Pretty fun game, but I really wish there was an indicator for where the next meteors would be! A random well placed meteor turns the good base of a strategy game into punishing RNG.
That said, I did enjoy it and the tile progression is really clever! It gave me board game vibes.
You should continue to iterate on this post-jam as I think you have a really solid game!
- some sort of indicator to where the meteor is coming down would be good - could use some music - sfx all have some odd noise/distortion to them - it would be useful if all of your resources showed on the UI at all times instead of only 2 of them. - the button press sequence was a bit to keep track of - 3D models all looked nice.
Gameplay was pretty fun. I agree with the meteor indicator. Other than that, I enjoyed the graphics and gameplay. Good submission.
Took me a couple tries to understand what to do, but once I understood I had a good time. I think this is a cool take on the theme and it plays well. Good job!
The game mechanic itself feels great, also the art style is cohesive! It's not really clear what do you have to do in the beginning, so probably some game indicators could help too.
Fun game once I understood how to play. Like the art style. Agree with comments above regarding an indication where meteorites will hit. Good entry,
Nice work, and cool take on the theme. The building mechanic was a little clunky to use and I bet you could have smooths that out if this wasn't a game jam. Very impressive that you got this together in a weekend. Cheers.
The camera that turns over and over makes me sick
Can't play too long, sorry.

I found a strat, if you keep pushing into the side when you fall off Rocky can hang on for dear life!

Got another 20ish seconds from this. Poor little rock guy :')
I struggled to understand the game at the beginning despite reading the instructions. After playing for a while, I finally got it, and the game became nicer and interesting. The whole destruction of the place makes you rush and really focus on the tasks. I didn't become good at it, but I liked the strategy that the game allowed with just 3 materials, since it combines with a different set of tiles to build. As everyone mentions, meteorite indication seems like a must, otherwise it felt unfair every time one hit me. Nice game overall!
Fun game. Took me some time to figure out controls, when I did I've enjoyed game pretty much. But still have a strange filling in losing controls and missing some tiles because of it. Overall good game, misses some music tho
Nice! Took me 2 rounds before I figured it out, but once I did I quite enjoyed it. Only suggestion I have it to maybe have a better tutorial. Maybe a video (you could even put the video on the page, not in the game) would help explain it better?
Controls took some getting used to, but a fun game! No obvious bugs that I found.
I like the concept here. I had a hard time getting into a flow because I kept getting meteoroided as other mentioned. Knowing where they are would be good agreed but also they come so fast and get you so soon. You don't really settle into the game and play. Maybe having an immediate consequence less than game over would help too.
I also struggled with the controls at first even after reading the instructions but eventually I got there.
Nice job making a game in 48 hours!
Great concept and well executed! Another +1 to the need for some sort of indication of where the next meteorite will hit.
I didn't really understand the building concept. I was able to harvest materials no problem, but failed to ever build anything after a few tries. Not really sure what I did wrong there as I read the instructions. I think this has potential and I appreciate the sensitivity slider in the main menu since the default is insane
It definitely takes some getting used to, and the sensitivity is way too high to start, but it is a very interesting idea. I like the building and converting terrain, but I feel like it could be a bit more responsive. Still a fun game though.
Funny game, I'm a pebble)
I dont really get how the sand and water items work so i only really ever built wood bridges. But the idea is really cool and original, really nice work!
I got to like 90s by spamming space and q, really unique concept and overall pretty fun! The only thing is... 610 MEGABYTE DOWNLOAD SIZE. Do you have some crazy high res assets or something XD
It's actually a really interesting game! I see that you need to balance your harvesting of sand and water. I am really glad you added a sensitivity slider ! It looked really nice when a meteor hit one of your tiles and it blew up. I wish it was a little easier to tell what tile was harvestable and sometimes I had trouble harvesting a forest tile even when it had a tree on it. The only other thing is as @mook mentioned, you can hang onto the ledge even after falling! After playing a few times, I managed to get 90 seconds. Thanks for the game and good job!
I really like the concept, the game is fun and looks good, but there are some usability issues. First I think that collecting materials should happen automatically rather than by pressing a key. Second laying bridges and turning them to sand should be mapped to the same button. And third it's not clear at all how to turn sand into grass and the ui makes it look like the resources for sand and grass somehow exclude each other because you never see them together. The audio could be improved too. But don't get me wrong I like the game, nice job!
Nice fun game, thank you for publishing
Nice concept. I loved playing it :fire:
