in C++)
I know that Ludum Dare doesn't rate tech complexity or any other technical aspects but I personally appreciate that you took the time to write your own thing :)
Great job :)
Jeje as many said you really managed to get a dark souls un 72 hours, good job.
Also I loved the fact that you can do a Roly Poly (Watch the following video XD) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gAxcGkAY2I
Thanks a lot for your entry I really enjoyed playing your game!
I really liked this game, good music, good art, solid mechanics and the best of it is that it reminds me to real life.
As a programmer I feel like Nosferatu when I go to the beach xD so I had experience already :)
Jokes aside good job, thanks for this entry :)
I really loved the presentation of the game, how the game stops to tell you to dodge and the manga style image in that moment.
The music is awesome and the effects are quite fun.
Thanks for this entry I really enjoyed playing it :)
Very good game, as someone said I would love to play it on my phone :)
Interesting concept, the graphics are very well done and the music achieves a dark ambience that is very appropriate for the situation.
Thanks for this submission :)
Also I think that is the first game for now that I play that used Unreal (I have seen Unity, plain Javascript and Godot), I'm curious about how easy is to create games with this engine, was it a good experience?
Your art style, landing page, the logo, the main screen music are just perfect, it feels very, very polished (it doesn't look like a 48h game).
Somehow it reminds me a lot to the Nintendo art style.
You really master the tools that you are using (the whole game screams it), thanks for submitting this game.
I'll try to PLAY IT AGAIN tonight to see more details ;)
Jeje I love the graphics of this game, somehow it reminds me to PS1 games (Like bugs life).
Also I loved the jumping animation.
Good job, thanks for this entry.
Amazing art I love it.
Also I really enjoyed the game mechanics, it is one of the funniest typing games that I have played.
Great job :)
Thanks for your entry.
Jaja to be honest the first time I skipped very quickly as I wanted to go to the "game", interesting way of participating I really liked it. I hope that you enjoyed the time with your family :)
Amazing game, nice graphics and music :)
Thanks for this entry!
Amazing graphics and sound, as some people said maybe we would love to know have more information but at the same time is a good thing (We want to know more jeje).
Good job guys!
Amazing graphics I really love pinball and you managed to achieve a very cool one :)
Thanks for this entry I really enjoyed playing it :)
First of all very nice menu, I never have seen the line effect around the buttons and I think that it is a nice touch. It really gives you the initial "wow effect :)"
Also I loved the screen transitions.
The game itself has a simple mechanic but very well executed and polished. Also there are some serious post processing effects that are extremely cool (you really paid attention to details).
Also I loved the fact that you took the time to add a ranking and the "minimap" of points of the ranking in the bottom of the screen feels very professional.
IDK I think that this game could ship today as a mobile game and I would play it :)
Good job to all of you :)
Thanks for this entry.
Shit someone is going to get fired because of that:
Capture.PNG
Jokes aside, very interesting game super stressing but very fun, I'll try to see if I manage to save the villagers this time :)
Thanks for this submission.
I loved how the beam falls if you don't move it is a nice touch jaja also I loved the fact of being able to swim a little bit (as someone already said) it makes it better than getting insta killed.
Also the water and how the icebergs ascend is very clean and nice.
Good job!
Thanks for your entry :)
Interesting game, I wasn't expecting how it would look like jeje, very original and creative :)
Good job and thanks for your entry.
I loved the game over fiiiiiiiiu pum! Also I like the tinny detail of the atmosphere that you have created for the earth (IDK it is cool jeje)
Also I found interesting the fact that the curvature of the asteroid sometimes makes shooting a bit difficult.
Good job overall!
Thanks for this entry.
Good music and I also loved the mixing mechanics. The dialog at the beginning and the fact that it is a pig who speaks with you, makes me think that this is not the first time that this dude drank the "wrong potion" jeje.
Thanks for you entry it has been very fun to play :)
I loved the graphics, unfortunately I have the following error when I press "Use".
Use.PNG
Maybe i'm doing something wrong but I wanted to tell you just in case it has an easy fix.
won.PNG
I did it!
Jaja at the beginning I thought... mmm another color mixing game, but I couldn't stop playing until I won jaja good job on the art, the execution, the music, the animations and everything in general it is a perfectly executed concept.
Thanks for your entry!
Very addictive, in the end I was kind of able to mine and get solar at the same time, as I'm right handed it was difficult though as I need to mine in my left (with my right hand) and use the space (with my left hand) in the right of the screen.
