I like the polish with the parallax effect and walky talky filter. I would have loved that the camera displayed more of the area in front of the helicopter since I wasn't good enough to actually see a human get abducted before I died. Great work!
Cool game. The art style is nice and feels reminiscent of older 8 bit games. My only complaint would be with the controls. I feel like you intentionally made it a little difficult to turn around to help add gameplay difficulty, but due to that it's nearly impossible to look at an enemy without flying towards it. That mixed with a small screen size makes a lot of inadvertent collisions with things you are trying to shoot at. Overall though I think the game is really good.

Funny to play. This is a nice entry and have a good potential to be a complete game in my opinion (different stages, upgrades, heli types, and so on). Graphics are good, but alien bullets are near invisible, must add a outline or something. It is funny to get people on air and deliver then to ground or... just let then splat ahahhaha. Congratulations, it is a very nice game.
@gettingrekt I actually used walky talky's to record the sound clips hahahaha
@jimmothysanchez I battled with letting the player fly backwards or not for awhile and during my testing I found that I could get to wave 6 or so each time before it got really hard. I wanted to keep the play short to avoid boring players with repetitive game play
@jungle I noticed how invisible the bullets from the aliens were and thought it would help to make the game hard. I always make games too hard lol.
Fun game! I liked the ufos, and also the art style a lot, i think the controls are a bit floaty "which makes sense cause we are a friken helicopter", as jungle said, congrats! This is a very cool game :v:

The game vision here is great, but I want MORE. It's easy to get worn out of this gameloop within just a couple tries. Some suggestions:
1. Turning around should be faster. Searching for enemies requires searching the map a bit, but then when you inevitably swoosh past them, it can take a few seconds to turn around. While I understand this may have been the intentional design of the game, it felt more frustrating than fun.
2. The alien's projectiles need more contrast against the sky, they were very hard to see. Again this could be considered part of the game's intention, but it felt more accidental. Make them a sharp red color instead of a transparent green would help a lot.
3. Give the player something to work towards. I felt weak and lame. Killing the enemies didn't seem to give me any new abilities or points in any way. A basic weapon upgrade system (even if it was just default weapon + homing missiles as specials) would go a long way at adding strategy and replay value.

Nice game! I liked the idea in the first place and the design.
Just a small advice for the game play: I don't know it someone has said before but the controllers of the game were a bit difficult, moving up and down or back and forward wasn't as fast as I imagine or needed.
Apart from that, congratulations!! Looks great!
@ds-nahogara @the-neon-shark @bdiaztobarra I have taken the feedback and updated the game since we still have time. I made the alien lasers neon green much easier to see and made the heli turn around faster.

Nice! Love the radio dialogue - it took a while to figure out the screen scrolled horizontally - if you do post-dare polish, some reticules / mini-map would be cool.

Nice entry. Controls were a bit tough to setup a good aim at the aliens but other than that I really enjoyed it. Good use of dialog, hopefully if aliens ever attack it isn't up to one apache helicopter though :laughing:

LOL at the radio dialogue, and when I first shot I actually thought someone was knocking at my door. Those made me laugh so I'll this pretty high in humor. The graphics are very nice as well.
I have to say it, the HTML5 badge on the game icon made me pick this one to play.
Nice game. The game is well executed. A simple-seeming game, but quite fun to play. The mechanics aren't too hard to learn either.

Nice job. Reminded my of an old Atari game called Defender. You could probably add some indication that the enemy was hit.
Fun little game, the voiceover made me smile every time lol. I would maybe consider having a smaller map so that you can see all the enemies at once, on my first wave the enemy spawned all the way on the right side of the map and I didn't notice it for at least a minute lol
The camera didn't quite show enough of the level in front of the helicopter, but nice old school vibe overall
@itskdog absolutely was making a remake of Defender. I wanted to have the mini map at top but ran out of time.
@fulminderek I wish I had time to make the mini map, it would have fixed that issue.
@steve7411 I battled with how much to show in front of the heli... it was a balance between locking the camera to the heli or letting there be some dead zone in the middle.

I really liked the weight of the movements, it makes it difficult but it's believable. To make it better you could add more rotations to the directions that we are going. A turning animation for the helicopter would be great too.
Nice game! Well-done graphics, nice sound effects (I like the voiceover!), and definitely fits the theme. Not sure if it might have been intentional, but the controls felt like they could have been more responsive.

Polished graphics, nice voicing and sfx, needs a little practice to figure out how to manage the controls but fun to play once understood, very well done!
