just a heads up: I didn't have the chance to test the linux build so there's a high probability that the online stuff doesn't work, since I tried with a WebGL build and that didn't work out of the box. Please let me know if you try it and it doesn't work.

One of the best graphic style in this jam, but it is difficult to understand where the obstacle is. Nice game :)

wow the dificulty curve is really really steep, sadly i couldn't move more than a couple meters 😥
Seems fun tho, great art too

Nice art, I love the fart sfx, the game is a bit punishing

The graphic style was really clean and nice to look at. However, it greatly added to the difficulty of understand what was an obstacle and what was just back ground. I'd have loved some distinction from the obstacles because hitting them often felt a bit unfair. Really nice game though!
Loved the art style!! It would make it a bit easier if the obstacles were accented somehow, was really tough to get through some

Like other people said the artstyle is great and the game is fun but yeah its hard to see obstacles
Extremally beautiful and fun to play. Just a little bit hard to understand the obstacles with this kind of graphics but it was coll to play.

The drawings are really good, but the monocromatic look makes it really hard to differentiate what it just environment art from what are platforms and obstacles.
Good looking game just like the old style comic strips in papers  at first it was bit hard to recognize the obstacles but after few tries that was not the issue for me. What i did not like so much was the smashing of K to move forward it's bit troublesome for me as my hands tire realy fast. Nice idea and theme was correct.
Liked the music and audio in general, graphics looks nice but until some time it's hard to see the obstacles. Gameplay is fine and challenging coop makes it better. Nice job, wish you a good jam

What a great entry! I loved both the mood, music and art style ! Like others, I must agree that it was difficult to find the obstacles, especially at the start! The more I played, the more I got used to it, but I was still making some mistakes from time to time. I played both alone and with someone, and I must say the later one is a bit better! Great job!

Thanks everyone, we considered coloring just some parts to draw attention to them but in the end we decided to keep it in black and white because we liked the aesthetic more, perhaps that wasn't the right call ahaha. Also noted: dial down the difficulty a bit. I just wanted to avoid having someone completing the level on the first run and finding it trivial, but apparently I went too hard in the opposite direction. Anyway thank you for your kind words and I'm glad some of you managed to try it in multiplayer mode :)

Interesting design. And very epic destruction :)
I really like this. Looks and sounds great and it's tough, it's really tough. But I enjoyed getting to grips with it and pulling off those first few jumps flawlessly without even having to think about after a couple of attempts. I think I agree with others that making the obstacles stand out more would be good but it'd also be a shame to lose the style as it is now because it really does look great.
Very fun game and some really nice artwork too, I didn't get to try it in multiplayer but it was still fun solo! I know other people have mentioned it already, but I really think colouring just the obstacles differently would make them stand out more, and keep the rest of the game in the same aesthetic.
I really liked the control method of hammering a key to speed up, although after a while it got tiring. Maybe having two keys which you have to alternate would take less stress off of one finger; and also imitate the motion of pedalling a bike?
I would also say that the difficulty level was not bad, but having checkpoints might have been a good idea as I failed often. Although, I think that to include checkpoints the level might need to be longer. These kind of levels could probably easily be randomly generated though if they weren't already.
Another good addition, especially for multiplayer might be a kind of progress bar at the top. This would show how close you are to the finish, and also show you how close everyone else is. Giving each player a different colour would help if that wasn't already a feature.
Again great game and I hope you continue to work on it!

thank you very much @josephgallear these are all great suggestions.
We considered the alternating buttons and liked the idea and tbh I don't remember why in the end we chose a single button ahaha, perhaps it was because we planned to deliver a smartphone and thought that smashing different buttons without a tactile feedback could have been weird, but without the touchscreen version it'would've probably been better to use two buttons.
The checkpoint idea is great if we want to make longer levels but for the current length they're probably not necessary (random generation was part of the plan but we didn't have time to implement it).
I love the idea of the progress bar, we didn't think of that but it would work very well with our idea (that we didn't manage to implement) to include username or color or something to recognize different players. It would help increasing the tension when you see someone getting closer to the finish line.
@dan-allison thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Really interesting game and frankly absurd you made a multiplayer game in a game jam lol. Difficulty curve is tight but a lot of fun

Good imagery!
love the aesthetic, and the vibe of the writing on the tutorial page filled me with pure glee, but i had trouble understanding the rules and exactly what the gameplay was expecting from me

@groundwater-studio The goal is to get to your customer on the right end of the level (the slightly open door with the money sticking out) before your opponents, while jumping over obstacles (i think they're called concrete bollard in English). In a single player game you can host a game and start the race and you just have to get to the end of the level. If you smash into them (or into the sides of balconies) you explode and have to start over. You move to the right by repeatedly spamming "K" and jump with spacebar. Please, let me know if you have any other doubt.
Nice game but I suck at it :( I didn't really make a lot of progress and I'm trying to rate other games so I don't want to spend a whole day getting good at 1 game I'm bad at. The art style is nice and simple, I like the black and white aesthetic, it's just hard to tell when there's a balcony or obstacle. The way the game is played, I think you'd get a workout for your right hand jitter clicking k, and you also have to know when to jump. It's a very tough game and I think it would be better if it wasn't as difficult, maybe making it easier to control the player with more than pressing k to add force. The music and sound is nice, for the first few times it was funny when I died cause of that sound lol. The theme also makes sense, delivering a pizza and dodging through obstacles, it's been the bread and butter idea of the jam but it works really well.
Overall good game, it's pretty tough so I wouldn't mind seeing it get easier somehow, like giving more responsive control or spacing out obstacles and making them easier to see, maybe by slightly tinting them a certain color.
First plan isn't stand out at all and you will need some tome to addict to this. Overall, very nice and fun game!

Great game, and really fun to play with a friend! Agree with above comments about the environment vs background that a pop of colour for the obstacles would be a quality of life improvement. Love the artstyle though!
Fantastic game, loved that it's multiplayer! My only feedback is similar to others (@stellarr2, @dan-allison, etc), if there was a little more visual distinction between background and foreground objects so you could more intuitively determine where to go and what to avoid. But the fact I'm being nit picky about that shows just how great a job you've done, awesome work!

Wow, multiplayer!!! Really neat! I played single player, but I will definitely come back later to try multiplayer!
Gameplay - I am sure my pizza was very, very cold by the time I delivered my first pizza haha. It took me a few tries - mainly because I wanted to bike faster, but I couldn't maneuver very well if I did. I'm totally cool with k being the only pedal button, but there were several times where I wished I had some sort of brake or backpedal button for when I knew I didn't have enough platform to make a jump and didn't want to start over again. I suppose in a race you don't really want to backpedal or brake anyways, but I found that the obstacle clearance was too tight to go faster. I replayed the level a few times after my first delivery to see if I could speed it up, but could only go a little faster, so this could be an area that would make the game really satisfying to play (or maybe I'm just bad haha). Since there's one fixed level, I thought having a final lap time display would be a nice touch. But if you're planning on randomizing the levels in the future, then I don't think a lap timer is that important.
Music was perfect (love the bicycle bell); the rhythm made me want to mash k immediately and as fast as I could, even though that move was not great for the first obstacle. The sfx were hilarious.
Art/Graphics were very clean; I like the style and the font. I know everyone's talking about coloring the obstacles - maybe you don't need to color them in, but slightly highlighting them might be enough to still match the rest of the art style.
Awesome job on your game!
