Nice improvement on snake gameplay. Graphics, controls and sounds are very good! The game flow is nicely balanced with new things to unlock. Not my type of game usually but the harvesting part match quite well with snake mechanics and I could'nt help but finish the game anyway. I'm globally impressed by this 48h project :D Great Job!
really interesting idea with great implementation, nice job
Graphics and sound create a very unique mood. Really interesting. And game itself is fun. Great Job!
This such a great idea. I feel like it ultimately is an evolution of Snake :) I enjoyed playing it and it gives you that nice satisfaction of some clicker games too. I wish there was a mode that zooms in on the harvester and follows it around so it's easier to see. Well done.
I love the art of the game! Not sure I really understood how to play because I keep failing, but at least I had fun!
It is a pretty great little game. The visuals and the sounds is really good. The gameplay is pretty fun. Overall a very well made jam game.
Good game but it did not like my widescreen.

@kodingnights Well, it didn't even cross my mind to check it on other aspect ratios
It looks very interesting. Do you have a video recording of the gameplay or can you do an HTML5 export? I'm not able to download the game right now because I'm not at a computer I can download software onto (work computer's locked down).
@sean-esopenko Until now I always did a WebGL games for Ludum Dare but unfortunetely this time during the jam it turned out I can't. I used a feature that is not working properly in WebGL (Terrain Details using GPU instancing). The only video I have is the short one above.
Anyway thanks for cheking out my entry. BTW I'm still amezed about creativity in your Calorie Crunch :)
A little hard to get for me but i love the graphics :))))
I could definitely see this game getting fleshed out and expanded-- the mechanics here are promising. You've constructed a very impressive game in such a short time! It strikes a particular tone and was genuinely addictive, and it looks amazing for a game made in 48 hours.
Good Job, I allways loved to play Snake on my Nokia 3310 (I'm old I know xD), The music, the ambience, the game is very nice and it is very well executed. To be honest the first time I didn“t understood all the mechanics, but I played a couple of times so I understood a bit how to organize myself to progress a little bit. Good job, a very solid entry!!! :)
Nice and chill design, very well done.
Great job on the game, the graphics and music are really nice. This type of game haven't been my cup of tea for years by now, but i can see myself losing a few hours with this one. The only real problem that i have with the game its the upgrade trailer, it got me fairly confused at the beginning, since its looks like its upgrade the capacity of the cargo hold, but its hard to tell because its just looks like the cargo just got lighter because you used to buy said upgrade, so it would be nice to have a clear feedback in that part. Other than that its a pretty good game.
Atmospheric. Great vibes. I eventually finished it but my first two attempts I ran into the side of the crater
Very helpful to include a guide image. I was a little overloaded when I first saw it, but the game ended up being a lot simpler than I first imagined.
I think someone else mentioned it being a lot like Snake, and I agree, but the space was large enough that I never ran into issues with the length of my tail. Only the side of the crater, which is stationary and obvious. Huh.
Wow. That was a lot of fun and the graphics are insanely good for the short amount of time you guys had to develop it. Thanks for sharing it, I had fun with it :)
Needless to say I gave you 5 stars on graphics lol
Pretty solid entry for a compo submission, it's very relaxing and fun but I think the progression may be too slow.
As everyone else is saying, very chill. You nailed the mood in this game. Well done.
Having keyboard shortcuts for everything was a definite must. There was no way I could switch between mouse and keyboard for this game. Though... I do have trouble splitting focus, so that may have been part of the problem.
Colliding with the crater wall is very punishing. It's frustrating to lose an entire run because you're a few degrees off of your desired course. However, I do appreciate the integration of snake mechanics in general. The upgrade costs combined with the snake mechanics did a good job of regulating the difficulty curve.
Also, seeing all the crystals grow was very satisfying.
It seems to me that you did a good job executing the simple concept in a way that was engaging and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing your game!
Interesting blend of snake and clicker. I loved the ambiance, look, and concept. I the progression was interesting but did feel a little slow since it took a while for the gameplay to be impacted by changes. Also given the slow growth it was particularly embarrassing when I bumped the outside edge and was insta-killed X)
A little bit long but great, relaxing game
Very good job, especially since you managed to develop the art and fairly complex mechanics in just 48 hours
Looks really nice and the mars theme is always welcome
Wow! That's quite an evolution of the classic snake. You did a real good job even though I find it a little bit punishing when you are hitting the walls after you spent quite some time building up your trailer.
Brilliant idea! Such a relaxing and cool experience. Only wish it had whoosh sound on sucking valuable minerals. I like how cheaper minerals are always in use till the very end: you gather them anyway so you need to get rid of them but prices are rising so every time you need gather more to spend them on upgrades. Great job!
I love the graphics and the moody very fitting sound scape! I like the setting, in a crater, so the level borders don't feel artificial but somehow fitting to the world ... I mean moon. I was a bit overwhelmed at first with all the numbers, but I understood after a while. I did not really understand the harverster's damage. I had cases where the harvester went in circle and breaking. Impressive for a game jam!
This is such a wonderful blend of so many different concepts and genres. Good job!
Took me a while to figure out how everything fits together. But after a while it really draws you in. The realtime aspect of snake, combined with the management aspect of the trailers is truly fun! And after a while you're like in the zone, which is a great feeling.
Would have loved to continue playing after 1M just to see my snake grow, lol. Thanks for your game!
Extremely fun concept - it's surprisingly difficult to balance all the upgrades, but it never felt too overwhelming. Great work on the balancing.
Fun game! It took me a while to figure out that the containers were generic and not for specific ores, but that was mostly down to me not reading the instructions at first haha.
This game looks very cool
I really liked this game. I really only had one super minor issue with it, and that is that the camera doesnt follow the snake. Only reason I suggest this is because given the perspective at the top of the crater it can be somewhat difficult to gauge exactly where you are in relation to the resources. Given that your harvester doesn't take that much damage its not that big a deal but I just think it would be somewhat better. Regardless really nice game, I enjoyed it!
I did it! Beat the game. I think it took like 30min? something like that. What a blast and brilliant innovation and work. I thought I would like it from the description but I knew I would like it when I saw the tutorial and figured out how it worked.
Yay, I won this game! It makes you grind a bit, and lacks an earlier notification when the vault is 90% full, for example. Anyway, great job!
Thanks for the review. Your game is what I wanted mine to look like!
Looks amazing and plays really well. Great job!!
Fun twist on Snake! Really like it! Congrats!
A wonderful idea, and it looks incredible too! I wish I could do 3d games that look this good!
