Nice! Simplistic gameplay but graphics, mood, and sound design are good. Adding sound effects could be a good improvement.

My only complaint would be that a lot of the game feels like animations taking too long.
The mood is cool, and while the mechanic on display is simple, I could imagine it expanding out to many different mechanics to perform like paper please, or more colours to mix.
It's cool.
@EmberUshi Thanks! My first thought was to have 3-4 needles show on screen at a time, and a limited number of clicks to color them all, but... well, I ran out of time. Another idea was to have Tertiary colors, but I ditched that since I don't think it would be easily to differentiate red, orange, and reddish orange
I will try to make the animation faster next time!
@charlesschar Thanks! I had hoped to have more sound, but ran out of time
Nice! Who is this guy? If i looked like that Id say just let me die please :') I saw you said about Tertiary colours, I think if you have a preview of the colour It might work? imo I think that would be an awesome way to take the game further if you was going to. Great idea and the theme is perfect!

I did it!
Jaja at the beginning I thought... mmm another color mixing game, but I couldn't stop playing until I won jaja good job on the art, the execution, the music, the animations and everything in general it is a perfectly executed concept.
Thanks for your entry!
@muriel thank you! Glad you stuck with it :p
The music, the animations, and the graphics are great, creates a solid atmosphere and expresses the theme well. The game itself is not super interesting, but it does function fine. I think the puzzle there would need to be a bit more intricate or varied to be fun.
@asmadigames I agree that the puzzles were a bit simple. But, my first attempt that took the first 18 hours of the jam was BAD, so I had to pivot late Saturday. Since this is my second game in-engine and first LD (Other games have taken me months to make), I think it came out OK. I have some ideas to make the puzzles more interesting, but didn't have time to implement (also, I would have loved to have the guy grow in the vat as you got the shots right, and dissolve if you ran out of time, but... no time :p thanks for the compliments on the art/sound/atmosphere!
Brilliant graphics!
Do you really believe this can be called "prolonging life?"
Simple gameplay and well-made graphics that match. The music and sound effects are also awesome, congratulations!
It took me a while to know how to generate the colors, but that's because I missed my art classes.
Great one! Love the color mixing mechanic. I was having trouble distinguishing between red and orange at first (maybe I need to turn f.lux off ๐ ). How to play screen is informative and concise. The progressively worsening sparks and flashing are prefect feedback, and once the alarm starts blaring, it really cranks up the stress. My mouse cursor disappeared on the game over screen.
Oh, and thanks for the title card! ๐
Nice game.
Everything is fine, but I think itโs worth reducing the dynamics when a loss approaches, itโs very distracting. Everything else is great!
I really like the art + music. I agree with other that the animations felt a little long, it adds some tension but I'm also kinda impatient lol. Overall a really fantastic atmosphere though :D
Nice relaxing game, apart from the flashing alarm and brutal time limit. The art and music worked well.
You did well even though you lost some time at the start of the jam.
one idea to maybe change the way this works is to have the powders as liquids in tanks, and you hit the buttons of the tanks to mix, then hit the button to create. that way you dont click extra times. also you can have more colors for more combinations and have the timer time you on how long it takes you to figure out how to make that color. you could also add in that mini game chemical mixer mechanic from the new resident evil 2 remake to this for added in difficulty. overall was fun to play with.
+1 to the animations being just a tad bit long. They were good animations, it just felt like I was taken out of the game and had to watch for a few seconds.
Great well-defined art, good sounds (got really loud when we got into emergency state).
But hey, first Ludum Dare and you went for compo, that's incredible, nice job! You should be proud.
I like what you are doing here for this game. I jumped in without reading the instructions and enjoyed fumbling through it to figure it all out.
Possibly once the sparks start flying, lower the volume of the sounds. It kind of peaks a bit Maybe have a mode for color blind people
Somehow, this gameplay reminds me of Red String Club. One part of that game is making porcelains to grant personality to cyber humans, which I feel is similar here to your entry. It is a very well-scooped experience. Nice Job!
Nice idea with the color mixing. Gratz on finishing the compo with your second game. What was the first one about and what made you trash it?
Good job, it's simple yet very well executed and it's easy to understand what needs to be done.
The visuals are really good!
The music was nice, but it's not looping perfectly, which was a bit annoying to hear. Nice animations and sounds overall :)
Good entry!
@smiley Thanks! I was going to do an eye-spy type game with a LOT of things going on. You had to find the things that will keep you awake. There was 4-5 scenes (in the car, desk at work, eating in restraunt, etc.). I actually had it working in engine with placeholder graphics, but when I went to do the art, I realized that the scope was WAY too much! and most importantly, it wasn't FUN. I was bored playing it, and if the maker is bored, the player will defiantly be bored. so I pivoted. I started doodling in Aseprite, and they guy was the first thing I drew. And I just kept building the scene, and came up with the idea from there.