It is a great game for aspiring pianists jaja as you need to do multitasking with both hands :)
Thanks for this entry.
I loved the pixel art of the game, also It is my kind of games I died for lack of sleep jaja I thought that this wouldn't kill me. Also the music is very nice. I'll try again to see if I manage to go further than 10 docs :)
Thanks for your game ;)
Loved the game, nice graphics and the puzzles where so cool :)
Scary entry jeje, freaking footsteps :) (I rarely play horror games as I'm a coward)
I achieves what it wants to achieve so good job :)
Also what is fun is that I hate corners in horror games and your game is full of theme so interesting torture XD
Good job and thanks for your entry!
I really like this game, this reminds me to a sad situation that we lived in Spain (in la isla de la palma) but i really achieves what it was designed for, I would love to see a version where I have unlimited resources to build from the beginning :)
Thanks for this game.
Good theme interpretation!
Thanks for this entry it has been very fun to play.
Jeje first I tried it in normal and it was quite easy but then in hard F***ing birds!
Thanks for your submission :)
Very good music, I really achieves the mood that you are looking for. Also the graphics are very, very well done.
The experience it is very, very clean for a 48 hour game, congratulations that is a very solid entry :)
Thanks for creating this game I enjoyed playing it :)
First of all the menus feel very clean and nice, the font that you have used it is a really nice choice.
The art itself its amazing and the game mechanics are very creative and fun. (I love when the taxman appears jeje).
Also I love when you add random sounds like the clock and things like this.
Good job this is one of my favorite entries :)
Interesting use of the shadows, it is a bit tricky to time it right but it is fun to play.
I'm very interested about the graphic style, it really looks like a PS1 / PS2 game what was your source of inspiration?
Thanks for the submission!
I love how you managed to create an entertaining game with minimal graphics I really loved the mechanics, good job!
Thanks for creating this game :)
XD It really remembers me to a game that I used to play a lot when I was a child called Crash Bandicoot I think that it was the first one. To be honest I used to hate the levels where I was being chased looking at the camera by a monster behind the character and I need to admit that I hate your game as well because it makes my heart go faster and sweat a bit, so GOOD JOB :)
Seriosly the game is very well done, the sounds are fun, the art the mood, the humor everything is very nice :)
Good job, I like the game it has a nice music jeje and the seeds start very, very slowly but they grow exponentially jeje, Solid entry :)
@gcake shhh!!!! jaja you realized! Let's pretend that it is a feature not a bug ;)
Good job on surviving until night 8, my max score after finding some more nasty things to do (with the way I programmed the "AI") is 12 xD.
Thanks for your feedback and Happy new year :) !!!
Wow it feels unreal how clean your game looks! Also the idea of having the whole game inside a turning circle it is very original, It is the first time that I have seen it. You are very talented, very good job :)
Jaja as someone who is a junkie of Adventure Capitalist and all this games where you need to accumulate resources I loved it, it is impressive how addictive this things are to me XD. Good job :)
I love the art style I find it to be very unique and personal, also the camera angle at the beginning I was like WTF? I thought wow I will hate it, but not really :) everything works well, it feels pretty natural to me and it is very well put together (mechanics, art, music, gameplay, day and night cicle) IDK what to say it is a very, very solid entry with a lot of personality, good job :)
Very original! Congratulations :)
Good Job, I allways loved to play Snake on my Nokia 3310 (I'm old I know xD), The music, the ambience, the game is very nice and it is very well executed. To be honest the first time I didn´t understood all the mechanics, but I played a couple of times so I understood a bit how to organize myself to progress a little bit. Good job, a very solid entry!!! :)
I am on top of the colossus! Good job I like the "tool" swing and the climbing was very clean :)
Wow, I love the art style, the music (it really fits to the action happening on the game), the controls, particles... Well to be honest I love everything about this game (the integrated tutorial for the controls it is nice as well), IDK what to say, very nice entry and very good job ;)
Very good game, I love your pixel art style, it is very effective I really wish I could do something like this but I always feel that I lack pixels to represent what I want to xD.
I love the pumpkins, they are very funny and also I love how monsters pushes you back when they hit you it is a very nice touch that ads "weight", intention, shugar? xD To the game :)
Good Job :)!!
Hello, good job with your game, me and my wife love to play puzzle games together and we really enjoyed playing yours :). It reminds us to one game that we've played when we were younger about pingu :) Also the graphics are very, very nice and clean :) Great Job and Happy 2023!
