Pretty classic text adventure game, though I'm not a huge fan of the genre I can say I appreciate the writing, it's pretty neat!

Pretty classic text adventure game, though I'm not a huge fan of the genre I can say I appreciate the writing, it's pretty neat!
Love seeing text adventures show up in LD! Dystopian, too? Lovely. I particularly liked "Feel like shit, smell like shit." What a life motto.
I like plot based games, and this is one of the best of them from this ld.
Always cool to see a branching story. Nice work on the writing, too!
I like the William Gibson style narrative. The way it loops back to certain points helped me to keep going. I think if I could have heard the music and there were some pictures, or animation it would have kept me interested until the end.
Wow! 🤩 Best game of the jam I've played so far! This is definitely my cup of tea. So much content - I was actually surprised at how long it went on. Love the story. Love the looping concept. Love all the dystopian future elements. And thanks for the tip about allowing the music.
I want to know who the woman is and why she's important - you should make a sequel!
While not being a normal fan of text-based adventure game, I ended up playing this game for longer than any other entry this LD, that says a lot about this game!
Going to take a look at your post mortem, very interested in the process of making a large branching story like this.
Great take on the theme, very nice music and an overall fantastic entry!
@simon-rahnasto Thank you! I expect to do a second post mortem later this week, delving deeper into the narrative elements. I want to review and analyze it for myself a little more in depth so I might as well put it out there.
A really cool game, liked the story and the music. Good job!
A really cool storyline, I like the backtracking in the end, but I had a feeling that I had no choices in a pick your choice game. The plot was great, but I think it could have been improved with some images, and a bit of spacing of the lines, and the contrast of the text. Othervise good game, this is the first text-based game that I have stumbled across.
This was incredible! I think that if there was more player choice in the first third of the game, it would be improved, but overall this was really well written and fun to play. One of my favourites of the jam so far.
A good story with some interesting choices. Would have liked to have seen more choices though at the beginning.
Very cool, I love text games! The music was great too (though I _did_ have to have it on in SoundCloud in the background). My only real feedback is that Antediluvian's text was almost unreadable without highlighting it, being black on dark purple. Sure, more choices would be good, but that's a big ask for a 48 hour dev period. Anyway, thanks for the great game!
That was a really cool experience! The storyline was really engaging and the music helped to set the mood well, although the times when you only had one choice made it feel more like a story than a game. The language was also a bit strong for my liking, but it was still really well done! I really liked the concept of the game and the dystopian setting. I also agree with @shortcreative that you should totally make a sequel!
I am not a huge fan of text adventure. But cool to experience overall.
I really enjoyed the story. Great music too. The font colors could have been better (specially the black one).
I really like the story, but unfortunately didn't manage to see the end -- just kept going back to the start, until the point I gave up. I like your music, but didn't like it was the same during my entire play, even for different moments (action, waking up, getting the rifle). A little variety would improve the atmosphere, I think?
Other than that, I love to see more and more story-based entries in Ludum Dare each time. Yours is super creative, and with a very interesting background (dystopian stories are among my favorites). Great entry!
I managed to make it to the end, with only two backloops (not counting the last mandatory one). Good story, it was pleasant to go through it - I like being told good stories, if they are told well, and you did it here, so thank you, and good job!
Text based games are not my cup of tea but I managed to get this one to the end of it. I really enjoyed the story ! I got a good shuckle about the "Toxic masculinity" and that part when I said I had friends to help me out  And the music, oh boy do I love myself some synthwave ! I'd only wish for some SFX to play to add up to the experience, that'd be a great addition to the game, I think.
Keep up the good work !
This is super smooth and I really liked the dramatic way the text appeared on screen! Overall it was really smooth, but it would have been nice to have some more actual options!
Nice job!
The page styling looks good, and the story is enjoyable. The looping mechanic made dying feel less repetitive.
I like the music, good job.
