I don't know if it was just me, but I find it too hard to hit the targets. Like, if it is even 2 pixels off it does not connect. And after I got the weapon upgrade, I did no damage (the bolts were moving through Putin with no impact animations)
I like this! the art is GREAT, and the mood is (rightfully so) melancholy. I wish there was a way to make it faster, as after the first run (which is understandably short) I went at it again but had to wait through the same dialogue. But I'm just nit-picking. Great entry!
the core mechanic is there (and its decent! I got at 12), but I think you can bring up the 'feel' of the game by adding more effects, screen shake, sound, etc. Still, a decent little experiance
So, I think this is just 'kitten game' but with Aztecs instead of kittens. still, you did a good job making it!
Less hectic that a bullet hell shooter, but more than a regular turret game. Pretty fun!
Nice! Took me 2 rounds before I figured it out, but once I did I quite enjoyed it. Only suggestion I have it to maybe have a better tutorial. Maybe a video (you could even put the video on the page, not in the game) would help explain it better?
Very nice! I like the idea, and had a lot of fun (even if I didn't get very fall). I played the compo version, so I am not sure if you fixed this, but it would be nice if you tell someone to fix, they would fix OTHER holes after. Just like I said, I played the compo version. Very nice!
no going to play (or rate) because My browser (chrome) AND antivirus says it is suspect (I don't want to download a virus). Thought you should be aware
very nice! I would day, the mouse sensitivity is VERY high (I was moving my mouse a hair and I could do a 360 spin). Other than that, I live the idea (I loved the fishing. Very reminiscent of Stardew Valley)
Beat it! Unlike a lot of games, I really felt drawn to actually FINISH this one. Very fun!
I like the lighting effect. You did a good gob with the spawning and the time of movement I did not like the sound. There was VERY little sound, and what WAS there was annoying my wife (who was in the same room). So, I guess add some music, or maybe at least give the zombies a walking sound that increases as the get closer. Also, The art is... Not there. this is just a blocked out game atm. I guessing this is your first game/project. you did a lot of good things, but you have just as much to improve on
Like Others have said, I really like the idea, but it jut needs more balancing. I feel like the game will be GREAT, but as it is it is just too tedious. Love the idea though! Would love to come back after balancing/fixing and play it again
Another thing I will add: it is too dark. Like, It is hard to see the plants needs, because they are all the same general hue of the ground. A more 'vivid' depiction of the UI will make it a lot easier to see
Nice! its a duck!
Love it! The jumping was a little hard to get used to, but I figured it out. Love the dialogue. it was fun and quirky
12! Couldn't seem to get more, but still, a fun little game
So, I am now number 2. Only reason I didn't go for #1 was because I didn't want to keep going (I was getting board). you can cheese this game by just running your mouse at the top of the screen rapidly. You need some kind of limiter, or maybe comets coming from another direction?
But the art was great! This was probably one of the best looking LDgames I have seen so far! the effects are good, and the zoomin on the glowing ones was cool
Very nice! reminds me of SanctuaryRPG, I feel like this will take a VERY long time to get to a point where you could kill the angel, but that may just be me
The idea is good, but I didn't feel like their was a lot of gameplay. maybe I just didn't know what I was doing
@EmberUshi Thanks! My first thought was to have 3-4 needles show on screen at a time, and a limited number of clicks to color them all, but... well, I ran out of time. Another idea was to have Tertiary colors, but I ditched that since I don't think it would be easily to differentiate red, orange, and reddish orange
I will try to make the animation faster next time!
@charlesschar Thanks! I had hoped to have more sound, but ran out of time
@muriel thank you! Glad you stuck with it :p
@asmadigames I agree that the puzzles were a bit simple. But, my first attempt that took the first 18 hours of the jam was BAD, so I had to pivot late Saturday. Since this is my second game in-engine and first LD (Other games have taken me months to make), I think it came out OK. I have some ideas to make the puzzles more interesting, but didn't have time to implement (also, I would have loved to have the guy grow in the vat as you got the shots right, and dissolve if you ran out of time, but... no time :p thanks for the compliments on the art/sound/atmosphere!
@smiley Thanks! I was going to do an eye-spy type game with a LOT of things going on. You had to find the things that will keep you awake. There was 4-5 scenes (in the car, desk at work, eating in restraunt, etc.). I actually had it working in engine with placeholder graphics, but when I went to do the art, I realized that the scope was WAY too much! and most importantly, it wasn't FUN. I was bored playing it, and if the maker is bored, the player will defiantly be bored. so I pivoted. I started doodling in Aseprite, and they guy was the first thing I drew. And I just kept building the scene, and came up with the idea from there.
its simple, but.. oddly enjoyable
Like others, I just couldn't figure it out. But, I cant figure out REAL taxes either, so.... Good job! Very realistic!
Overall a decent game. you got the 'game feel' down pretty good. the sound and graphics were nice, and the physics seem to work predictably. It was fun for a minuet or two, but Wasnt much to kep me engaged after I died (I know you have missions and cosmetics, but I need to play some other games)