Wow as some said respect, I need to check a bit Cubzh as it is the first time I know about it but yeah to be able to pull out a multiplayer game in a Jam it is super impressive also the graphics are nice IDK what else to say keep up with the great work as it looks like you are very good at what you do :) Congratulations on your entry.
BTW: All the code is in one file?? XD That is very interesting, again good job :)
I like the initial dialog, I need it now! (No pressure for the farmer xd). It reminds me a lot to one of my favorite web game (Adventure Capitalist). Very good job :)
The game looks very good and pretty scary I was please, no, please no (Jaja suspense kills me), the level design it is very well done as well.
It is true that is missing a bit of context, but what? doing this in a weekend it is impressive :) Good job, I really want to see your upcoming games :)
Happy new year!!
As @polynoggin said the Art! very lovely! All the icons, models... fit very, very well together I really thought that I was playing a game made by a team :).
Great Job!
Hehe the game has a lot of details that I love: - First the small animation at the beginning, it is just so cool as it is very well done and effective as it already creates some sort of atachment to the duck (he is dad with little ducks looking for mrs duck :)) - Also I love the initial camera transition, it is subtle but is there. - The tutorial is just dead simple no suprises boom WASD to move and the mic explanation and boom I know how to play and what to do. - From here it is just fun to try to save as many ducks as you can :) (Haha I feel a bit bad for the ducklings but well... gameplay) - The art is effective and nice and the music sets you in the right mood (so yeah everything is well tied together).
So, yeah very solid entry, good job and Keep it up!
Love the art as some said it really remind to Limbo, also the in game tutorial is very effective as information comes exactly when you need it without overwhelming the player.
The jump feels very good, the post processing effect is very nice and the mechanics are super nice as it makes you want to really limit the times that you double jump or do something that summons another enemy.
Great job overall, one of the best entries I played for now :)
Thanks @imbajoe, I'm sure that you are a fantastic parent for your quadruplets :)
@camd67 hehe, yes I'm trying to get better at tutorials + difficulty curves. I'm slowly getting there I guess... Being honest I might think about polish and publishing as the engine is quite easy to use to add new levels and some friends already gave me more ideas on things that I could include in later levels <3.
Thanks again for your review :)
@creepypvp thanks, yeah I was a bit reluctant at the beginning but a few hours in and I was already reassured that I made the right choice, being honest I don't see myself going to back to something heavier in terms of build tools... Also in the end I managed to just write a super silly ./deploy.sh command that allowed me to push updates quite easilly which was a real blessing for the last minute adjustments.
So yeah super recommended to everyone that might be considering C++ and raylib as their weapon of choice for the next compo :)
@justaroom wow that's already super far :) This one it is a bit tricky as you need to think "outside the box/map" xD.
Thanks for playing @justaroom I'm glad that you liked it :)
I'm glad that you liked it @kristinamay!
Yeah haha the real game starts there, yeah that was the level that convinced me that the game design was good enough as when I was doing it I was mmmm no-one will enjoy this :)
fantastic artstyle, also the sounds and the initial dialog are really nice :)
The idea itself is fun and well executed.
Good job :)
I love the walking animation, the music and the lighting the art in general.. It feels very polished for such a little time. Also I love how the music behaves when you speed up time. I would definetly buy a game with this level of graphic quality if you decide to continue with it :)
Amazing job!!
I love the style and how clean are the graphics, hehe I had the impression of being a scientist working in some sort of lab observing how cells move :)
+1 For using Raylib and Makefile I did something super similar in terms of build strategy :)
Solid entry team! Keep it up!
Yeah very cool game, I didn't know that I could code C# that fast! :)
Also the art itself it is super nice it has "ps2 vives", solid entry and very cool, keep it up! :)
I love the music, the gameplay in general and the ambience that this game achieves, impressive entry :)
It looks like one of those arcade games that I played when I was little, I was temped to insert a coin in my computer to play :)
Even if the game is not fully complete what I've seen is really good and has a lot of potential, great job :)
Incredible art and gameplay I love the Don't starve vives, this 3dish gameplay is allways hard to do right and you did a great job and super solid entry :)
ow! hehe, cute game :)
I've played the linux version, I have some graphical glitches but I've seen enough to say that the art is very good, hehe I was a fan of Gary's mod and this game reminded me a little bit to it.
Good job!
PS: I'll check the engine that you used as I've never heart about it.
Incredible entry, nice pixel art, good FX it makes me want to know more about pico 8 being honest :)
keep it up ;)
I allways loved mistery games, my wife and I used to play them quite a lot.
