This looks stunning from what I can tell so far, but there seems to be some kind of bug on the WebGL version (macOS tried on both Brave and Safari) that renders the game much wider than fullscreen. I'll check back later to try playing again in case you're able to fix it.

This game is great! I played it before the browser version's resolutions stuff was fixed, but still had a great time. The art style is great and I love the concept. Awesome job!

Really well done. I'm not very familiar with this type of game, resource management with passive crafting like an idle game, but I like it a lot. The scaling complexity of managing the resources is very satisfying. The moving target of what to produce and when to invest in scholarship works great. I do wish the icons were a little larger for my bad eyes.

I love the visuals, it looks great! Especially the screen shake when new idols drop. Just wish it had sound.

I did notice an issue where when I had a lot of jobs unlocked, the tooltip for the one at the bottom went off the edge of the screen, so I couldn't see what it would make.

I made 609 days! looks great and easy to understand. only problem is the bottom of the list being cut off, but just keeping ALL the numbers high was a good enough strategy towards the end. Great Submission and goes well with the theme!

Glad I came back to play this, had a lot of fun playing. The pixel art totems look awesome and the UI is clean. I will say that it became very difficult as more technology was unlocked, I think the game might benefit from slightly fewer resource types, or maybe a slower ramp, but I know how difficult these kinds of games are to balance. Trying again now to see if I can get any further!

Pretty game and I like the management type gameplay, I just wish there would've been something more to do while your people are doing their thing. I know it's cliche for a game like this but maybe a clicker mechanic? Either way, beautiful presentation, but I wish there was audio as well!

Really liked this! The idols looked great and I liked the effect of the slightly fuzzy filter you used. Agreed that music would have been nice, but I don't think I've played a strategy game quite like this and found it really refreshing!

I really liked this. Not a genre I'm familiar with but the icons for what each task and job required were clear and understandable so I managed to figure out enough to start having fun :) I liked the Aztec theme, the statues with the names of different gods were really cool. Really interesting, and fits the theme well! :)

Wow, absolutely stunning! I liked the idea of uncovering jobs, though I lost a god or two that needed snakes way before I had them unlocked (turned out it was like, five things too early). The visuals on the left were neat, I like the snake-head-looking one.

So, I think this is just 'kitten game' but with Aztecs instead of kittens. still, you did a good job making it!

Love the overall mood and aesthetics! The gameplay is quite interesting and not what I had expected (which is not a bad thing). I like how the statues slowly lose their color to show how long they have left, really neat way to do interface.

I put all 5 people on the scholar and it took me way too long to realize that it wasn't doing anything because I didn't have a gem for each person, lol. I made it to 450 days.

Nice idea, took me a bit to understand what was happening, but once I figured it out I really got into it. It would be cool if the worker showed an icon of what they needed/created so i didnt need to keep hovering over them all the time, but I guess that is part of the challenge. Very good game though, well done!

The presentation is very cool but I'm having problems with the actual gameplay. At first I kept thinking I'm doing something wrong with assigning 1 of my 5 humans to each job but there seems to be no other way. When you get the farmer job it gets impossbile becauee you have no human to fill that job and there is no way to produce any without what the farmer produces.

@davison look at the tooltip when you move the cursor over a job, probably you don't have the needed resources :smile:

Keep in mind you add villagers with left click, but also remove them with right click :v:

Great game, really enjoyed it! Seems like i broke it though. Seed production stopped changing around the 1k Gatherer mark, didnt go up or down anymore. Since lategame production is quite dependant on Seeds through Hunters and Miners it stopped me from going further. Though i can still sustain any Production enough to continue playing forever.brokensun.png

@davide-rossetto I think the balance is good enough. Without bugs like mine it should play really well, though it kind of turns into an idle game with good optimization. ^^ If you intend to continue working on this gem of a game in the future, you should add a butcher to get meat from goats and grant less gold from Miners so Sifters still have a place.

Really fun management game once I took a few minutes and really paid attention to everything and learned how to play. I found the icons a little hard to distinguish, I personally like different colours but I understand it's a trade-off with the visual style. Speaking of visuals, the graphics are amazing!! Great style, great game.

Very creative, gorgeous art style, and quite enjoyable to play! I made it to 688 days. Got a little carried away getting more villagers and missed the objectives, then it was too late to recover haha

I survived for 453 days on my first game. About to start my second now that I know how to play.

I really liked this game. A lot. My favorite things were definitely: * Excellent strategic depth, a really good resource management game * Wonderful art * A great job creating an extra time pressure with the gods timers making me constantly adjust my strategy * No clear "better than the others" resources but rather "what ingredients do I need to keep god x/y/z happy"

Really good game, one of my favorites.

Some feedback: * I would have like to see my score go up. It counted down how many days until the end of the world but I didn't see how many days I was alive. * After I had researched a lot of jobs I couldn't see what the job on the bottom did because the mouse-over popup was hidden under the screen * You have a lot of empty space on the screen early on (before unlocking all the jobs). I would recommend you put the rules there for people that blasted past the text at the beginning so they could learn what they are doing (skipping instruction text is common for gamers).

Noooooo! Good idea but buggy. I had 25 gold nuggets while the effigy needed 11 and no action no matter what I do. This is how I supposed it to work. If I'm wrong, the instructions where poor. The idea is great though and the feeling of the game is great. Wish it had worked.

It's easy to put yourself in a scenario that you have to restart the game. Some more guidance to avoid that would be preferable. Other than that, I like the core loop and theme connection. Great job!

Strangely addicting, given that I don't usually play these kinds of games! I had a lot of fun! The art style is nice and simple, too. Maybe the Mesoamerican topic seems a bit tacked on, but I like seeing it represented more, so I had no problem with that!

Really addicting and fun! Took me a bit to understand how to play, precisely why the villagers weren't doing anything and what to do with totems on the left. Then I got it all and loved it! Graphically it's really good, although some of the icons were too small for me (on the web version, next time add a button to play fullscreen). Some sound effects and music would make the experience even better. Nice job!

Always loved a good worker-mechanic, which this definitely is. Great game that makes a lot of fun!

Graphics are also great, and the theme is spot on.

The only thing I was missing a bit was some music. And this 'tooltip being cut off' bug makes the game very hard as soon as the job list starts getting full (WebGL version at least): blacksun.PNG

The mechanics of this were really good! I really wanted to play more (it's VERY addicting!), but towards the end it gets very unwieldy: you have to mouse over every entry all the time to check what it does, and then find the proper item in the inventory to see how much of that you have. Quite cumbersome! Also The bottom entries text was cut off. Art was really nice and overall very well presented. Music or at least sound effects would have been very welcome for this type of game.

I really enjoyed this one. It definitely felt a little more like an idle/clicker than resource management but it was a lot of fun anyway. The graphics of the totems were really nice. The icons were, as others have said, a bit small and hard to comprehend. One of my favorite parts was guessing what an icon might be before you unlock the job that produces it to see the tooltip.
