Loved the character voice acting!
I love the walking animation, the music and the lighting the art in general.. It feels very polished for such a little time. Also I love how the music behaves when you speed up time. I would definetly buy a game with this level of graphic quality if you decide to continue with it :)
Amazing job!!
just for the music when we run I find it very funny
I love the art and music. Also the fact that the music changes while running got a good laugh out of me.
It was fun to try out different ingredients and see what was made. And the assets/atmosphere were top notch! So I successfully created the Vampire Decoction but couldn't figure out how to merge the other two ingredients that the guy was talking about. I think it was just too confusing for me - the screenshots of ingredients in the book were really dark and hard to see and it was frustrating figuring out whether to boil something or put it in the mortar & pestle.
Cool concept and moody atmosphere. The controls feel a bit janky at times. Congratulations on a great submission!
Looks great and love the sounds, especially the running music is initially hilarious although it does get a bit annoying after a while. Only problem is that I feel like the instructions to the first recipe were too unclear, any kind of tutorial or even help screen could have been nice. I did not figure out how to even do the first summoning before getting too frustrated. Still, really cool stuff!
Really great game. Enjoyed it very much!
:))))))))))))))))))))))))) not me pressing the run button all the time to hear the funny music
Hey, I'm one of the authors behind the game. Based on feedback, we've noticed that the first task is a little too challenging. Today, I tried to solved it and had to check our developer's notes! :D We've decided to include the solution for the first task here to increase the number of people who see what the game has to offer
- Eye + Bat Wing -> Cauldron = Meat Stock - Blood + Bat Wing -> Cauldron = Vampire Decoction - Vampire Decoction + Cemetery Soil -> Bowl with stirrer = Defiled Soil
Have fun summoning monsters! :D
Yeah, too challenging. When designing game, keep in mind you're not the target audience. And speaking of game jams, it's better to make an easy game, that's a tutorial.
I like visuals and music. Especially the speed up shift :D
It was a little hard to understand what to do. Maybe there could be less recipes at the beginning and some indication that I can use shelves. At the beginning I was trying to enter the door.
I really enjoyed this game, and the art style worked really well. The main complaint I have with the game would be that the first challenge was too difficult, it should've really been more of an easy introduction to the game mechanics. On top of that I found the walking sound pretty annoying, I *think* partially due to it sounding like it peaks / clips as if it was too loud. Other than that I really enjoyed the game
Great entry, I like the atmosphere of the room and the goofy sprinting tune. I managed to craft everything possible I think but I couldn't summon anything. I placed the defiled soil and the meat stock on the pentagram, it said it was empty. Cool game overall.
I really want to like this game, and in many ways I do. However, the glaring flaw is the player is forced to do trial and error to figure things out. A little to a moderate amount is fine, but there is just so little direction given between the teacher and the book that there is way too much guesswork for the game to be fun. The art, the music, and pretty much everything else is great. This game has a lot of potential, and I suggest you keep working on it, there's a lot of fun to be had with this foundation.
It was fun to control the character, the setting was great, the room was cozy and cute and I love voxels. Successfully crafting something was satisfying, I liked that but it was too frustrating failing over and over. Considering how much detail there is and the great mood, it would be good to give players more guidance so that they stay and enjoy your hard work longer. The guy giving out pointers needs to be a bit more specific, at least for a few recipes. Like others, I was able to make some vampire stuff and maybe some kind of meat I don't remember but I couldn't combine them in anyway with either the cauldron or mortar, and I couldn't figure out how to make any other ingredients so that was that. Still, it was excellent work and a fun design; just got hampered by an immediate, overly difficult task.