About the execution, nice introduction, nice font choice, good music, incredible pixel art (I wish I could draw like that...) IDK incredible entry team!
Keep the good work you rock!
(About the SPACE key I agree with the first review BUT WOW, that's nothing you did a fantastic job)
Great job, I love how the letters move it is very fun and creative :)
Fantastic entry!
Even if the game seems not to be fully complete the ART, OMG I love it, also I love where this is going, if you decide to continue it I would definetly play it to see how it ends :)
Loved playing the game, I love games where you can spawn entities and let them do their thing :) I wish it had more gameplay as I played several times to play in different setups. I would love to see the game more evolved so I could play more as the basis is super solid !!!
Keep it up I love where this is going !!!
Interesting concept, it took me a bit to realize how to achieve things but once you grasp it is really cool! Good job team :)
This is a super clean entry, "simple graphics" but so polished that feels clean and well rounded (Intentional would be the specific word). Also the mechanics are super polished it feels very, very nice. Solid entry, great job :)
Cute art and funny sound (psp!) also the music is nice :)
Even if it is not finished the game looks gorgeus.
Tried it out and got more hooked than I expected. I agree with others—the Geometry Dash-style timing mixed with layered visuals is a cool concept, though it took me a bit to get used to it. Great entry!! :)
Amazing job, art, music, everything, keep it up!
XD, very nice art, I laugh because I really feel bad to draw in such a beautiful game, it really makes me value more the art that you have put together. It is amazing!
Great job !!!
xD
Having done the whole engine, having a walking simulator instead of a triangle simulator is an amazing achivement!! :)
Hehe great entry, The shapes and the colors reminded me a bit to when I was playing gameboy pocket. Keep it up!
Love the main menu, the guy looks super badass.
The first thing that I did is land in a platform and die haha (it didn't look dangerous xD)
Love the music and the paralax efect, cute pixel art!
Solid entry, great job!
@sypiac and @javasaurus thanks for your comments, yeah unfortunately I ran out of time xD, let's say that pressing R to restart was a VERY NECESSARY feature that I added as I was always finding a new corner to get stuck xD
Thanks again for playing my game :)
Yeah sometimes momentum is not preserved and clearly audio and music are my weak spots.
Thanks for playing @alpalcalad !!
Incredible art, as others said the color palette is very nice and pleasing to watch, the music and this walkie talkie voice are so cool.
In terms of gameplay, the controls feel nice, the game is juicy (haha big bullets baby), also I loved the particles when using the jetpack.
It really feels like a game that could be sold in any store!
What I couldn't find is the source code, usually it doesn't matter to me but after seeing the files that you distribute I was curious to know what is the underlying tech, is it a custom engine on top of SDL2?
Anyway, incredible entry and if you used your own tech even more impressive!
Great job team!
Amazing job, also kudos on using your own tech, respect ;)
Love the art, the music, everything in general, it is an amazing entry <3
The game is a bit hard, but the music, the sounds the climbing mechanics brought me to some really old games that I used to play when I was a kid, haha I can't point why but I felt nostalgia.
Great entry, the art is nice, and respect for Steve!
The art is very nice and unique, the game itself it is quite difficult but that's also because I am not used to this kind of games.
Great entry!
xD when I read the title I was like mmmm do I want to play this xD?
Funnily enough the first thing that I did is fall out of the map (didn't see the swimming pool at first!)
I remember when I was a kid that in the last day of the swimming lessons, the teacher would collect a ton of coins and drop them into the swimming pool and we would have to dive to take them. It felt more or less the same haha.
If some other character would have been collecting coins I would be even more greedy and die more often.
Obviously there are some things to improve, but overall the idea is nice.
Also the icon when you loose it is cute, "breathe sometimes next time" it is a nice reminder xD
Keep it up buddy!
Hehe I love that you added a ranking system, you really want to try again, I like that you did something similar to what I did (in terms of interpretation), I've been in the mountains several times and when I was younger I liked to run down (not at this level off course) but IDK it really raised memories.
Good job!
Cool entry, wasn't expecting that at all xD also I learned the word "clasper" so thanks for this funny entry and the wisdom xD
Hehe I always have a hard time making the games work directly in the LD website, thanks god that you added also a ich io entry.
Haha by reading the description I knew what I would encounter but the starting music made me laugh xD
I hope that the global economy doesn't end like this:

Also interesting choice of tech I've never seen this pyxel library/engine I'll investigate it.
Good entry!
