Really great idea, and super polished!
This is a seriously amazing entry, the sound effects were prefect, the controls super intuitive, reloading a failed attempt was nice and quick, and adding the tutorial levels was genius! A seriously fantastic puzzler!
Cute graphics, on a classic runner format, great job!
A visually beautiful game, and such a well executed simple core idea! Fantastic work!
Really great aesthetic, like another commenter said, the fog of war was really great, super reminiscent of old rogue-likes!
Oh man, the controls for this entry are fantastic! I'm in love with how cute the birds are!
I did manage to squiggle the package into the wall here a couple times, haha flippin-finches.png
I think it took me a little to get to grips with the click to move mechanic, but a really cool idea, and executed fairly well, strong The Legend of Zelda NES game vibes!
Really great artwork, and a great take on the mini-game collage genre, awesome work!
Fantastic game, loved that it's multiplayer! My only feedback is similar to others (@stellarr2, @dan-allison, etc), if there was a little more visual distinction between background and foreground objects so you could more intuitively determine where to go and what to avoid. But the fact I'm being nit picky about that shows just how great a job you've done, awesome work!
This is a really innovative way to have interpreted the theme, great work!
Such a great idea, and really well executed!
Absolutely fantastic work cobba! My only gripe is that Manjimup doesn't have any apple trees :(
Loved the PS1 graphics, and that nearly everything was interactable, seriously great work!
Really loved the simple mechanic, and many of the levels really made me think! Awesome work on a great game!
OH and I loved that the levels were in JSON, a quick squiz in there made it seem like it'd be a breeze to make your own levels!
Great idea, great sfx, great take on the theme!
Apparently these guys *do* shoot the messenger, haha! Great visuals, and audio, but really nice work on the controls, they feel super good!
Game looks fantastic, and the spawning mechanic feels super natural, great work! That said I totally suck a it haha!
Great visuals, very Phoenix Wright/Professor Leyton-esque, but also super reminiscent of old visual novels! I, like a few others above, got stuck at the "shift 11" cheat thingy, I tried ctrl+ F11, shift + f11, ctrl + 1, shift + 1, etc, to no avail, not sure if I was missing something but overall I had a blast!
I get huge Binding of Isaac vibes from this one, with great visuals (LOVED the CRT screen bulge!), fantastic audio, and really tight controls.
Really great work, I can tell you put a lot of effort into making the game *feel* nice to play!
@radgegames I hear ya, it's so hard to accurately prioritise needs and wants in the moment, and sometimes a feature that seems like the quick fix for something wastes like 6 hours of your time, haha
Great humour, gorgeous aesthetics, just wish I could have driven myself to the locations. Overall great work!
Gawd this game is so freakin' cute! I love their little voices so much! I loved the larger maps on the harder modes, great work!
Super fun, classic gameplay style- very reminiscent of the old school time wasting games I played in school in the early 2000s. Great work!
Love a good hex grid! I loved the visuals, and the audio was fantastic, the goals were pretty clear, and I liked that there was a "Centre on the player" button, a godsend with such a big map! I'd echo what others above me have said with regards to travel being a little tedious with only being able to move 1 space, I'd have loved either a move queue, or just a "you can move 3 actions worth of spaces" kind of mechanic, that would let you move 3 spaces over grass, one over mountains, and one with a move left over for forests.
Otherwise I had a ball, great work!
Great premise, but man was I terrible at it, haha. Great work!
Very funny, cute GBA era graphics, and a really nice movement system, great work!
Great game, I just want to hold my little birbs and pet them
Really gorgeous pixel art, perfect sfx, and a really intuitive rhythm! I must have played a least 4 rounds before I noticed that you aren't punished for wrong answers, just rewarded for right answers, so you can just press all the keys and get the right one every time, haha.
Great work overall!
DwarfDash! Love it! Really great game, super reminiscent of Kingdom Two Crowns, but for having the group building mechanics. Awesome job!
It's a cool concept, with really interesting visuals, character was such a Chad XD
Cool little platformer, nice audio, and great graphics, loved the appearance of the scorcher haha
Great aesthetics, and pretty darn funny, but the controls were just a little floaty in a way that made it sometimes hard to judge whether you'd fly right past the platform you where aiming at, haha.
Great work overall!
Fantastic entry, loved the visuals, and I can't praise folks who make multiplayer entries high enough, sadly like many here I didn't have anyone to play with, so I definitely missed out on seeing this at is best. That said the movement was tight, and the actions felt weighty, so great job on an awesome little action platformer!
Loved the gameplay, really fast and intuitive, felt like playing Unreal Tournament 2004 in my childhood! I was super terrible at getting to places on time though, as I just had to much fun boinging around haha!
The premise is good, and the art was great, but it was a little confusing to understand the controls, making the text larger, or more conscience may have helped. Great work overall!
@random-ideation-studios I've re-written the text above to hopefully make it clearer that you need to boost to avoid better avoid the gulls.
We definitely wanted to have more in-game instruction, and a larger level, but ran out of time to do so. Thanks for playing, really appreciate the feedback.
@ntimi @skleembof A boost metre was definitely on the todo list, but we unfortunately ran out of time... I agree that without it it makes the mechanic feel very unintuitive. The same is true for the level, our original idea was to have a 10 street town, with the restaurants in single block and the houses in the outlying blocks, as well as have the customers give you fake reviews that you could see on the phone app, all cut due to time.
@nikaz @flying-dog-fish: Adding obstacles to avoid is a great idea, we could have even had things like trashcans that you could knock over and distract the birds with the trash!
@surfa @gog @goddoesplaydice: Thanks heaps for playing, we really appreciate the comments and feedback!
Really fun, really makes you prioritise between perfect fit, and not losing points on negative boxes. Great work!
I was able to play the game by downloading the source files, and letting Unity Hub fetch the version of unity you used and then just running it in Unity. Game was pretty fun, and frustratingly difficult!
Such a cute idea, I really had a lot of fun with it! and I actually burst out laughing when I saw the delivery guy scrab-doodle like an animal along a vertical board the first time!
If the game were just a little faster I think you could have a great framework on your hands, awesome job!
Hey, I wasn't able to play the game as I think the LDJam embedding restrictions are preventing it from loading. Might need to re-up it to itch or something? Chrome + Win10: Untitled.png
Took me a few seconds to figure out how to make repairs, but otherwise a really cool game!
Really cute idea, Id have spent hours playing this as a kid!
I assume you just ran out of time, but I can see the framework for a really fun little game here! The art was great, and the movement felt good- I actually laughed out loud at the "take my own life" button, haha
Absolutely fantastic audio work! The heartbeat-y sound sent shivers down my neck!
Loved the visuals, and the checkpoint system was clear and obvious, the scooter handled like it was driving in choccy pudding, but with a bit more time this would have been an amazing entry! Good work overall!
As others said, it's a shame that you weren't able to finish, looks like it would have been a great entry!
Great aesthetics, and super intuitive control scheme! I'd like to echo a little of what's been said above: The goal building would have been better with a more obvious look, something that made it seem special, and not blend in so much. Once I knew what to look for it wasn't so bad though. Awesome work!
Really great work, I was just watching tutorials about rope physics/verlet integration before the jam, great to see someone do such a good job of implementing it!
I'm super bad at it, but it was still really fun, great work!
Super cute, loved the character and the overall style, super great work!
