Fun and creative! Typing is the only thing I can do at not-a-snail's-pace, so I was drawn to this one. The tutorial was actually kind of brilliant! Thought it could have ramped up to even more challenging toward the end. The audio was satisfying, too. Nice!
Wow! 🤩 Best game of the jam I've played so far! This is definitely my cup of tea. So much content - I was actually surprised at how long it went on. Love the story. Love the looping concept. Love all the dystopian future elements. And thanks for the tip about allowing the music.
I want to know who the woman is and why she's important - you should make a sequel!
Nice game! Well-done graphics, nice sound effects (I like the voiceover!), and definitely fits the theme. Not sure if it might have been intentional, but the controls felt like they could have been more responsive.
Wow, okay - the art is fantastic, the idea is great, and it definitely fits the theme. For me, at least, it was way too challenging. Love the idea of building the level yourself.
It's not ugly! The weird, little modular creatures are adorable, haha! Great concept, but I didn't feel like I had enough agency in propagating my species. Felt like I was at the whim of the cards. Theme is spot on, of course. Music is nice, too.
Very cool! 🐻 Super fun and cute concept. Biggest issue I had was game defaulted to way oversized in my browser window. I had to reduce to ~60% to see the whole gameplay area at once. The difficulty really ramped up - I felt the dash wasn't enough of a help to overcome the time pressure. It was perfect how the stands changed color to let you know you could pick up the item!
Wow, creepy. If you were seeking to evoke an unsettling feeling you've done it successfully. The simplicity was a benefit to the game and let you really soak in the mood. Graphics and audio both added to the effect, too. Nice job!
Dang. This is a heck of a social experiment, and pretty ambitious for a jam game. Smaller brush sizes, pls? Great work!
Haha, yesterday I put this up:

And today I came back to find:
Fish2.jpg
Thanks whoever made that, I love it! 🐟
Well, the gameplay is not the most engaging, but this game is hilarious and everyone should give it a try once just for a good laugh! 😂
Very nice! I came for the "Eldritch" and stayed for the unique top-down, turn-based gameplay. Definitely fits the theme - there is no stopping the Old Ones, we really are just delaying the inevitable, haha.
I was able to zoom out with - but could then never zoom back in with +. And the dialogue in the top-left as well as the character stats in the top-right were definitely too small.
Very awesome entry - would enjoy trying a fully fleshed out version of this!
The art and overall mood are absolutely beautiful! The fun factor just wasn't quite high enough to keep me playing long. Could be a great mini game within a bigger project.
Very nice! Love the concept! The way the first round or two introduces you to the gameplay before adding the "red is opposite" mechanic is perfect. Then it starts to mess with your mind, so it is a challenge!
Did I do it? There was music playing and nothing happening for what seemed like quite a while, and then I started to fall asleep, haha. I definitely wanted to get to the end. The concept was very funny and effective at the beginning. Somewhere in the middle I started to loose interest, but went on anyway. Overall great concept!
This is an absolutely beautiful little platformer! 😊 The art, music, atmosphere are top-notch and the bungie string mechanic is unique. I was frustrated with not understanding the click to interact mechanic at first, finally got it, but then found it too difficult to swing across using the two logs. Maybe just a keypress to "auto-grab" the nearest target?
Nice game! Really great concept, nice graphics. I had trouble finding any more resources than the ones right at the start, so I didn't make too much progress. The game also glitched out a bit right at the beginning, but then loaded in okay.
Phew, okay. The graphics, audio, framing device, and overall polish were all amazing. The minigames themselves? Lackluster. There were no controls explained for any of them. And they just weren't that fun to play. I think maybe revamping and/or replacing some of the minigames would elevate the fun factor!
I had some trouble with the first orb in the ice crevasse. Wasn't sure whether I had to interact with X, and couldn't seem to get anything but a game over at that point. Penguin is adorable! And I loved the little surprise change of pace from narrative to action.
Very nice. Absolutely love the atmosphere - stylistic graphics, sound effect, mood. Gameplay felt like it was lacking... something, but not sure what. Maybe keep iterating on it, because it's an interesting concept!
Fantastic! I tried at first in the browser with full screen, and there was such a huge input delay, it wasn't really playable. I'm glad I refreshed and gave it another go in framed mode. It's visually beautiful. It's unique, fun. As an old fan of StepMania and now a Beat Saber player, I really appreciate a rhythm game! I would have liked for the songs to be longer, but of course, it's just a weekend Jam so what can you expect? I recognized the "swamp song." And I'll bet the last of my Gysahl Greens the cat one was inspired by the Chocobo Theme. Finally, of course, the music and sound was beautiful.
Nice little series of minigames. I don't think my spacebar mashing or clicking had any effect on the cat or boulder. I was able to do the pushups with the arrow keys and click the apple. The one with the four guys was a little confusing.
Ah, thanks for the additional info! I was able to delay the cat - didn't know to click the word at first 😅
Very fun and funny! I love the dystopian vibe of why everyone is being rounded up and imprisoned. Very considerate to include the content warning and subtitles for anyone who may need them. I would have liked a "fast forward" option to move through the other players' turns. And I think I would have preferred more realistic players over the cartoony looking ones.
This would be interesting as a multiplayer game, too!
Thanks for that feedback @flaterectomy! That was one thing I really wasn't sure of - whether I'd managed to get the idea across. Memories from a parallel universe where you'd done things differently were supposed to be bleeding through. And if you managed to remember having a daughter, you could somehow switch to that parallel universe where you never went on the trip and thus never died.
Hey, nice platformer! I liked the flavor text about the intentional nerfing through over the air updates and what happens when you finally get to the island. It was also impressive how some of the platforms gradually sink into the water, but you can still jump on them if they're close enough to the surface.
Great one! Love the color mixing mechanic. I was having trouble distinguishing between red and orange at first (maybe I need to turn f.lux off 😅). How to play screen is informative and concise. The progressively worsening sparks and flashing are prefect feedback, and once the alarm starts blaring, it really cranks up the stress. My mouse cursor disappeared on the game over screen.
Oh, and thanks for the title card! 💜
Interesting take on a dungeon crawl! It got a little repetitive toward the end. It seemed really well balanced for the amount of time you had to make and test! If you continue working on it, I think some little story snippets between choices/battles would be a cool additon.
36years.jpg And that was with a mouse touchpad.
Okay, the first couple rounds were "meh," and I just died right away. Then I caught on that I could spam spacebar instead of carefully aiming each shot, and THEN I realized that Newtons' 3rd law applies, and not only can you shoot the meteoroids, but you can fling yourself around by firing into space. After another few rounds in the teens for years survived, I was motivated to try for at least 30. Fun game! ☄
Very awesome of you. I'd be happy to play the game you worked on if you link it!