Lovely art and music, at the beginning instead of wanting to go up I wanted to go down haha as one of those fish that have the light I thought that I had to go back home xD
But once I understood, it has been nice, as others say it is relaxing and I think that it is minimastic, good fonts, nice color palette, IDK a very solid entry.
Also good catch on adding an alternative link, even games that are supposed to work in the LD website sometimes it is hard for my computer to make them run, so the itchio link was a blessing.
Great entry and keep it up!
I really like this type of games, well done !!!!
Super clean entry, good music, nice game mechanics, good art... Very well done!
At the beginning I thought that I was playing something like a MMORPG, the dialogs, the first dwarf that gets punched (haha that was good).
As some said that's a concept seen in some mobile ads, but still, even if you don't want to be evaluated on gfx, they are very nice, good particles a nice music... the game looks very good.
At around 800m (missing) I think that either there was a bug or the game was unfinished as I was seeing the skybox (a blue background).
Nice entry, this has potential to be one of those mobile games that you can sell on some store :)
Kudos on putting all this together in such a small ammont of time!
Hehe cute game, dig, dig, I entered in torunament mode and I feel the urge of digging! xD
Nice entry.
In windows though I had to disable the sticky keys shortcut as doing shift, shift x5 you are getting annoyed by a popup, but once I did it I could play without issues.
Great job!
Good, music, difficult puzzle but very nice. As somebody else mentioned love the fact that is a bit like the game of life. I'll let my wife play it as I am sure that she will get hooked to this as she is always playing all puzzle games that comes on her hands.
Good job!
Nice and chill game, make your pizza while listening a nice and relaxing tune.
Love some of the concepts done by others.
Shit I am hungry, haha guess what we will dinner tonight?
Great entry!
Very intentional entry, small color palette, simple shapes but incredible result. To me games like this show you that less is more. This is the type of things that are hard to achieve for me, I tend to think that you need to complicate things to make them nice, but this entries show you that it can be done.
Nice gfx, music, voiceover.. solid entry. Keep it up!
WOW, you are an artist! It is crazy how well you draw, play music... I'm super jealous to be honest! Also the concept is very good, doom scrolling is has indeed depths, sometimes too deep right?
Incredible, seriously, respect!
Doom vives baby, great job :) !!!
The atmosphere was cool and I liked the idea with the totem. The platforming felt a bit rough at times, especially with the lighting, but overall pretty fun! Great entry :)!!
First of all I love the main menu style, very good first impression!
I love the modifiers concept, it is nice that you took the time to use cyber security terms, also the art in general is very well done.
The only thing that I struggled a little bit is that as the character turns with the mouse if you are not a bit intentional on where do you place your mouse it is easy to turn around quite fast. It is a minor thing but it happened when the game launched and I was like... huh?
But yeah a part from that very cool, you are very talented :)
Keep it up!
I love this kind of games, I've read histories on how hard this kind of jobs are, the art is very nice, the ambience very good, the mechanics are cool. IDK very well executed, I really love it!
Great entry, missing a bit of juice but, the pixel art is lovely, collision detection works well and the mechanics are there. This is impressive for a a game jam taking in account that you used a library instead of a fully fledged game engine.
Hehe at work I use Python so whenever I can I run to something else, how was the experience of developing this game in Python? (Doesn't look like a bad Idea :))
Keep it up!!!
@jamesgames1000 yeah, it is a bit harder, it is clear that you need this extra work to get some particles, lighting physx.. but you did well, you must be proud of yourself!!!
I tend to go from engine to something more raw (depending on the theme being honest), if I want to do something 3D I go with Unity. If I want to do something else I've used things like Raylib, Haxe, even Java!
But yeah again, very nice and kudos un pulling all of this from scratch!
@jamesgames1000 well Raylib, Haxe is a very interesting language, the lib that I lke to use with it is called Haxe Flixel https://haxeflixel.com/ and Java being honest I think that it is a bit outdated, I did it back when Notch was more present and using Java wasn't that outdated xD.
Something else that I might use very likely is pixijs (Usually I am not a huge fan of Js/Ts but here it is very nice as you can just embeed it and people can play directly).
Anyway, I've seen that you tried my game, thanks for playing it <3
The 3d models are well done, the sounds are cute, I have the same blue rectangle on the screen that confused me a lot as I couldn't see the fish correctly, but being a game done in so short it is a very solid game.
Haha it took me a while to realize that the fish can go outside the water but once I understood it it has been cool.
Very cool entry, keep it up!!!
